Chih-Wei Hu RP | TB
Rays' Chih-Wei Hu: Optioned to Triple-A
Hu was optioned to Triple-A Durham after Tuesday's game against the Rangers.
After starter Matt Andriese left early with a groin injury, Hu came on in the second inning and logged 2.1 scoreless frames while walking two and striking out three. He would have been unavailable out of the bullpen for a couple days after this outing, so it made sense for the Rays to opt for reinforcements. Hu seems to be being developed as a reliever, at least in the short term, even though he has had success in the minors as a starter. Only three of his 12 appearances across Triple-A and the big leagues this season have come as a starter. He has allowed just eight runs (2.63 ERA) while striking out 25 across 27.1 total frames across the two levels.

Rays' Matt Andriese: Exits Tuesday with groin strain
Andriese left Tuesday's start against the Rangers with a mild groin strain.
He allowed two runs on three hits while recording just five outs before exiting. Rays' Chih-Wei Hu: Moves up to big leagues
Hu was recalled from Triple-A Durham on Tuesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Hunter Harvey RP | CHC
Orioles' Hunter Harvey: Completes full mound session
Harvey (elbow) threw a full bullpen session Tuesday, Roch Kubatko of MASN Sports reports.
According to the report, the Orioles were "really encouraged" with how the session went for Harvey, who is now roughly 10 months removed from Tommy John surgery. If Harvey continues to progress without any hiccups, he could return to competitive action at the lower levels by late June or early July. The right-hander has fared well when healthy since being drafted in the first round in 2013, but elbow issues have cost him two-plus years of development time.

Kam Mickolio RP | MIN
Twins' Kameron Mickolio: Back in U.S. following stint in Japan
Mickolio was assigned to Triple-A Rochester on Tuesday, Brandon Warne of ZoneCoverage.com reports.
Mickolio spent four seasons in Japan prior to signing with the Twins earlier in May. Overseas, the right-hander posted a 2.42 ERA along with a 1.09 WHIP in 208.1 innings. He seems to be in line for an organizational depth role for Minnesota.

Edwin Diaz RP | LAD
Mariners' Edwin Diaz: Logs ninth save Monday
Diaz notched his ninth save in Monday's 6-5 win over the Rockies, recording two strikeouts in a scoreless ninth inning.
Diaz was impressive for his second consecutive save opportunity, setting down Gerardo Parra, Trevor Story and Tony Wolters on 11 pitches. The young right-hander seems to have regained the closer role and has now rattled off five straight scoreless appearances with a 7:2 K:BB over six innings during that span.

Matt Belisle RP | CLE
Twins' Matt Belisle: Spring struggles continue
Belisle gave up three runs and a home run while retiring one batter in Monday's loss to Houston. He has an 8.66 ERA and 16:13 K:BB in 17.2 innings.
Belisle has struggled with walks as he has four walks in his last 4.2 innings. The Twins signed Belisle in the offseason with the hope he'd be a reliable setup man, but he's been a disappointment so far.

Alex Colome RP | CHW
Rays' Alex Colome: Mows through ninth for 14th save
Colome struck out the side on 11 pitches in the ninth inning of Monday's 10-8 win over the Rangers, notching his 14th save.
Colome mowed through Rougned Odor, Jonathan Lucroy and Joey Gallo, getting all three on swinging strikes to close out the high-scoring victory. The 28-year-old has gone 9-for-9 in save opportunities during May while also notching a victory on Sunday against the Twins. The impressive stretch has lowered Colome's ERA nearly a full run from 2.77 to 1.78, while his WHIP is now a stellar 0.91 following Monday's effort.
