Mike Zagurski RP | MIL
Brewers' Mike Zagurski: Joins big-league club
Zagurski had his contract selected by the Brewers and was recalled from Triple-A Colorado Springs on Thursday.
Zagurski signed a minor-league contract with the Brewers in December and posted a 3.90 ERA and 1.33 WHIP with a 48:12 K:BB over 30 innings with the Sky Sox. The 35-year-old hasn't pitched in the majors since 2013, and has a career 7.05 ERA and 1.74 WHIP across 75.1 innings, covering parts of five major-league seasons. The veteran left-hander should serve a low-leverage role out of Milwaukee's bullpen, and seems likely to have a relatively short stay with the club.

Josh Fields RP | MIL
Dodgers' Josh Fields: Lands on disabled list
The Dodgers placed Fields on the 10-day disabled list Thursday with right shoulder inflammation, David Vassegh of AM 570 LA Sports reports.
Fields last pitched Tuesday against the Cubs and has thrown only 13 pitches over the last nine days. The severity of the issue remains unclear at this point, and the 32-year-old will be eligible to come off the shelf July 7.

Carl Edwards RP | DET
Cubs' Carl Edwards Jr.: Starts rehab assignment this weekend
Edwards (shoulder) is headed to Triple-A Iowa for a rehab assignment Thursday, Carrie Muskat of MLB.com reports.
Iowa has a travel day Thursday, so Edwards is likely to make his first rehab appearance over the weekend. The 26-year-old has been on the disabled list since late May and will likely require a handful of rehab appearances, but he could return at some point during the first week of July.

Kenley Jansen RP | DET
Dodgers' Kenley Jansen: Converts tidy four-out save
Jansen allowed a hit but converted a scoreless four-out save Wednesday against the Cubs.
The save was his 21st in 23 chances and pushed his ERA down to 2.37. It's just the fourth appearance of four outs or more for Jansen in 2018, three of which have been for saves. Even better for Jansen's owners, he only required 13 pitches to convert the save, so he should be available for Thursday's finale against the Cubs if necessary.

Seranthony Dominguez RP | SEA
Phillies' Seranthony Dominguez: Racks up fifth save Wednesday
Dominguez struck out three over two perfect innings Wednesday to record his fifth save of the season in a 3-0 win over the Yankees.
He bounced back in impressive fashion from his first blown save of the year in his last appearance Sunday, striking out multiple batters for the sixth time in his last eight games. Dominguez now sports a 2.10 ERA and 34:4 K:BB through 25.2 innings on the season, and with Edubray Ramos (shoulder) on the shelf, Dominguez appears to have little competition for the closer role at the moment.

Brent Suter RP | ATL
Brewers' Brent Suter: Fades late in Wednesday's loss
Suter (8-5) took the loss Wednesday as the Brewers fell 5-4 to the Royals, giving up four runs on six hits and a walk over six-plus innings while striking out six.
The left-hander was locked in a 1-0 pitcher's duel with Danny Duffy through six innings and in line for another victory, but after serving up a solo shot to Mike Moustakas to begin the seventh, Suter then loaded the bases without recording an out and had to watch two of the runners he left behind cross the plate. The result snaps his three-game winning streak, but Suter and his 4.28 ERA will look to rebound Monday at home against the Twins.

Raisel Iglesias RP | ATL
Reds' Raisel Iglesias: Notches 15th save Wednesday
Iglesias worked a perfect ninth inning Wednesday to record his 15th save of the season in a 6-5 win over the Braves.
While he didn't notch a strikeout, the Braves couldn't get a ball out of the infield off Iglesias. He's a perfect 6-for-6 on save chances in June, posting a 2.31 ERA and 10:4 K:BB through 11.2 innings on the month.

Jeff Hoffman RP | MIN
Rockies' Jeff Hoffman: Optioned to Triple-A
Hoffman was optioned to Triple-A Albuquerque on Wednesday, Nick Groke of The Athletic Denver reports.
Hoffman made five appearances for the Rockies after being called up June 8, but he was tagged for six earned runs over 5.1 innings -- to be fair, five earned runs came in one game -- so the team decided to send him down to open up room for returning relievers Mike Dunn and Scott Oberg. Hoffman figures to be back with the Rockies at some point this summer.

Zac Curtis RP | PHI
Phillies' Zac Curtis: Tosses two scoreless innings
Curtis threw a pair of scoreless innings in Tuesday's loss to the Yankees, hitting a batter and allowing a hit and a walk while striking out one.
Curtis' 2.16 ERA is the lowest of the three lefties in the Philadelphia bullpen, outpacing Austin Davis (2.70) and Adam Morgan (5.57). That low ERA has come in 8.1 innings, however, and it isn't supported by his underlying numbers. He has more walks (8) than strikeouts (7), with ERA estimators such as SIERA and xFIP putting his deserved ERA north of 6.00. It would be quite surprising to see him move into a more important role any time soon.

Matt Strahm RP | KC
Padres' Matt Strahm: Nabs win in relief
Strahm struck out two as part of a scoreless seventh inning Tuesday and was credited with his second win of the season in the Padres' 3-2 victory over the Rangers.
Strahm's previous appearance had come in long relief following the early departure of Jordan Lyles (forearm), which seemed to signal that Strahm would receive the starting nod the next time Lyles' turn in the rotation came up. However, Strahm's usage out of the bullpen Tuesday probably indicates the Padres intend to take advantage of off days Thursday and next Monday and deploy a four-man rotation until a fifth starter is next required July 7 in Arizona. If Lyles isn't cleared to return from the DL by that date, Strahm would likely be viewed as the top candidate to fill the opening in the rotation.
