Naile was returned to Triple-A Memphis on Sunday after serving as the 27th man for Saturday's doubleheader.

Naile ultimately didn't pitch Saturday, instead serving as bullpen depth had the Cardinals needed it. He has an 11.74 ERA and 3.26 WHIP over 7.2 innings in the majors this year, and he's added a 2.66 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 44:13 K:BB across 40.2 innings with Memphis.

Harvey felt soreness in his right forearm and triceps Saturday, but X-rays came back negative, Jesse Dougherty of The Washington Post reports.

Initial tests didn't reveal anything concerning, but Dougherty suggests the Nationals will be "super, super careful" with Harvey given his extensive injury history. Harvey has emerged as the preferred endgamer for manager Davey Martinez in recent weeks. The skipper may have to turn back to Kyle Finnegan in the ninth until Harvey shows he's fully past this latest issue.

Suarez (elbow) shifted his rehab assignment to Triple-A El Paso on Saturday and allowed one run on one hit and one walk while failing to strike out a batter in his lone inning of work.

Suarez, who has been on the shelf all season while recovering from an elbow injury, was making his fifth rehab appearance overall but his first at El Paso after prior stints in the rookie-level Arizona Complex League and with Single-A Lake Elsinore. According to 97.3 The Fan San Diego, Padres manager Bob Melvin said Sunday that Suarez checked out "OK" following the rehab outing at El Paso, but the skipper noted that the reliever will "probably" require one more appearance in the minors before being activated from the 60-day injured list. Once he's reinstated, Suarez will likely settle in as a key setup man in front of closer Josh Hader.

Hoeing gave up two earned runs on two hits while striking out one over 1.2 innings out of the bullpen in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Orioles.

After making his final four appearances before the All-Star break as a starter, Hoeing looks like he'll settle back into a relief role to open the Marlins' second-half schedule. The Marlins have three off days coming up over the next two weeks and are also likely to get Edward Cabrera (shoulder) back from the injured list at some point during the stretch, lessening the need for Miami to keep Hoeing in the fold as its No. 5 starter.

Rogers (5-3) allowed a hit and a walk while striking out one over a scoreless inning to earn the win Saturday over the Pirates.

Rogers became the pitcher of record when the Giants took the lead in the top of the eighth inning. This was a good bounce-back for the left-hander to begin the second half after he allowed two runs in his last outing before the All-Star break. He's mostly been a reliable option for the Giants with a 3.19 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and 39:16 K:BB with a save and four holds over 31 innings.

Weathers was optioned to Triple-A El Paso following the second game of Saturday's doubleheader.

Weathers was designated as the 27th man for Saturday's twin bill, so this was always the expectation. The lefty struggled against the Phillies in the nightcap, allowing four runs on six hits -- including two home runs -- over 4.2 innings to take the loss. Overall he has a 6.25 ERA and 1.61 WHIP over 44.2 innings in the majors this season. Despite those struggles, he could get additional spot starts down stretch.

Morejon (knee) was placed on the 15-day injured list Sunday.

The left-hander reportedly suffered a right knee strain in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader. Morejon will undergo imaging to determine the full extent of the injury. Right-hander Matt Waldron was recalled to take Morejon's place on the active roster.

Doval gave up a hit in a scoreless ninth inning Saturday to record his 28th save of the season in a 3-1 win over the Pirates.

The 28-year-old converted his 10th straight save chance and second in as many days coming out of the All-Star break, establishing a new career high in the process after he collected 27 saves in his breakout 2022 campaign. Doval continues to lead the majors in that category, sitting two saves clear of Alexis Diaz and Jordan Romano while posting a 2.51 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 57:17 K:BB through 43 innings.

Morejon strained his right knee in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Phillies and will be sent for imaging, Sammy Levitt of 97.3 The Fan reports.

Morejon struggled during his time in the game, allowing two runs on three hits while recording his only out via strikeout. The lefty reliever opened the season on the 60-day IL due to an elbow injury and has seen action in eight contests since returning to San Diego on June 21, posting a 7.00 ERA, 2.11 WHIP and 8:5 K:BB over nine innings.

Kimbrel recorded his 15th save of the season in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader sweep of the Padres, walking two and striking out one in a scoreless ninth inning.

The right-hander made things very interesting and fired only nine of 19 pitches for strikes, but Kimbrel escaped the jam he created when he got Manny Machado to fly out to shallow right field, and Bryson Stott managed to hold onto the ball after a collision with Nick Castellanos. Kimbrel hasn't been scored upon in 14 straight appearances dating back to June 8, posting a 21:3 K:BB through 14 innings over that stretch and converting all six of his save chances, so Saturday's wobble doesn't seem to be cause for concern.
