Vizcaino (shoulder) threw a scoreless inning in each of Low-A Rome's playoff games over the past week.

For someone with control issues, Vizcaino logged a strike on 15 of the 20 pitches he threw. He also struck out two and didn't allow a single baserunner. Vizcaino seems to be rounding back into form, and given that all of the Braves' full-season affiliates' seasons have ended, it seems likely that the right-hander could return to the major-league bullpen fairly soon.

Jansen is flying to Cincinnati on Sunday to rejoin the Dodgers, Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times reports.

The Dodgers finish up their series at Colorado on Sunday, and Jansen will rejoin the team as expected Monday after doctors told him to avoid the trip due to his recent bout with an irregular heartbeat. The 30-year-old should step back into the closer's role for the Dodgers final few weeks of the regular season.

Wilson (4-4) took the loss and a blown save in Game 2 of Saturday's doubleheader against the Nationals, allowing a run on a hit and a walk while retiring two batters.

Wilson and Steve Cishek combined to make a mess of the bottom of the seventh. Cishek started the frame by allowing two hits and recording just one out. The Cubs then turned to Wilson to face Bryce Harper in a lefty-lefty matchup with a runner on second, and Harper proceeded to club a two-run home run that put Washington up 6-5. Despite the hiccup, Wilson still has a solid 2.98 ERA this season, and he should remain the top left-handed option in Chicago's bullpen.

Brigham will not make his scheduled start against the Pirates as Sunday's game was postponed due to weather, Bill Brink of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Rain has been pounding the area for the last two days and looked to continue Sunday, leading to the postponement. The Marlins have yet to announce how they plan to adjust their starting rotation in wake of the schedule change.

Minter allowed one earned run on two hits and a walk but earned his 13th save Saturday against the Diamondbacks.

Minter ran into trouble in the 10th inning by allowing two of the first three batters he faced to reach base. While his line was ugly, it could have been worse as the potential game-tying run was thrown out at home to end the game. Minter has been the primary closer for the Braves since early July, but he has allowed six earned runs across his last six innings, creating some doubt about his stability in the closer role.

Nelson (shoulder) is expected to pitch in an instructional league game before being shut down for the year, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

It's now been exactly a year since Nelson injured his shoulder, and it looks all but certain that he'll miss the entire 2018 season. The plan is for him to pitch in some simulated games in Arizona and then throw in the instructional league before finishing his season. He'll have the goal of making the Brewers' Opening Day rotation next season, though with an absence of this length, even that can't be fully guaranteed.

Hicks (3-4) allowed a game-winning two-run homer to Jeimer Candelario and one other hit over 1.1 innings in a loss to the Tigers on Friday. He struck out two.

Hicks is one of several candidates for the closer's role following Bud Norris' recent struggles, but he came up short in his own right Friday. The hard-throwing rookie cruised through the first four batters he faced over the eighth and ninth innings before allowing a single to Victor Reyes. Candelario then launched a 102 mph sinker -- the first pitch he saw -- 361 feet to left to send the Tigers home winners. The stumble snapped Hicks' four-appearance scoreless streak, although he was able to notch multiple strikeouts for the third time in his last five outings. Given his electric stuff, Hicks projects to continue seeing ninth-inning opportunities despite his struggles Friday.

Boxberger recorded the final two outs against the Braves on Friday to earn the save.

Andrew Chafin collected the first out of the ninth frame before Boxberger was called upon to take care of the final two outs in the 5-3 victory over the Braves. Despite a handful of shaky outings recently, Boxberger still appears to have a hold on the closer duties in Arizona. He has a 3.88 ERA to go along with 68 strikeouts in 48.2 innings this season.

Kennedy surrendered four runs on one hit and four walks while striking out two across 1.2 innings Friday against the Reds. He didn't factor into the decision.

Kennedy didn't appear to have his command, tossing just 20 of 44 pitches for strikes. He was coming off a stellar outing against the Rockies (six shutout innings), but he failed to build off the success he found last time out. Through six starts this year, Kennedy owns a 6.75 ERA and 1.80 WHIP with 18 strikeouts over 26.2 frames.

Mayers (shoulder) will have his minor-league rehab assignment pushed back to Saturday due to the stomach flu.

Mayers has been on the shelf since Aug. 26 with shoulder inflammation. He was slated to pitch Friday at Triple-A Memphis, but after coming down with a case of the stomach flu, he'll have to wait until Saturday. This is a minor setback for the 26-year-old, and he still could return to the big leagues in the near future if he feels good after pitching for the Redbirds.
