Yunior Marte RP | CIN
Phillies' Yunior Marte: Shipped to Philadelphia
The Phillies acquired Marte from the Giants on Monday in exchange for left-hander Erik Miller.
Marte reached the majors for the first time in 2022 as a 27-year-old, logging a 5.44 ERA and 1.44 WHIP while striking out 44 over 48 innings. With the Giants bringing aboard Luke Jackson (elbow) on a two-year deal Monday, Marte would have been a candidate to lose his spot on the 40-man roster, so San Francisco made the decision to trade him away to get a younger asset in Miller in return. Marte will likely factor into the middle-relief picture for Philadelphia in 2023.

Tayler Scott RP | ATL
Dodgers' Tayler Scott: Inks MiLB deal
Scott signed a minor-league contract with the Dodgers on Saturday.
The deal likely includes an invitation to major-league spring training as a non-roster invitee. Scott spent most of 2022 in the Padres organization at Triple-A El Paso and had a 3.76 ERA across 40.2 innings, though he also made eight appearances in the big leagues and allowed nine earned runs in 12 frames.

Gregory Soto RP | PIT
Phillies' Gregory Soto: Bound for Philadelphia
Soto and Kody Clemens were traded from the Tigers to the Phillies on Saturday in exchange for Nick Maton, Matt Vierling and Donny Sands, Jon Morosi of MLB Network reports.
Soto saved 30 games for the Tigers last season, but he's unlikely to get anywhere close to that figure in a more crowded bullpen in Philadelphia. His underlying numbers didn't support his 3.28 ERA and didn't paint him as closer material, with his 4.21 SIERA coming in nearly a run higher. His 22.8 percent strikeout rate was merely average, while his 12.9 percent walk rate was worryingly high. He's likely to be merely one of a handful of late-inning options in Philadelphia this season, with his number of save chances likely to be determined in some part by whether or not his control takes a step forward.

Brent Honeywell RP | LAD
Padres' Brent Honeywell: Signs with Friars
Honeywell signed a one-year deal with the Padres on Friday, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.
Honeywell spent all of last season in the Athletics' farm system, posting a 7.79 ERA and 2.05 WHIP with Triple-A Las Vegas while also rehabbing an elbow injury. When healthy, Honeywell has shown an ability to strike batters out at a high rate, which will help him compete for a spot on the Padres' big-league pitching staff.

Nick Mears RP | KC
Rockies' Nick Mears: Claimed by Rockies
The Rockies claimed Mears off waivers from Texas on Friday.
After spending just four days with the Rangers organization, Mears is on the move for the second time this offseason. The 26-year-old reliever recorded a 4.80 ERA and 1.40 WHIP in the minors last season, though he was able to throw two scoreless frames in the majors at the very end of the year. The Rockies are starving for depth in their bullpen, so it's very possible Mears begins the 2023 season in the majors.

Jake Reed RP | LAD
Dodgers' Jake Reed: Outrighted to Triple-A
Reed cleared waivers and was outrighted to Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday, Eric Stephen of SBNation.com reports.
He was recently designated for assignment by the Dodgers to make room for J.D. Martinez on the 40-man roster. Reed has since cleared waivers and will now head accept an assignment to Triple-A. Reed threw 16.2 innings in the majors last season and posted a 7.02 ERA and 1.50 WHIP.

Edwin Uceta RP | TB
Diamondbacks' Edwin Uceta: Designated for assignment
Uceta was designated for assignment by the Diamondbacks on Thursday, Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports.
Uceta split time between the Triple-A and major-league clubs last year and posted a 5.82 ERA and 1.24 WHIP in 17 innings over 10 relief appearances with the Diamondbacks. However, he'll lose his spot on the team's 40-man roster after Arizona signed Evan Longoria to a one-year contract.

Trevor Kelley RP | SEA
Brewers' Trevor Kelley: Booted off 40-man roster
The Brewers designated Kelley for assignment Wednesday.
Kelley ceded his spot on the 40-man roster to right-hander Bryse Wilson, whom the Brewers acquired from the Pirates via trade Wednesday. While moving back and forth between Triple-A Nashville and the majors in 2022, Kelley didn't provide the Brewers with much evidence that he was deserving of a long-term stay in the big-league bullpen. Over 23.2 innings with Milwaukee, Kelley logged a 6.08 ERA and 1.44 WHIP.

Bryse Wilson RP | PHI
Brewers' Bryse Wilson: Shipped to Milwaukee
The Brewers acquired Wilson from the Pirates on Wednesday in exchange for cash considerations.
Despite having a fairly clear path to a full-time rotation spot last season for a Pirates squad lacking in established starting options, Wilson did little to make a case that he belonged in the rebuilding organization's long-term plans. In 25 outings (20 starts) overall with the big club in 2022, Wilson produced a 5.52 ERA and 1.42 WHIP while striking out just 15.5 percent of the batters he faced. He showed some improvement over the final two months of the campaign, however, and he did some of his best work against the Brewers, which may have influenced Milwaukee's decision to go out and acquire him after Pittsburgh designated him for assignment last week. Over his four outings against Milwaukee last season spanning 18.1 innings, Wilson generated a 3.93 ERA and 1.31 WHIP.

Francisco Perez RP | ATH
Nationals' Francisco Perez: Back with Nats on MiLB pact
Perez agreed Wednesday with the Nationals on a minor-league contract that includes an invitation to big-league spring training, Mark Zuckerman of MASNSports.com reports.
Perez elected free agency after being outrighted off the Nationals' 40-man roster in November, but upon exploring his options on the open market, he ultimately decided to return to the Washington organization. He'll get a chance to vie for a spot in Washington's Opening Day bullpen, but he's more realistically ticketed for Triple-A Rochester. He spent the majority of the 2022 campaign at Rochester, submitting a 4.82 ERA and 1.43 WHIP while punching out 61 batters over 46.2 innings.
