  • Derek Law RP | ARI

Giants' Derek Law: In walking boot

Law was seen wearing a walking boot Sunday, Andrew Baggarly of The Athletic Bay Area reports.

Law, who was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento on Thursday, was reportedly seen sporting a walking boot in the Giants' clubhouse Sunday in Pittsburgh. No other news of the injury has been conceded, but it sounds like the reliever is dealing with some sort of foot or ankle setback.

  • Brent Suter RP | ATL

Brewers' Brent Suter: Serves up two homers in loss

Suter (2-3) took the loss to the Rockies on Saturday, allowing four runs on seven hits -- including two home runs -- in five innings. He struck out two and walked one.

Called upon to replace Chase Anderson (illness) on short notice, Suter struggled in a tough setting. Trevor Story was the thorn in his side, accounting for all four runs against Suter with two homers and an RBI double. With Anderson joining Wade Miley (oblique) on the disabled list, Suter will presumably stay in the rotation and start against the Twins next weekend. His middling strikeout rate gives him a fairly hard cap in the fantasy game.

  • Jarlin Garcia RP | PIT

Marlins' Jarlin Garcia: Gives up five runs in no-decision

Garcia didn't factor into the decision in Saturday's loss to the Braves, allowing five runs (four earned) on seven hits and two walks over six innings while striking out four.

Three of the seven hits off the left-hander were homers, including two by Freddie Freeman, but he avoided the loss thanks to a fifth-inning rally that briefly gave Miami a 5-4 lead. Garcia's 3.14 ERA on the season isn't supported by his mediocre 30:17 K:BB through 43 innings, and his 1.7 HR/9 makes him a volatile fantasy option heading into a rematch with the Braves in Atlanta on Friday.

  • Jorge Lopez RP | WAS

Brewers' Jorge Lopez: Recalled from minors

Lopez was recalled from Triple-A Colorado Springs on Saturday.

Lopez will take Alec Asher's spot on the roster and in the bullpen. The 25-year-old owns a 5.14 ERA and 5:4 K:BB through seven major-league innings this season, so he'll likely pitch in low-leverage situations during his time with the big club.

  • Troy Scribner RP | ARI

Diamondbacks' Troy Scribner: Takes loss in short outing

Scribner (0-1) took the loss Saturday agains the Nationals, allowing two runs on four hits and six walks across 3.2 innings. He struck out four.

It was a tough task facing Stephen Strasburg and the Nationals in his first start for the Diamondbacks, but Scribner did little to help himself in this one, tossing just 59 of his 98 pitches for strikes while recording just 11 outs before getting the hook. He loaded the bases up in the third and fourth inning but was able to limit the damage to two runs. Still, two runs was all the Nationals needed with Strasburg on the bump, saddling Scribner with the loss. He'll likely head back to Triple-A Reno while the Diamondbacks work with a four-man rotation for the time being thanks to a midweek off day, but he could rejoin the rotation for a road start against the Brewers later in the month.

  • Brock Stewart RP | LAD

Dodgers' Brock Stewart: Optioned to Triple-A

Stewart was optioned to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Saturday.

Stewart's third stint in the big leagues this year was just as brief as his first two. He's made three appearances for the Dodgers so far this season and was sent down soon after each one. Expect him to continue shuffling back and forth for much of the season. Pat Venditte will take his place in the bullpen.

  • Pat Venditte RP | LAD

Dodgers' Pat Venditte: Contract selected by Dodgers

Venditte was promoted to the majors Saturday.

The ambidextrous pitcher has allowed just three earned runs in 17.2 innings of relief for Triple-A Oklahoma City so far this season. He hasn't pitched in the majors since 2016. In 50.2 career big-league innings, he has a 4.97 ERA. In a corresponding move, Brock Stewart was sent down to Oklahoma City.

  • Brent Suter RP | ATL

Brewers' Brent Suter: Start bumped up to Saturday

Suter will start against the Rockies on Saturday after Chase Anderson was scratched due to illness.

Suter will be pitching on short rest, having thrown 4.2 innings of relief Tuesday. On the season, the southpaw has a 4.86 ERA in 37 innings, striking out just 17.3 percent of batters while walking a mere 4.9 percent.

  • Josh Hader RP | HOU

Brewers' Josh Hader: Notches sixth save

Hader struck out two over a perfect 10th inning and recorded his sixth save of the season in Friday's victory over the Rockies.

Friday's save was the first of the season for Hader in which he did not pitch more than one inning, but he still recorded multiple strikeouts for the 13th time in 14 appearances. Hader has not been the only reliever closing games for the Brewers -- and that should continue even with Corey Knebel presumably ready to close again -- but he should still see save opportunities here and there when the matchups dictate.

  • Justin Wilson RP | BOS

Cubs' Justin Wilson: Extends scoreless streak Friday

Wilson retired both batters he faced in Friday's win over the White Sox, extending his scoreless-inning streak to 4.1 and lowering his ERA to 3.86.

While 4.1 scoreless innings isn't overly impressive, it's a good sign for Wilson, who has mostly struggled since joining the Cubs last summer. Since a four-run implosion on April 12, the lefty has a 2.35 ERA with a 10.6 K/9. He remains the top left-handed option out of Chicago's bullpen.
