Stanek will serve as the opener Sunday against the Athletics, Steve Carney of Sports Radio 620 WDAE reports.

Stanek will make his 22nd appearance as an opener this season and has a 1.91 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 35:10 K:BB through 33 innings thus far in that role. Ryan Yarbrough is slated to follow as the primary pitcher for Tampa Bay.

Yarbrough is expected to serve as the bulk reliever behind opener Ryne Stanek at Oakland on Sunday, Steve Carney of Sports Radio 620 WDAE reports.

Yarbrough will follow Stanek for the second straight outing and will look to replicate the three scoreless innings he delivered Tuesday. The 27-year-old has a 5.26 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 36:9 K:BB through 51.1 frames in what has been an up-and-down season thus far.

Hendriks is expected to fill the Athletics' closer role while Blake Treinen is sidelined with a strained rotator cuff, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Hendriks picked up his first save of the season Saturday against the Rays, striking out a pair in a scoreless ninth inning. The 30-year-old's career 4.42 ERA over nine seasons is hardly closer material, but he's been excellent this season, posting a 1.49 ERA and a 29.8 percent strikeout rate. It's not clear how long Treinen will be sidelined.

Treinen landed on the 10-day injured list with a strained rotator cuff Saturday, Susan Slusser of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The injury perhaps partially explains why Treinen has allowed five runs over his last four innings of work. It's not yet clear how much time he's expected to miss. Liam Hendriks, who got the save Saturday against the Rays, is expected to close in his absence.

Rogers was hit with his third blown save of the season Saturday against the Royals after he allowed one run on two hits in one inning. He struck out out one and walked one.

Rogers wasn't being used in a typical save situation, as he came in with two men on and none out in the eighth inning. He got the first two batters out but allowed the next three to reach base, driving in both of his inherited runners as well as one more. The Twins would eventually take the lead in the 10th inning, with Blake Parker recording the save.

Torres was designated for assignment by the Tigers on Saturday, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

Torres spent two weeks with the Tigers, allowing five runs in six innings of work while recording a strong 8:1 K:BB. Jose Cisnero was called up in a corresponding move.

Cisnero was called up from Triple-A Toledo on Saturday, Jason Beck of MLB.com reports.

Cisnero has 48.1 big-league innings under his belt, though none have come since 2014. He owns a 2.95 ERA in 36.2 innings for Toledo this season. Carlos Torres was designated for assignment in a corresponding move.

Manager Bob Melvin said Manaea (shoulder) is scheduled to pitch again Tuesday, though Oakland has yet to determine whether the lefty will appear in a simulated game or begin a minor-league rehab assignment, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

More clarity on Manaea's next step will likely arrive after he completes a bullpen session over the weekend and checks in with Oakland's medical staff. For his part, Manaea said he felt good following his most recent 60-pitch simulated game this week. Manaea, who has been sidelined all season following September shoulder surgery, should be ready to return from the 60-day injured list at some point shortly after the All-Star break if he hits no snags in his recovery program.

De Leon (elbow) allowed an earned run on four hits, three walks and a hit batsman over two-plus innings in his most recent rehab outing for Triple-A Durham against Pawtucket on Wednesday.

De Leon had considerable location issues, leading to his exit after 63 pitches three batters into the third inning. The outing was De Leon's second since he was granted an extension on his rehab assignment June 8, so a decision on his activation is looming. The rehabbing right-hander has logged nine minor-league appearances overall during his recovery, posting a 3.96 ERA and 1.60 WHIP across 25 innings.

Beeks struck out one and allowed two runs off three hits and no walks in two innings against the A's on Friday.

The southpaw struggled as the primary pitcher in his second straight appearance, this time giving up a solo home run in both of his two innings. After allowing four runs in five innings over his last two appearances, Beeks' ERA has risen to 2.95 but he still boasts a respectable 50:19 K:BB in 58 innings this season. Jose De Leon (elbow), Tyler Glasnow (forearm) and Anthony Banda (elbow) remain on the 60-day injured list, but they are all progressing in their rehab processes. Beeks could be relegated to the bullpen when they are ready to return.
