Pivetta (2-1) picked up the win in Tuesday's 14-3 rout of the Mets, allowing three runs on seven hits and three walks over five innings while striking out two.

The right-hander was far from sharp, throwing only 59 of 100 pitches for strikes and serving up two homers, but a 10-run first inning by the Phillies gave Pivetta all the cushion he could have wanted. Despite the winning record, he sports a rough 8.35 ERA through four starts and 18.1 innings, and Pivetta's numbers may not improve any time soon -- his next start comes Sunday in Coors Field.

Strop pitched a scoreless ninth inning in Tuesday's 4-0 win over the Marlins.

It wasn't a save situation for Strop, but he was able to log his fourth straight scoreless inning to lower his ERA to 3.60. The righty has just one save so far, as the 7-9 Cubs haven't worked with a ton of leads to protect. Strop should remain installed as the closer at least until Brandon Morrow (elbow) returns, likely sometime in May.

Robertson was diagnosed with a Grade 1 flexor strain in his right elbow Tuesday, Matt Breen of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.

Robertson landed on the 10-day injured list Monday with what was originally described as elbow soreness, but the injury was clarified via an MRI. The 34-year-old will be shut down from throwing for a few days before being re-evaluated by the Phillies.

Gott enters Tuesday's game against the Nationals with a 1.86 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 11:2 K:BB across 9.2 innings spanning seven relief appearances.

Acquired from the Nationals after being designated for assignment in February, Gott has proven to be a shrewd pickup for the Giants. Heading into 2019, Gott owned a mediocre 6.1 K/9 over 75.2 career big-league innings, but he's upped his strikeout rate in a big way thanks to an increased reliance on his four-seam fastball rather than any major velocity gains. Gott's 14.7 percent swinging-strike rate suggests the improvement he's shown thus far could be relatively sustainable.

Burdi will be held out of Tuesday's game against Detroit for rest purposes, Nubyjas Wilborn of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Burdi has pitched in three of his team's last five matchups, per Wilborn, so the Pirates have elected to give the reliever a rest Tuesday evening. Felipe Vazquez will also be unavailable, for the same reason.

Garcia was recalled from Triple-A New Orleans on Tuesday, Joe Frisaro of MLB.com reports.

Garcia has made three relief appearances for the Baby Cakes this year, allowing two runs while punching out five over 4.1 innings. He'll provide the Marlins with a fresh arm out of the bullpen.

Mayers has been moved to the 10-day injured list due to a right lat strain.

Mayers suffered the injury during Monday night's matchup with Milwaukee, and as expected, he'll require a stint on the shelf. In corresponding moves, Yairo Munoz, Giovanny Gallegos and Ryan Helsley have all been recalled, while Drew Robinson has been optioned to Triple-A Memphis and Tyler O'Neill (elbow) has also been placed on the 10-day IL.

Helsley was recalled from Triple-A Memphis on Tuesday.

Helsley has started a pair of games for Memphis this season, surrendering three runs while striking out five over seven innings. He's likely to make his big-league debut out of the bullpen, however.

Gallegos was recalled from Triple-A Memphis on Tuesday.

Gallegos spent just one day in the minors before surfacing with the big-league team once again. He'll bolster the Cardinals' bullpen after Mike Mayers (lat) was placed on the 10-day injured list.

Woods-Richardson gave up one hit and struck out five over three scoreless innings for Low-Columbia on Monday.

The Mets are keeping a careful eye on the 18-year-old's workload in his first full pro season, but Woods-Richardson has been overpowering when he's been on the mound, posting an 11:0 K:BB through his first 7.2 innings at Low-A. A second-round pick in 2018, his mid-90s fastball is more than enough to handle Sally League hitters, and despite his age he may not be challenged until an eventual promotion to High-A. Woods-Richardson is still likely a few years away from a big-league debut, but he appears poised to shoot up prospects lists in 2019.
