The White Sox claimed Hudson off waivers from the Brewers and optioned him to Triple-A Charlotte on Sunday.

Hudson was a key bullpen piece in 2024 with a 1.73 ERA, 0.72 WHIP and 62:17 K:BB across 62.1 innings, but he had a 4.35 ERA in 12 big-league appearances and struggled to a 6.84 ERA at the Triple-A level so far in 2025.

The Royals placed Cruz on the 15-day injured list Sunday due to a right shoulder impingement.

Cruz departed Saturday's game against the Blue Jays due to the injury and will be sidelined for at least the next couple of weeks. Daniel Lynch (elbow) was reinstated from the IL in a corresponding move to round out Kansas City's bullpen.

He's been effective through 39 appearances with a 2.59 ERA, though his 1.42 WHIP and 29:22 K:BB could indicate some trouble on the horizon.

The Yankees placed Loaisiga on the 15-day injured list Sunday due to right mid-back tightness.

The injury presumably surfaced during Loaisiga's appearance against Miami on Friday, when he allowed one hit and plunked a batter while recording just one out. The right-hander will be eligible to be reinstated in mid-August, though a timeline for his return likely won't be established until he meets with the Yankees' team physician back in New York, according to Bryan Hoch of MLB.com.

The Astros optioned Contreras to Triple-A Sugar Land on Sunday.

Contreras was sent out to make room in the bullpen for John Rooney, who was acquired from Miami. During his week-long stay with the Astros, Contreras appeared in two contests and struck out three batters over three scoreless innings.

Leasure didn't strike out a batter in a perfect ninth inning to earn the save in Saturday's 1-0 win against the Angels.

Aaron Civale and Brandon Eisert combined to allow just one hit through eight innings, and Leasure finished things off by retiring the side in the ninth on just nine pitches. The White Sox haven't had a consistent closer this season, with Leasure and Grant Taylor tied for the team lead with three apiece. Taylor offers more upside and a classic closer arsenal, but the White Sox seem uncertain whether they want to develop the top prospect exclusively as a high-leverage reliever.

Vest worked the eighth inning of Saturday's 7-5 win over the Phillies and allowed two runs on three hits while retiring two batters via strikeout.

After seven strong innings from starter Tarik Skubal, Vest worked the eighth inning with the Tigers up 7-3. He came on to face the top of Philadelphia's order in Trea Turner, Kyle Schwarber and Bryce Harper, and Harper tagged him for a two-run home run. After Vest departed, the newly acquired Kyle Finnegan came on to record the final four outs and earn his first save with his new team. Detroit manager A.J. Hinch may mix and match with his revamped bullpen, and if Vest is used more frequently in high-leverage spots before the ninth inning, his fantasy value could take a hit due to a decrease in save opportunities.

Ginn (2-3) allowed four runs on four hits and five walks while striking out two over 4.1 innings to take the loss Saturday versus the Diamondbacks.

The right-hander took a major step back after having allowing just one run over his previous 11 innings. The five walks were a season high as well. Ginn was able to stretch out to 85 pitches (45 strikes) Saturday, and he should have a good chance of staying in the rotation following the Athletics' deadline deal that sent JP Sears to the Padres. Ginn has posted a 4.28 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 49:15 K:BB through 48.1 innings across 14 appearances (seven starts) this season. He's tentatively projected for a road start versus the Orioles next week.

Chapman earned a save against the Astros on Saturday, retiring both batters he faced (including one by strikeout) in the ninth inning.

Boston entered the ninth inning with a 7-3 lead and gave the ball to Jorge Alcala, who allowed two batters to reach base and got only one out. Chapman was then summoned in a save situation and struck out Cam Smith before retiring Mauricio Dubon on a groundout to end the game. The veteran closer continued what has been a dominant campaign -- he's allowed just six earned runs over 43.2 frames while posting a 64:13 K:BB. Chapman's ability to avoid walks has been a big part of his success, as his 2.7 BB/9 is on pace to be the lowest of his career. The left-hander's save Saturday was his 20th of the campaign, marking the 10th time he's reached that mark in his career but the first such instance since 2021.

Speier threw a clean eighth inning with no strikeouts in Saturday's 6-4 extra-innings loss to Texas.

Speier ran his streak of scoreless outings up to eight, and he's yielded just one earned run overall in his last 15 appearances. The 30-year-old left-hander remains a crucial part of Seattle's high-leverage picture, working to a pristine 0.69 ERA, 0.62 WHIP and 15:3 K:BB over his last 13 innings.
