  • Jose Ferrer RP | WAS

Nationals' Jose Ferrer: Hangs on for 11th save

Ferrer earned the save in Saturday's 6-5 win over the White Sox, allowing a run on three hits while striking out three in the ninth inning.

While Ferrer managed to hang on for his 11th save, it certainly didn't come easy for the left-hander -- Ferrer's now given up at least one run in five of his last six appearances, allowing eight earned runs on 14 hits across seven innings in that span. Overall, the 25-year-old Ferrer sports a 4.48 ERA with a 1.27 WHIP and 71 strikeouts over 76.1 innings this season.

  • Will Klein RP | LAD

Dodgers' Will Klein: Dispatched to ACL

The Dodgers optioned Klein to the Arizona Complex League on Saturday.

Klein pitched 4.2 shutout innings after being recalled from Triple-A on Sept. 19, but he'll lose his place in Los Angeles' bullpen to make room for the newly promoted Andrew Heaney. Klein has turned in a 2.35 ERA over 15.1 innings for the Dodgers this season, making him a candidate to contribute at some point during the team's postseason run.

  • Jordan Wicks RP | CHC

Cubs' Jordan Wicks: Back with MLB club

The Cubs recalled Wicks from the Arizona Complex League on Saturday.

Wicks will step onto the active roster in place of Cade Horton (rib), who was placed on the injured list. Wicks has a 7.94 ERA in 11.1 innings of relief with Chicago, and he posted a 3.67 ERA in 76 innings for Triple-A Iowa.

  • Joel Peguero RP | SF

Giants' Joel Peguero: Earns third hold of 2025

Peguero picked up a hold in Friday's 6-3 victory over the Rockies, allowing one hit while striking out one across a scoreless inning.

Peguero entered the game in the eighth and gave up just one single, throwing eight of his 14 pitches for strikes. The right-hander has logged three consecutive scoreless outings, surrendering one hit while striking out four across three innings during that span. Overall, he owns a 2.53 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 17:7 K:BB across 21.1 innings in 16 games this season.

  • Tanner Scott RP | LAD

Dodgers' Tanner Scott: Notches 23rd save

Scott gave up a hit and a walk in a scoreless ninth inning Friday to record his 23rd save of the season in a 3-2 win over the Mariners. He struck out two.

The left-hander has looked a little more stable over the last couple weeks, giving up runs in only one of his last seven appearances. Scott has still blown three of seven save chances since returning from elbow inflammation in late August, however, stumbling to a 7.15 ERA, 1.68 WHIP and 10:7 K:BB in 11.1 innings over that span. The Dodgers have plenty of other high-leverage relief options if those struggles resurface in the playoffs, including Roki Sasaki, who struck out two in a scoreless seventh inning Friday to collect his second hold and topped out at 100.1 mph with his fastball.

  • Emilio Pagan RP | CIN

Reds' Emilio Pagan: Locks down 31st save

Pagan struck out one in a perfect ninth inning Friday to record his 31st save of the season in a 3-1 win over the Brewers.

The veteran reliever helped get the Reds one step closer to the playoffs, firing seven of 12 pitches for strikes and getting two infield pop-ups after fanning William Contreras. Since his last blown save Sept. 1, Pagan has delivered a 0.82 ERA, 0.73 WHIP and 14:2 K:BB over 11 innings while converting five straight save chances.

  • Mason Miller RP | SD

Padres' Mason Miller: Collects four-out save

Miller walked one and struck out three over 1.1 hitless and scoreless innings to earn the save in Friday's 7-4 win over the Diamondbacks.

Miller was brought in when Kyle Hart and David Morgan made a mess of the eighth inning, and he was able to get the last out. Miller was already the fifth reliever into the game for the Padres, and they kept him in to finish off the save rather than having Robert Suarez enter the contest. This was Miller's 22nd save of the season but just his second since joining the Padres at the trade deadline. He's pitched to a 0.81 ERA over 22.1 innings while racking up a 42:10 K:BB and 10 holds during his time in San Diego, giving the team an excellent one-two punch at the back end of the bullpen.

  • Ryan Walker RP | SF

Giants' Ryan Walker: Clean inning for save

Walker struck out two in a perfect inning to earn the save in Friday's 6-3 win over the Rockies.

Walker has had some missteps in September, allowing six runs over 7.2 innings while converting five of seven save chances. He caused no drama Friday, retiring the side on a tidy 14 pitches (nine strikes). Walker is up to 17 saves this season while adding a 3.98 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 60:17 K:BB through 61 innings.

  • Brock Stewart RP | LAD

Dodgers' Brock Stewart: Expected to miss Opening Day

General manager Brandon Gomes said Friday that Stewart will undergo a debridement procedure in his right shoulder and is expected to return in time to pitch the majority of the 2026 campaign, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Stewart made just four appearances for Los Angeles after being acquired at the trade deadline, giving up two earned runs over 3.2 innings, and his upcoming surgery will prevent him from pitching in the postseason. The general manager's comments suggest that the 33-year-old won't be ready for the start of next season, but a first-half return is still seemingly on the table.

  • Tyler Phillips RP | MIA

Marlins' Tyler Phillips: Notches four-out save

Phillips secured the save Friday against the Mets, throwing 1.1 clean innings.

Phillips recorded the final out of the eighth inning to strand the bases loaded, and he ultimately came away his fourth save of the season. The right-hander has been an effective bullpen arm this year, and he'll close out the season in a committee at closer with Calvin Faucher and Lake Bachar. Through 76.2 innings, Phillips has a 2.82 ERA, 1.15 WHIP and 52:23 K:BB.
