  • Roddery Munoz RP | HOU

Cardinals' Roddery Munoz: Heading back to minors

The Cardinals optioned Munoz to Triple-A Memphis on Tuesday.

Munoz's latest stint in the big leagues lasted only one day, and he tossed a scoreless frame in Monday's win over the Cubs. He's moving off the roster to make space for Michael McGreevy, who was recalled from Memphis to start Tuesday's contest against the Cubs.

  • Jack Dreyer P | LAD

Dodgers' Jack Dreyer: Will open in Colorado on Tuesday

Dreyer will serve as the Dodgers' opening pitcher Tuesday in Colorado, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Justin Wrobleski is a good bet to absorb most of the innings as a bulk reliever, although manager Dave Roberts isn't divulging those plans. Dreyer holds a 3.18 ERA and 39:15 K:BB over 39.2 innings covering four opener assignments and 26 relief outings this season.

  • Chris Devenski RP | PIT

Mets' Chris Devenski: Sent back to minors

The Mets optioned Devenski to Triple-A Syracuse on Tuesday.

He's clearing out to make room on the roster for Frankie Montas (lat), who will make his season and Mets debut Tuesday. Devenski has allowed two runs with a 5:1 K:BB over five innings during his time with the big club in 2025.

  • Pirates' Michael Darrell-Hicks: Poised for promotion

The Pirates will recall Darrell-Hicks from Triple-A Indianapolis prior to Tuesday's game in Milwaukee, Noah Hiles of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

He'll take the roster spot of Hunter Stratton. Darrell-Hicks was a waiver claim earlier this month and has allowed eight runs with a 6:4 K:BB over 7.2 frames at the big-league level in 2025.

  • Yosver Zulueta SP | SEA

Reds' Yosver Zulueta: Moved to Triple-A

The Reds optioned Zulueta to Triple-A Louisville on Tuesday.

The transaction frees a roster spot for right-hander Chase Burns, who has been called up to start Tuesday's game against the Yankees. Zulueta had just been recalled Sunday and did not make an appearance out of the bullpen during his most recent stint in the majors.

  • Isaac Mattson RP | PIT

Pirates' Isaac Mattson: Solid in high-leverage spot

Mattson allowed one hit and struck out three across 1.2 scoreless innings to earn a hold Monday against the Brewers.

The Pirates deployed a bullpen approach Monday, and Mattson was tasked with holding the lead in the seventh and eighth innings. He faced the top five hitters in the Brewers' order and allowed only a single to William Contreras. Mattson could be a candidate to see more consistent high-leverage spots moving forward, as he delivered a 9:2 K:BB across 10.1 innings while allowing only two earned runs with a 0.58 WHIP since being recalled June 7.

  • Derek Law RP | ARI

Nationals' Derek Law: Rehab shifting to Triple-A

Law (forearm) will have his rehab assignment moved from Double-A Harrisburg to Triple-A Rochester on Wednesday, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.

The veteran reliever has given up three runs on four hits and a walk in 2.2 innings over two appearances for Harrisburg, but he built up to 33 pitches in his latest outing Sunday. Law, who has yet to pitch for Washington this season due to a forearm issue that cropped up in the spring, is on track to join the big-league bullpen by early July, and he could slot into a setup role in front of closer Kyle Finnegan.

  • Pirates' Hunter Stratton: Expected to be sent down

The Pirates will option Stratton to Triple-A Indianapolis prior to Tuesday's game against the Brewers, Noah Hiles of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Stratton was roughed up for three runs over an inning Monday in Milwaukee and will head back to the minors a day after the appearance. It's not yet clear who the Pirates will be adding to the roster in Stratton's place.

  • David Bednar RP | NYY

Pirates' David Bednar: Secures 11th save

Bednar earned the save in Monday's 5-4 victory over the Brewers, allowing a hit and a walk in a scoreless inning with one strikeout.

After yielding a leadoff single to Caleb Durbin, Bednar was bailed out when Durbin was caught attempting to steal second. The Pittsburgh closer then worked around a free pass to Jake Bauers to lock down his 95th career save. Since being recalled from the minor leagues April 19, Bednar has rounded back into All-Star form with a 2.10 ERA, 0.90 WHIP and 37:5 K:BB over 25.2 innings while going a perfect 10-for-10 in save opportunities.

  • Pirates' Braxton Ashcraft: Goes three frames in first start

Ashcraft did not factor into the decision in Monday's 5-4 win at Milwaukee, allowing one hit and no walks over three scoreless innings with two strikeouts.

The 25-year-old rookie made all seven of his previous appearances out of the bullpen, so he wasn't expected to go deep in this contest. Ashcraft managed to stymy the Brewers lineup across his 35 total pitches, 28 of which were strikes. Prior to being called up May 26, the right-hander had started 10 games for Triple-A Indianapolis, so it is possible that the Pirates are seeking to incorporate Ashcraft into the big league rotation. Through 14.2 total major-league innings, he has pitched to a 1.23 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 12:6 K:BB.
