Trevor May RP | ATH
Mets' Trevor May: Slated to undergo scan
May (triceps) is scheduled to undergo a scan Tuesday, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
May sustained a stress reaction in the lower portion of his humerus in early May and has been shut down for nearly four weeks, but he said Monday that he feels great. As long as he checks out fine following Tuesday's scans, the right-hander should ramp up his rehab process soon.

Drew Smith RP | WAS
Mets' Drew Smith: Hopes to return soon
Smith (finger) said Monday that he hopes to be available as early as Tuesday against the Nationals, Tim Healey of Newsday reports.
Smith sustained a dislocated right pinky finger during Sunday's win over the Phillies, but he checked out fine after undergoing X-rays and a CT scan. Even if the right-hander ultimately isn't cleared to return Tuesday, it seems likely that he'll avoid a trip to the injured list.

Luis Garcia RP | MIN
Padres' Luis Garcia: Picks up win Sunday
Garcia (4-2) earned the win over Pittsburgh on Sunday with a scoreless inning that included one strikeout.
Garcia was tasked with handling the top of the 10th inning for San Diego, and he kept the Pirates off the scoreboard with the help of an errant pitch that fortuitously resulted in Hoy Park being tagged out at home plate. The right-hander was credited with the win when Trent Grisham blasted a walkoff homer in the bottom of the frame. Garcia has been effective out of the bullpen for the Padres this season, posting a 2.95 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 18:6 K:BB across 18.1 innings. In addition to his four wins, he has notched nine holds.

Peter Strzelecki RP | NYY
Brewers' Peter Strzelecki: Contract selected by Brewers
Strzelecki had his contract selected by the Brewers on Monday.
Strzelecki will join the Brewers after pitching 16.1 innings with Triple-A Nashville this season, producing a 3.86 ERA and 1.22 WHIP with 26 strikeouts in 14 appearances. The move was made in correspondence with Brandon Woodruff (ankle) being placed on the 15-day IL and 27-year-old will have a chance to make his major-league debut.

Packy Naughton RP | STL
Cardinals' Packy Naughton: Officially starting Monday
Naughton was called up from Triple-A Memphis and will start Monday's contest versus the Padres, John Denton of MLB.com reports.
Naughton will return to the major-leagues to make his second start of the season and seventh appearance overall. He has produced a 2.89 ERA and 1.18 WHIP with eight strikeouts over 9.1 innings with the Cardinals in 2022. With Steven Matz (shoulder) potentially returning soon, Naughton may just make one start before returning to Triple-A, but time will tell.

Ethan Roberts RP | CHC
Cubs' Ethan Roberts: Shifted to 60-day IL
Roberts (shoulder) was moved to the 60-day injured list Monday, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Roberts recently began a throwing program May 14, but he will now have to wait until late June to return from the shoulder injury. The move to the 60-day IL frees up a spot on the 40-man roster for Matt Swarmer, whose contract was selected Monday.

Edwin Diaz RP | LAD
Mets' Edwin Diaz: Picks up second win
Diaz (2-1) earned the win during Sunday's 2-1 victory against the Phillies, allowing a walk while striking out one in a scoreless 10th inning.
Diaz was brought in for the 10th after New York tied the game in the ninth and got three outs while intentionally walking Bryce Harper. He became the victor for the first time since April 22 when the Mets won on a walk-off in the bottom of the 10th. It was encouraging to see the 28-year-old succeed in a non-save situation, as Diaz had blown two of his last four save chances. He now owns a 2.61 ERA and 1.26 WHIP through 20.2 innings.

Camilo Doval RP | NYY
Giants' Camilo Doval: Shaky in non-save situation
Doval allowed two runs on two hits and struck out one in one inning during Sunday's 6-4 win over the Reds.
Doval entered the game with a four-run lead in the ninth inning. He gave up a two-run home run to Albert Almora before finishing off the appearance. Doval hasn't converted a save since May 17, pitching just three times since then and allowing four runs (three earned). The right-hander owns a 3.44 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 23:9 K:BB across 18.1 innings. He's logged seven saves and an 0-2 record while serving as one of the Giants' top closing options.

John Brebbia RP | COL
Giants' John Brebbia: Grabs third win
Brebbia (3-0) allowed one hit in a scoreless inning to earn the win Sunday versus the Reds.
Brebbia pitched the seventh inning and the Giants pulled ahead with a six-run rally in the top of the eighth. All three of Brebbia's wins have come in his last seven outings. The right-hander has allowed three runs (two earned) in 6.1 innings during that span. He has a 2.49 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 21:5 K:BB while adding three holds in 21 appearances spanning 21.2 innings.

Hernandez (2-5) allowed four runs on seven hits over four innings, striking out three and taking a loss against Atlanta on Sunday.
Hernandez coughed up three solo homers in the loss, including a pair from Marcell Ozuna. He made a scoreless appearance out of the bullpen against the Rays on May 25, but he's now lost four straight starts. His ERA bumped up to 5.77 with a 40:13 K:BB through 43.2 frames. Hernandez is currently lined up to face the Giants at home next week.
