The Red Sox optioned Kelley to Triple-A Pawtucket on Thursday, Michael Silverman of the Boston Herald reports.

Kelley's first stint in the big leagues lasted just two days, with the right-hander getting tagged for three runs in one inning in his lone relief appearance Tuesday in Toronto. He'll cede his spot in the Boston bullpen and on the 25-man roster to Heath Hembree (forearm), who was activated from the 10-day injured list in a corresponding move.

Rogers gave up one hit and struck out two over a scoreless inning to record his 11th save in a 4-3 win over the Athletics on Wednesday.

Rogers didn't enter the game until the 12th inning and had two runners reach base (one on an error), but he recovered to nail down the save. The left-hander has a 2-1 record with a 1.93 ERA and a 1.04 WHIP heading into the All-Star break.

Hendriks, who filled in as the closer while Blake Treinen (shoulder) was on the injured list, is expected to progressively revert to his previous role as a result of the latter's activation Wednesday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

The veteran right-hander secured American League Reliever of the Month honors for his work in June, during which he secured two saves and six holds while also picking up his third victory. Hendriks also notched his third save Tuesday against the Cardinals, but that could well be his last opportunity for some time. Manager Bob Melvin stated prior to Wednesday's game that he planned to use Treinen in a low-leverage scenario in his first appearance back and then return him to his usual closing role moving forward, although that plan was quickly discarded when the Twins pushed the Athletics to extra innings. Hendriks worked a pair of scoreless frames Wednesday and recorded two strikeouts to preserve a 3-3 tie, while Treinen ultimately came on in the 12th inning and allowed the go-ahead RBI single that would prove to be the difference in the contest. Despite the stumble, Melvin is likely to adhere to his original statement for the foreseeable future, leaving Hendriks to primarily serve as a setup option.

Adams (1-1) was charged with the loss against the Cardinals on Wednesday after recording just two outs while surrendering three runs on two hits and a walk while recording one strikeout.

Adams came into the ninth inning with a two-run lead and proceeded to load the bases with a pair of singles and a walk. The right-hander was then replaced by Roenis Elias, who allowed all three of his runners to score on an RBI single and a three-run homer surrendered to Tommy Edman. Since being promoted from Triple-A Tacoma in May, Adams has put together a respectable a 3.47 ERA, 1.03 WHIP and 41:11 K:BB over 21 relief appearances.

Alexander was optioned to Triple-A Toledo after starting Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader against the White Sox. He allowed two runs on five hits while recording four strikeoutso over five innings, but he did not factor in the decision.

Alexander pitched well in his major-league debut and was only hurt by a pair of solo homers, but he'll still return to the minors as expected after serving as the 26th man for the twin bill. The 24-year-old seemingly put himself in a good spot to return to the majors later in the season when the Tigers eventually need an additional starter.

Alvarado (0-5) allowed six runs (five earned) on four hits, a walk and a wild pitch while striking out none and recording only two outs en route to taking the loss Wednesday against the Orioles.

Alvarado entered a tied contest in the ninth inning and immediately battled his control, walking the first batter he faced and then advancing him on a wild pitch. His struggles only worsened from there, as he allowed an RBI triple and three-run home run prior to getting the hook. The runs were the first that Alvarado has allowed in two innings since returning from the restricted list on June 29. He also recorded his seventh save of the season earlier in the series against Baltimore.

Pruitt allowed three earned runs on six hits and three walks while striking out seven across five innings Wednesday against the Orioles. He did not factor into the decision.

Pruitt followed opener Ryne Stanek into the game in the second inning. He didn't run into any trouble until the fourth frame, when he allowed consecutive singles that led to a three-run blast by Rio Ruiz. Pruitt hasn't been particularly impressive this season, as he now has a 5.66 ERA and 1.45 WHIP with 16 strikeouts across 20.2 innings.

Fulmer was optioned to Triple-A Charlotte following Game 2 of Wednesday's doubleheader against the Tigers, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Fulmer allowed one run on two hits over one inning in the nightcap and will make his way back to the minors. The 25-year-old has a 6.32 ERA, 1.98 WHIP and 18:14 K:BB in 12 major-league appearances this season.

Armstrong struck out the only batter he faced to record the save Wednesday against the Blue Jays.

Armstrong entered the game after Richard Bleier surrendered three earned runs in the ninth inning, bringing the tying run to the plate for the Rays. However, Armstrong secured the win for the Orioles by whiffing Tommy Pham on seven pitches, recording his second save of the season in the process. It was Armstrong's first save since May 27, and chances are likely to remain rare given the Orioles' lack of wins and committee approach to the closer role.

Jurado (5-4) took the loss Wednesday as the Rangers were downed 6-2 by the Angels, surrendering six runs on seven hits and a walk over six innings while striking out seven.

The young right-hander kept most of the Angels' lineup in check and posted a season high in strikeouts, but he unfortunately couldn't solve Mike Trout, who took Jurado deep twice. He'll carry a 4.38 ERA and 48:16 K:BB through 63.2 innings into the All-Star break.
