The Guardians optioned Strzelecki to Triple-A Columbus on May 16.

Strzelecki was called up from Triple-A on May 13 but stuck around with the big club for just three days before being sent out to Columbus when fellow reliever Sam Hentges returned from the paternity list. Since his demotion to Triple-A, Strzelecki has appeared in three games and has struck out five over four innings while giving up one earned run on two hits and no walks.

Ginkel (2-1) was tagged with Sunday's 3-1 loss, giving up three unearned runs on three hits while striking out one over one inning to the Marlins.

Ginkel deserved better, but the normally surehanded Kevin Newman had a throwing error that led to all of Miami's runs being unearned. It continues a rough stretch for Ginkel, the one-time closer, who has allowed nine runs (six earned) on 13 hits and two walks over last 6.1 innings. That stretch includes Sunday's loss and a pair of blown saves.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Wednesday that Effross (back) is doing well and has been throwing bullpen sessions for several weeks, MLB.com.

Effross hasn't seen game action since the 2022 campaign, and he underwent Tommy John surgery in October of that season. The righty reliever then had back surgery last December, which delayed his quest to return to the majors. Effross appears set to throw live batting practice soon, and the following step could be a minor-league rehab stint.

Estrada (2-0) earned the win over the Yankees on Sunday, striking out all five batters he faced.

Estrada threw 20 of 26 pitches for strikes and got all five of his punchouts on swinging strikes. The right-handed reliever has now struck out each of the last 10 batters he's faced swinging to set a Padres record. Estrada's been dominant during his time with San Diego this season, allowing just one earned run over 15.1 frames while posting a 25:4 K:BB.

Quijada (elbow) threw bullpen sessions May 17 and May 21, MLB.com reports.

Quijada is making his way back from the Tommy John surgery he underwent May 17, 2023. He's been rehabbing at the Angels' training facility in Arizona and could be ready to return from the 60-day injured list in early July. Quijada will likely take on a low-leverage spot in the Angels bullpen upon his return.

Bachman (shoulder) tossed a scoreless inning Saturday in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League, allowing one hit and striking out one batter.

Bachman is making his way back from offseason shoulder surgery, and he appears to be past the mid-back spasms that slowed his throwing progression in late April. The right-hander is likely looking at several minor-league outings before the Angels consider activating him from the injured list. All 11 of Bachman's big-league appearances last season came in relief, and he could fill a similar role upon his return to the big club unless a spot opens up in the team's rotation.

Cisnero (shoulder) started a throwing progression May 9 and advanced to throwing off a mound last Sunday, MLB.com reports.

Cisnero landed on the 15-day injured list with right shoulder inflammation April 28. Angels manager Ron Washington said at the time that the injury isn't considered serious, and the righty reliever has been making steady progress toward a return. Cisnero struggled prior to being placed on the IL, posting a 7.07 ERA, 1.71 WHIP and 16:7 K:BB through 14 innings.

Phillips (hamstring) retired all three batters he faced -- including two by strikeout -- in a rehab outing with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga on Sunday.

Phillips needed just 11 pitches to get through the frame. The appearance was the first for the closer since he went on the 15-day injured list with a right hamstring strain May 5. Phillips will likely get in one or two more rehab outings before he's deemed ready to return to closing duties with the Dodgers.

Kinley tossed a perfect inning and earned a save against the Phillies on Sunday.

Kinley needed just nine pitches to quickly close out the 5-2 victory. It was his second save of the year and first since May 15. Jalen Beeks has blown his last two save chances and allowed a run in three straight outings. His grip on the closer role doesn't seem very secure right now. Kinley has produced a 2.45 ERA with a 10:2 K:BB over his last 11 innings.

Hader allowed a solo home run and struck out one batter during Sunday's win over Oakland.

Hader entered a non-save situation and eventually finished off the 5-2 win, but not before coughing up a solo shot to Shea Langeliers. That homer snapped Hader's 8.1-inning scoreless streak and his seven-inning hitless streak. The veteran southpaw owns a 4.13 ERA with a 38:9 K:BB and seven saves this season.
