Minter was pulled in the eighth inning of Saturday's 2-0 win over the Nationals due to left triceps tightness, Manny Gomez of NJ.com reports.

Minter appeared to suffer the injury on his ninth pitch of the inning, and he was lifted quickly after being checked on by a trainer. Manager Carlos Mendoza said after Saturday's game that Minter will "most likely" require a stint on the injured list, per Gomez. Minter posted a 1.69 ERA, 0.94 WHIP, six holds and a 13:4 K:BB across 10.2 innings prior to Saturday's outing.

The Pirates activated Holderman (knee) from the 15-day injured list Saturday, Colin Beazley of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Holderman landed on the 15-day IL due to a right knee sprain, but he's fully recovered after two rehab outings. He allowed one run on three hits while striking out one over 1.2 innings in the minors, and he'll look to improve on his 9.64 ERA and 2.14 WHIP in the majors upon his return to the Pirates' bullpen. To make room on the 26-man roster for Holderman, the Pirates optioned Mike Burrows to Triple-A Indianapolis in a corresponding move.

The Dodgers optioned Davis to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Saturday.

Davis has allowed four runs (three earned) in 2.2 innings since being recalled from Triple-A on April 18. His poor performance will cause him to be sent down in favor of Yoendrys Gomez, who was claimed off waivers from the Yankees on Friday.

The Reds placed Gibaut on the 15-day injured list Saturday with a right shoulder impingement.

Gibaut surrendered two runs in one inning during his appearance Friday, and it seems he injured his shoulder in the process. The Reds will now put him on the shelf for at least the next 15 days and call up Lyon Richardson to fill the open spot in their bullpen.

Rodriguez threw two scoreless innings in Friday's 2-0 loss to the Rangers, allowing two hits and striking out three.

Rodriguez worked two innings for the first time this season, throwing 15 of his 24 pitches for strikes while giving up two singles. The 25-year-old has been impressive so far and is the first Giants pitcher since 1901 to record 11 scoreless outings to start the season -- a feat that has been accomplished only 16 times in big-league history. Rodriguez owns a 0.00 ERA, 0.69 WHIP and 16:0 K:BB across 11.2 innings.

Garrett gave up a hit and struck out one in a scoreless eighth inning Friday to record his eighth hold of the season in a loss to the Nationals.

The Mets' bullpen was shorthanded with Edwin Diaz (hip) unavailable, but Garrett got the job done as a setup man before Ryne Stanek blew the save in the ninth. Garrett had a breakout first half in 2024 before developing elbow trouble, and he's having another fantastic start to the current campaign, posting a 0.00 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 12:4 K:BB through 10.2 innings. The 32-year-old righty's eight holds are one off the major-league lead.

Diaz (hip) was able to play catch before Friday's game without any issues, but Mets manager Carlos Mendoza still elected not to use him in a save situation that night due to his recent workload, Mike Puma of the New York Post reports.

Ryne Stanek instead got a chance to protect a 4-3 lead against the Nationals in the ninth inning, but he served up a leadoff triple to Dylan Crews and an RBI single to Jose Tena to blow the save. Diaz had pitched five times in nine days heading into Friday, allowing just a solo homer in 5.1 innings with a 10:2 K:BB, so some extra rest was warranted after he developed cramping in his left hip Wednesday. He should be available to handle any save situation that arises Saturday.

Rogers retired all three batters faced to earn a hold in Friday's 8-7 win over Colorado. He did not record a strikeout.

Rogers earned his third hold and has not allowed an earned run in nine of 11 appearances. His name was included as a potential closer alternative this spring, but the Reds have settled on Emilio Pagan in that role for now. Meanwhile, Rogers is thriving in a middle-inning role, posting a 2.00 ERA over nine innings.

Santana gave up a hit in a scoreless eighth inning Friday to record his fourth hold of the season in a 3-0 win over the Dodgers.

The Pirates had said they were going to give David Bednar another look as the closer at some point, and that moment may have arrived -- Bednar pitched a scoreless ninth Friday for his second save of the year. Santana should remain in a high-leverage role given his 1.46 ERA and 0.89 WHIP through 12.1 innings, but his 7:3 K:BB hasn't matched the dominance Bednar is capable of when he's in top form.

The right-hander wrapped up the combined shutout with his first save since he re-joined the big-league roster last weekend. Bednar hasn't allowed a run in four appearances since his return with a 7:1 K:BB, and Dennis Santana worked a scoreless eighth inning Friday for his fourth hold, so the Pirates appear ready to give the 30-year-old another shot at the closer role.
