Weissert (2-2) allowed three runs (one earned) on three hits and two walks over 1.1 innings, picking up a blown save and the loss in extra innings to the Dodgers on Saturday.

Weissert entered in the 10th inning and gave up a pair of run-scoring hits that wiped out Boston's two-run lead. He was allowed to come back for the 11th and permitted a walk-off, bases-loaded single. It was the second consecutive game that the Red Sox's bullpen blew a late-game lead, as the team may be feeling the absences of Justin Slaten (elbow) and Chris Martin (elbow). Weissert entered the contest having allowed 12 runs (10 earned) on 12 hits and four walks over his previous 7.2 innings.

Jansen allowed one run on two hits and a walk, picking up a blown save in Saturday's 7-6 extra-innings loss to the Dodgers.

Jansen ceded a leadoff home run to former Red Sox and Dodgers teammate Enrique Hernandez in the bottom of the ninth, forcing extra frames. It was the second straight game that Boston's bullpen coughed up a late lead. The blown save was just the second of the season for Jansen, who has allowed two runs on four hits and two walks over his last three innings.

The Rays recalled Zuber from Triple-A Durham on Sunday.

Tampa Bay added Zuber to its 40-man roster over the All-Star break, and the righty reliever will now make his return to the big leagues for the first time since 2021 after getting recalled. Zuber missed all of the 2022 season and a large chunk of the 2023 campaign while he battled shoulder impingement syndrome, but he's been healthy and effective since joining the Rays on a minor-league deal in mid-May. Over 21.2 innings out of the Durham bullpen, Zuber logged a 2.49 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 29:6 K:BB.

Vodnik picked up the save over the Giants on Saturday, pitching a perfect ninth inning while striking out one.

Vodnik was tasked with protecting a one-run lead in the top of the ninth, and the right-hander did not disappoint, going 1-2-3 through the middle of San Francisco's lineup to secure his third save of the campaign. Vodnik has now converted each of his three save opportunities this month after blowing two save chances in the latter part of June. He's also posted at least one strikeout in 12 straight appearances.

Faedo (5-1) tossed two scoreless innings of relief to earn the win in Saturday's 7-3 victory over the Blue Jays. He allowed one hit and struck out three.

Detroit starter Reese Olson was forced to exit after two innings due to right shoulder soreness, which brought Faedo into the contest. The righty pitched well and earned his fifth win out of the bullpen this season, which ties him with Shelby Miller for the team lead among relievers. The long relief role isn't the most fantasy friendly, though Faedo has pitched well this year, compiling a 3.35 ERA and 41 strikeouts across 45.2 innings overall.

Smyly tossed two scoreless innings of relief in Saturday's 3-0 loss to the Diamondbacks. He allowed a hit and struck out one.

Smyly continues to pitch well for the Cubs in a long-relief role, as he's allowed just one run this month in six appearances. Overall, the veteran lefty has lowered his ERA to 2.92, which would be the second-lowest mark of his 11-year MLB career. Chicago seems content to keep Smyly in the bullpen, though fifth starter Kyle Hendricks has a 6.69 ERA and could get bumped from the rotation if the team decides to mix things up at some point.

The Athletics list Bido as their starting pitcher for Tuesday's game against the Astros in Oakland.

Bido made a spot start with the Athletics in May and nine starts at Triple-A Las Vegas earlier this season, but he's worked exclusively out of the bullpen since getting called up to Oakland on June 21. After tossing a scoreless inning in Friday's 13-3 win over the Angels, Bido will be taking the hill Tuesday on three days' rest, though he needed just eight pitches to retire the side in the relief outing. Bido likely won't be asked to handle a typical starter's workload Tuesday, but he should be capable of giving the Athletics four or five innings if he's able to work efficiently.

Stewart (shoulder) has given up one run in three innings at Triple-A St. Paul with five strikeouts and two walks during a rehab assignment. He'll make at least one more appearance before being activated from the injured list next week, Dan Hayes and Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic report.

Stewart has been on the shelf with shoulder tendinitis since early May. With a 0.66 ERA and 34.8 percent strikeout rate over 41 career innings with the Twins, Stewart will be a big boost to the bullpen once he returns.

Ortiz (5-2) picked up the win Saturday, allowing three hits and two walks over seven scoreless innings in a 4-1 victory over the Phillies. He struck out two.

The right-hander continued an impressive stretch that has seen him give up only three runs in 26.2 innings over his last five appearances (four starts) with a 23:3 K:BB. Ortiz may not be able to hang onto a rotation spot once Jared Jones (lat) gets healthy no matter how well he does, but he's making a strong case to be in the Pirates' long-term pitching plans. Ortiz will take a 2.57 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 59:21 K:BB through 73.2 innings this season into his next outing, which is scheduled to come on the road next weekend in Arizona.

Diaz struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Saturday to record his 11th save of the season in a 1-0 win over the Marlins.

He closed out the combined shutout on 12 pitches (nine strikes), with his fastball topping out at 98.5 mph. Diaz appears to be back in nearly peak form -- he hasn't given up a run in eight appearances since coming off the IL in mid-June, piling up six saves and two wins with a 0.78 WHIP and 8:3 K:BB over 7.2 innings during that stretch.
