Morris was recalled from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre by the Yankees on Friday.

He's taking the roster and bullpen spot of the injured Nick Burdi (hip). Morris was acquired via trade from the Guardians over the offseason and has posted a 1.93 ERA and 11:6 K:BB across 9.1 frames with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre this season.

Burdi was placed on the 15-day injured list on Friday, retroactive to April 17, with right hip inflammation.

It's not clear when or how Burdi suffered the injury, but he will be sidelined for at least the next two weeks while he recovers. Burdi hasn't given up a run for the Yankees this season, putting up an 8:5 K:BB over 6.1 innings of work.

Chapman's suspension has been reduced to one game, Andrew Destin of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Chapman was initially given a two-game ban after getting into an altercation with an umpire during Monday's game versus the Mets. He will serve his one-game suspension Friday versus the Red Sox before rejoining the Pirates' bullpen Saturday.

Antone (elbow) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Friday.

The right-hander underwent season-ending surgery to repair the UCL and flexor tendon in his right elbow last week, so it was only a matter of time before he was moved to the 60-day IL. Given the nature of the procedure, Antone may not be ready to pitch in spring training next season.

Bolton (illness) fired a scoreless relief inning in Triple-A Tacoma's loss to Las Vegas on Thursday, issuing a walk and recording two strikeouts.

Bolton jumped into game action for the first time since April 5 and was exceedingly sharp, firing 11 of his 14 pitches for strikes. The right-hander appears to be over his recent bout with kidney stones, and given his success Thursday, he could well be activated when first eligible Sunday as previously suggested by general manager Justin Hollander.

Snider (knee) allowed an earned run on two hits over one inning in a relief appearance for Triple-A Tacoma against Las Vegas on Thursday. He struck out two.

Snider landed 13 of 19 pitches for strikes in his first time on a mound since taking a comebacker to his left knee against the Brewers on April 7. He'll likely make one more rehab appearance before potentially being activated when first eligible Tuesday.

Jacques was designated for assignment by the Red Sox on Friday, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

It had been reported that Jacques was being optioned, but as it turns out he's being removed from Boston's 40-man roster instead. Cam Booser is up to take his spot on both the 26-man and 40-man rosters.

Hentges (finger) will begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Akron on Friday, Tom Withers of the Associated Press reports.

Hentges began facing hitters earlier this week, and he's now ready to get into game action. He dealt with a swollen finger during spring training and has been out for over a month. Once he's ready to join the major-league roster, he'll be tasked with joining a competitive group that is second in the majors with a 2.29 bullpen ERA.

Sedlock signed a minor-league contract with the White Sox on Wednesday.

The 28-year-old made one appearance with the Orioles in 2022 before being traded to the Tigers and eventually released. He didn't pitch anywhere in 2023 and has been assigned to Chicago's Arizona Complex League affiliate for the time being. Sedlock was a first-round pick by the O's in 2016, but he has battled numerous arm issues during his career.

Brebbia (calf) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Charlotte on Friday, LaMond Pope of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Brebbia is eligible for activation from the 15-day injured list Sunday, and it would appear he could be back at that time if he can get through Friday's rehab appearance without any hiccups. The veteran reliever has been out the last two weeks with a right calf strain, which was an apparent aggravation of an injury he suffered back in February.
