Garcia (elbow) didn't pitch in a rehab game at Triple-A Buffalo as scheduled Tuesday due to neck stiffness, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Garcia's injury isn't considered to be serious, but the Bisons opted to hold him out of the game as a precaution. The 33-year-old reliever is now slated to appear in Wednesday's game, assuming he feels better by then. It's unclear how many additional rehab appearances he will need to make past Wednesday, though a return to Toronto before the All-Star break has not yet been ruled out.

Peralta was removed from Tuesday's game against the Mariners due to an apparent groin injury, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Peralta winced and grabbed at his groin immediately after making a pitch in the ninth inning of Tuesday's contest, resulting in him exiting alongside a trainer. He'll presumably undergo imaging in the Padres' clubhouse to determine the nature/severity of his injury, and the team should provide an update shortly after the game.

Hader walked one and struck out two in a scoreless and hitless inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Marlins.

Entering Tuesday, Hader had yielded a run in four of his last six appearances. He was able to avoid that fate in this contest, earning his 16th save of the year, nine of which he's collected since the start of June. His recent inconsistency has pushed his ERA up to 4.05 with a 1.05 WHIP and 63:12 K:BB through 40 innings, but he's still taken just one blown save this year.

Fairbanks earned the save in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Yankees, allowing one hit while striking out one in a scoreless ninth inning.

Fairbanks worked around a DJ LeMahieu one-out single, striking out Ben Rice before coaxing a flyout off the bat of Juan Soto to close out a two-run victory while securing his 15th save of the year. The 30-year-old Fairbanks has converted his last six save opportunities, allowing just one run on one hit in that span. His ERA is down to 3.13 with a 1.17 WHIP and 32:13 K:BB across 31.2 innings this season.

Vest (1-3) allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits over 1.1 innings of relief to take the extra-inning Tuesday against the Guardians. He walked one and struck out one.

Vest got the final out of the ninth inning but ran into some trouble in the 10th to take his third loss of the season and second this month. Despite the hiccup, the righty has been solid this year with a 3.43 ERA across 39.1 innings out of Detroit's bullpen. Vest should continue to work in a high-leverage role for the Tigers, though he's been clearly behind Jason Foley for save opportunities thus far.

Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said Tuesday that Beeter will visit a specialist for his right shoulder injury and could miss the rest of the season, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Prior to landing on Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre's 7-day injured list May 21, Beeter went 3-1 with a 2.53 ERA, 1.19 WHIP and 44:21 K:BB over 32 innings in seven starts. Beeter's upcoming meeting with a specialist should help determine whether he needs surgery on his shoulder, or if he can continue to treat the injury through rest and rehab. A firmer timeline for his eventual return to the Triple-A rotation should become available within the next several days.

The Rays recalled Rodriguez from Triple-A Durham on Tuesday, Ryan Bass of Bally Sports Sun reports.

The Rays traded Phil Maton to the Mets on Tuesday, so Rodriguez will now be called upon to fill the vacancy in Tampa Bay's bullpen. The 27-year-old righty allowed three earned runs in 9.2 innings during a brief stint in the majors earlier this year, and he's posted an impressive 1.09 ERA and 1.03 WHIP through 24.2 innings at Durham. He'll likely be used in middle relief while with the Rays.

The Rays traded Maton to the Mets on Tuesday in exchange for a player to be named later or cash.

In 40 appearances with the Rays, Maton has posted a 4.58 ERA and 1.33 WHIP over 35.1 innings -- a considerable step back from his 3.00 ERA and 1.12 WHIP in 2023. He'll now head to New York in order to add depth to the Mets' bullpen and will likely remain in a middle-relief role. Joey Lucchesi was designated for assignment in order to free up a spot on the 40-man roster.

The Dodgers recalled Petersen from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday, Kirsten Watson of Spectrum SportsNet LA reports.

Petersen was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday after allowing five earned runs across 9.2 innings across six appearances, but he's been summoned with the Dodgers in need of a fresh bullpen arm. His return coincides with Tyler Glasnow (back) landing on the injured list.

The Cubs activated Leiter (forearm) from the 15-day injured list Tuesday, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Following Leiter's live batting practice session Saturday, manager Craig Counsell said he would be activated during the Cubs' upcoming series at Baltimore. The right-hander was on the injured list due to a right forearm strain and is now set to make his return after landing on the IL on June 23. In a corresponding move, Ethan Roberts was optioned to Triple-A Iowa.
