Voth allowed three runs on six hits with two walks and three strikeouts across 4.1 innings in a no-decision against the Tigers on Saturday.

The Nationals gave their spot starter a three-run lead in the fourth inning, but it was gone by the end of the fifth when Voth departed. He wasn't as sharp in this outing, and the Nationals have lost both of his starts, but Voth owns a 4.35 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 10 strikeouts in 10.1 innings across two major-league appearances. He probably pitched well enough to earn another start, and if so, Voth will pitch again Friday at home against the Royals.

Young will not start Wednesday's game versus the Dodgers, Zach Buchanan of The Athletic reports.

Manager Torey Lovullo previously said Young was being considered to start Wednesday's contest in Los Angeles, but the team will instead turn to Merrill Kelly. Young pitched well in his major-league debut Thursday with only one run allowed over five innings, but it's now unclear when he'll next take the mound.

Yamamoto allowed four runs on three hits with four walks and four strikeouts across four innings in a no-decision against the Phillies on Saturday.

The first three starts of his major-league career were outstanding, but Yamamoto came back down to earth Saturday. This was the second straight outing Yamamoto walked four hitters, and he also hit a batter. Two of those five baserunners came around to score. Yamamoto is still off to a great start in his career, though, as he is 3-0 with a 2.35 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 23 strikeouts in 23 innings. He will face a major test in Atlanta next Friday, however.

Jackson struck out two and walked one in a scoreless ninth inning Saturday to record his 13th save of the season in a 5-4 win over the Mets.

The right-hander converted his third consecutive save opportunity and worked around a leadoff error by usually reliable first baseman Freddie Freeman. After walking J.D. Davis, he rallied to retire the next three batters. The 27-year-old has allowed just one earned run in his last eight appearances and overall has a 2.85 ERA and 1.22 WHIP to go along with a 57:13 K:BB.

Brebbia was placed on the paternity list Saturday.

Brebbia has struggled in June with 12 runs allowed (10 earned) in 11 outings and will now have a few days away from the team to attend the birth of his child. The 29-year-old was having a fantastic season prior to this month with a 1.53 ERA, 0.95 WHIP and 35:10 K:BB across 29.1 innings.

Hartlieb was optioned to Triple-A Indianapolis on Saturday.

He spent a little over five weeks in the majors, giving up 18 runs in 20 innings. Jordan Lyles (hamstring) was activated from the injured list as a corresponding move.

Suter (elbow) could start facing hitters soon at the Brewers' spring training complex in Arizona, Tom Haudricourt of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

He is back with the team and will go to Cincinnati next week to have Dr. Timothy Kremchek analyze how his recovery from Tommy John surgery is going. If he is cleared, he will head to Arizona, but he still won't return to game action until 2020.

With Cole Hamels (oblique) landing on the 10-day injured list after Friday's start, Alzolay could stick in the rotation for the time being.

Alzolay had been working as a sixth pitcher to give other members of the Cubs' rotation some extra rest heading into the All-Star break, but with Kyle Hendricks (shoulder) and now Hamels on the shelf, Alzolay could stick in a more conventional fifth starter role for a while. Hendricks is expected back soon, but it's unclear how long Hamels might be out. The 24-year-old Alzolay has pitched well in his limited time in the majors, posting a 2.08 ERA and 0.92 WHIP with nine strikeouts in his first 8.2 innings. However, he's also walked six, so he'll need to exhibit better control to sustain his success. Alzolay is scheduled to make his second MLB start Monday against the Pirates.

Szapucki tossed four scoreless, no-hit innings for Low-A Columbia on Friday, walking one and striking out four.

While the performance itself was noteworthy, Szapucki also set new season highs by lasting four innings and 50 pitches. The Mets have been taking it very easy on the 23-year-old southpaw after he missed all of 2018 recovering from Tommy John surgery, but given his age plus a 2.08 ERA and 26:10 K:BB through 21.2 innings for Columbia, he seems ready to face stiffer competition.

Manager Torey Lovullo is considering Young to start against the Dodgers in Los Angeles next Wednesday, Nick Piecoro of the Arizona Republic reports.

Young made an impressive debut Thursday and earned a second start. Arizona has a two-game set in Los Angeles on Tuesday and Wednesday, a series bookended by off days Monday and Thursday. As such, Lovullo can tinker with the rotation, but it sounds like he wants to keep the order intact. "Just thinking out loud, I don't think I would really be in favor of mixing and matching things up so we could avoid something," Lovullo said. "That's kind of my thought right now. We'll sit down as a staff and figure out what the best options are moving forward. As it stands right now, (Taylor) Clarke and Young is the (way it lines up) and we'll keep it that way until something pops up." Things could change, but fantasy owners can anticipate Young making a second start next week.
