Pittsburgh recalled Sisk from Triple-A Indianapolis on Friday.

The southpaw spent just over two weeks in Indianapolis before rejoining the Pirates in St. Louis for their series opener Friday. With the big-league club this season, the 29-year-old owns a 2.66 ERA, 1.25 WHIP, 47:18 K:BB and five holds over 40.2 innings. Pittsburgh optioned Noah Murdock to Triple-A to clear a spot in the bullpen for Sisk.

Tong's recent turnaround with Triple-A Syracuse has made him a candidate to replace Robert Stock in the Mets' rotation when rosters expand in September, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Tong has struggled this season to maintain his extreme over-the-top arm angle while incorporating new pitches into his arsenal, primarily a cutter, but the 23-year-old right-hander may have finally figured things out. He's allowed one run or fewer in five of his last six starts for Syracuse, posting a 2.48 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 34:15 K:BB over 29 innings during that stretch. Stock will stay on turn Monday -- the final day of August -- for a road start against the Rays, but if Tong maintains or even improves on his current form when he takes the mound Saturday at Triple-A, his next start will likely come in the big leagues.

Suarez (elbow) could begin throwing off a mound Monday, MLB.com reports.

The right-hander threw on flat ground from 120 feet Thursday as he continues to recover from elbow inflammation. Suarez last pitched for Atlanta on June 19, so activation from the IL isn't imminent, but if he avoids any setbacks he could still boost the team's playoff push sometime in September.

Walker allowed two hits while striking out one in a scoreless inning during Thursday's 6-1 win over Arizona.

Walker struggled during his previous stint in the big leagues, but he was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento on Monday and hasn't surrendered a run in any of his three appearances since. The 30-year-old right-hander has allowed four hits and one walk while striking out three in 3.2 innings over that three-game stretch. Overall, he owns a 6.60 ERA, 1.77 WHIP and 22:16 K:BB across 30 innings with San Francisco this season.

Manaea (4-6) took the loss against the Brewers on Thursday, allowing six runs on eight hits and one walk in 5.2 innings. He struck out three.

Manaea was working with a slippery mound at rainy Citi Field on Thursday, failing to work at least six innings for the first time in his last seven starts. The left-hander coughed up six runs -- tying a season high -- and even gave up a season-worst eight knocks, including three extra-base hits. He'll look to bounce back in his next scheduled appearance against the Rays in pitcher-friendly Tampa Bay, where Manaea will carry a 4.55 ERA, 1.32 WHIP and 120:40 K:BB over 122.2 innings.

O'Brien earned the save in Thursday's 7-5 win over the Orioles, allowing a hit while striking out one with no walks in a scoreless ninth inning.

It was a much-needed clean outing for O'Brien, since the closer had taken losses in both of his previous two appearances while allowing seven runs over just 1.2 innings. O'Brien is now 34-for-39 in save chances this season with a 3.95 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 54:23 K:BB across 54.2 innings.

The Diamondbacks optioned Jameson to Triple-A Reno following Wednesday's 2-0 win over the Cubs.

Jameson made one appearance after getting reinstated from the 15-day injured list Sunday. He allowed two earned runs on three hits and a walk over two frames in Monday's 7-0 loss to the Cubs. Jose Cabrera was recalled from Triple-A Reno in a corresponding move Thursday.

The Dodgers recalled Halvorsen from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday.

Halvorsen will replace Roki Sasaki (finger) on the active roster and replenish the Dodgers' bullpen depth as Eric Lauer moves back into the rotation. Halvorsen owns a 4.50 ERA and 1.90 WHIP across 20 innings this season but has yet to give up a run in the majors or at Triple-A since joining the Dodgers organization in late July.

The Mets recalled Curry from Triple-A Syracuse on Thursday.

Curry will provide bullpen protection after the Mets' relief corps was needed for five frames in Wednesday's loss to the Brewers. The right-hander has logged a 2.81 ERA and 10:7 K:BB over 16 innings during his time with the big club in 2026.

The Mets optioned McDermott to Triple-A Syracuse on Thursday.

McDermott tossed two innings and threw 48 pitches in Wednesday's loss to the Brewers, so he's being sent out in favor of a fresh bullpen arm. Xzavion Curry will absorb McDermott's spot on the roster.
