Rodriguez will start Sunday's game against the Dodgers.

As expected, Rodriguez will start what figures to be a bullpen game for the Giants. He has a 4.24 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 18 strikeouts in 17 innings across five appearances this month.

Diaz earned the save Saturday against the Braves by recording two strikeouts and not allowing a baserunner during the ninth inning.

Diaz had a stretch of 15 appearances without a save as Seth Lugo took over as the primary closer -- though he blew two save chances in that stretch -- but Diaz perhaps ended the season on a positive note after needing only 10 pitches Saturday. The 25-year-old has pitched two of the past three days and may have made his last outing of the season. Diaz's first season in New York has not gone according to plan with a 5.59 ERA and 1.38 WHIP while he's converted 26 of 33 save opportunities.

Jansen allowed one hit but struck out the side during the ninth to earn his 33rd save of the season in a 2-0 victory against the Giants.

The 31-year-old wasn't as dominant as usual this year, which is really indicated across all of his numbers, but he did post at least 33 saves for the sixth straight season. Barring an appearance in the season finale, Jansen will finish 2019 with a 5-3 record, 33 saves, eight blown opportunities, 3.71 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 80 strikeouts in 63 innings.

Kimbrel was shut down and won't pitch in Sunday's season finale at St. Louis, Mark Gonzales of the Chicago Tribune reports.

The 31-year-old was also unavailable Saturday, but that news wasn't officially revealed until the ninth inning of the television broadcast as Brandon Kintzler entered -- and converted -- the save opportunity. Kimbrel signed a three-year deal with the Cubs in June, but he struggled during his first season in the Windy City with a 6.53 ERA, 1.60 WHIP, 30:12 K:BB and career-high nine home runs allowed in only 20.2 innings.

Ginkel allowed only one hit in one inning pitched to earn his second save of the year in Saturday's 6-5 win over the Padres.

Ginkel was called upon since regular closer Archie Bradley had appeared three times over the last four games. Ginkel didn't disappoint, retiring the first two batters he faced before a Francisco Mejia double. He then got Wil Myers to fly out to end the threat. Ginkel has two saves and nine holds with a 1.48 ERA and 0.99 WHIP in 25 appearances this year.

Hader allowed two hits and a run while striking out two in one inning in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Rockies.

Hader didn't have any trouble getting his first two outs, but pinch hitter Sam Hilliard took him deep for the game-tying run. It's Hader's seventh blown save of the year. He's converted 37 saves, including twelve in a row before Saturday's hiccup. The flame-throwing southpaw owns a 2.62 ERA and 0.81 WHIP with 138 strikeouts in 75.2 innings.

Gsellman (triceps) won't return from the injured list this weekend and is done for the season, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Gsellman was scheduled for a live batting practice session Thursday to potentially set him up for one final appearance, but it was rained out and he'll instead continue his rehab work. The 26-year-old ends 2019 with a 4.66 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 60:23 K:BB across 63.2 innings.

De Los Santos was recalled by the Phillies on Saturday, Meghan Montemurro of The Athletic reports.

De Los Santos will give the Phillies an extra arm out of the bullpen for the final two games of the season. He failed to impress in 11 big-league innings earlier this season, posting a 7.36 ERA and a 1.64 WHIP.

Manager Bruce Bochy mentioned Rodriguez as the likely starter in a bullpen game Sunday, Alex Pavlovic of NBC Sports Bay Area reports.

Madison Bumgarner had been lined up to start Sunday in the final game of Bochy's career, but Bochy announced late Friday that Bumgarner would not start again. "The game is not going to determine anything," the skipper said. "He's got a lot of baseball left and I'd like to take care of him." That opens the door for Rodriguez to step in for one more turn after he lost his rotation spot earlier this month. Expect Rodriguez to throw two or three innings before handing it over to the bullpen.

Scott (1-0) allowed one hit in a scoreless eighth inning, striking out one and earning the win versus the Padres on Friday.

Scott entered with the Diamondbacks trailing 3-2, but he kept a clean performance and the offense rallied for four runs to earn the 30-year-old a win. Scott has allowed two runs in 3.2 innings over eight appearances in September. Overall, he's posted a 4.91 ERA in 7.1 innings this season at the major-league level.
