  • Geoff Hartlieb RP | ATH

Mets' Geoff Hartlieb: Back in majors

Hartlieb was recalled from Triple-A Syracuse on Friday.

Hartlieb was sent down Monday, but he'll provide an additional arm out of the Mets' bullpen after right-hander Jake Reed (forearm) was placed on the 10-day injured list Friday. The 27-year-old has made three relief appearances with the Mets this year, and he's allowed seven runs on seven hits and six walks while striking out five in 4.1 innings.

  • Evan Phillips RP | LAD

Dodgers' Evan Phillips: Lands on injured list

Phillips was placed on the 10-day injured list with a right quadriceps strain Friday, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Phillips made his Dodgers debut Thursday and allowed a run on three hits and no walks while striking out one in 2.1 innings to earn the win over the Mets. However, he apparently suffered a quad injury that will prompt a trip to the injured list. It's not yet clear when the right-hander will be able to return.

  • Jose Alvarado RP | PHI

Phillies' Jose Alvarado: Throws bullpen Friday

Alvarado (shoulder) threw a bullpen session Friday, Daniel Guerrero of MLB.com reports.

Alvarado has been dealing with a left shoulder impingement for a week and a half, but he felt good after Friday's bullpen session. The southpaw will throw another bullpen Sunday and will be re-evaluated afterward.

  • Yennsy Diaz RP | NYM

Mets' Yennsy Diaz: Recalled by Mets

Diaz was recalled from Triple-A Syracuse on Friday, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

The right-hander was sent down Wednesday, but he'll return to the major-league roster after Jake Reed (forearm) was placed on the 10-day injured list Friday. Diaz has made six relief appearances in the majors since Aug. 1, and he's recorded a 5.40 ERA and 1.35 WHIP in 6.2 innings during that span.

  • Jake Reed RP | LAD

Mets' Jake Reed: Placed on 10-day injured list

Reed was placed on the 10-day injured list Friday with right forearm inflammation, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.

Reed was back in the Mets' bullpen for nearly a week, and he allowed two hits and no walks while striking out five in four scoreless innings. Whether he'll be forced to miss more than the minimum of 10 days remains to be seen, but right-hander Yennsy Diaz will take his place in the major-league bullpen.

  • Drew Pomeranz RP | CHC

Padres' Drew Pomeranz: Transferred to 60-day IL

Pomeranz (forearm) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Friday.

Pomeranz has been ruled out for the season after he underwent surgery to repair a torn flexor tendon last week, so his move to the 60-day IL is simply procedural. The transaction makes room for Jurickson Profar, who was reinstated from the COVID-19 injured list Friday.

  • Mets' Jordan Yamamoto: Begins rehab assignment

Yamamoto (shoulder) began a rehab assignment with the Mets' rookie-level Florida Complex League affiliate Friday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.

Yamamoto has been on the injured list since late May due to a sore right shoulder, but he resumed mound work in mid-July. The righty tossed a scoreless inning during his first rehab appearance and will likely require several appearances in the minors before he's ready to rejoin the major-league club. However, Yamamoto should be available as a starting option for the Mets if they need one in September.

  • Peter Lambert SP | HOU

Rockies' Peter Lambert: Feels good after rehab start

Lambert (elbow) felt good following Wednesday's rehab start, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Lambert is working his way back from Tommy John surgery, a procedure he underwent in July of 2020. It looks as though he'll have time to return before the end of the season, though he won't have time to make more than a small handful of starts.

  • Sean Nolin RP | MIA

Nationals' Sean Nolin: Set to start Sunday

Nolin will start Sunday's game against the Brewers, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports.

Nolin took the loss in the first game of an Aug. 12 doubleheader against the Mets, allowing four runs on eight hits across three innings. Despite the underwhelming outing, the left-hander will get another opportunity to earn his second career big-league win Sunday. Manager Dave Martinez wouldn't commit to Nolin taking Joe Ross' (elbow) rotation spot permanently, but that figures to be a possibility.

  • Phillies' Mauricio Llovera: Designated for assignment

Llovera was designated for assignment by the Phillies on Friday.

Llovera has allowed seven earned runs on 10 hits (five home runs) and four walks across 6.2 innings this season, so Friday's move comes as little surprise. He'll be placed on waivers, but it's very possible he goes unclaimed given his underwhelming season to this point.
