Alvarado (oblique) was activated from the 10-day injured list Tuesday, Josh Tolentino of The Athletic reports.

The southpaw returns to the Rays' bullpen after being sidelined since July 6. In five rehab appearances, Alvarado recorded an ERA of 2.45 with a 1.09 WHIP. Right-hander Austin Pruitt was optioned to Triple-A Durham in a corresponding move.

Pruitt (2-0) picked up the win as the primary pitcher against the Padres on Monday, giving up one earned run on five hits over four innings, striking out four with no walks in a 10-4 victory for the Rays.

Following up opener Diego Castillo, Pruitt put in a solid effort in working around five hits to hold the Padres to just one run and pick up his second win of the season. He lowered his ERA from 5.16 to 4.73 with the effort, to go along with a 1.39 WHIP and a 21:8 K:BB across 26.2 innings.

Alvarado (oblique) could join the Rays during their current series against the Padres that lasts through Wednesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The left-handed reliever has logged five rehab appearances and posted a solid 2.45 ERA and .154 BAA across 3.2 innings. Alvarado has also been better on the control front -- something the Rays wanted him to work on during his time in the minors --issuing zero walks in four of his five appearances. A spot for Alvarado could be cleared by the placement of Tommy Pham (hand) on the injured list, a move that's reportedly being considered as of late Monday night.

Stewart (2-0) gave up three runs on five hits and no walks while striking out three through 5.1 innings to take the win over the Rangers on Monday.

After Neil Ramirez threw a scoreless inning as the opener, Stewart delivered a solid outing to pick up his second win, despite allowing three home runs. This was the right-hander's longest outing of the season and his second consecutive productive performance being used as a primary pitcher. Stewart has a 2-0 record with a 7.43 ERA through 13.1 innings this season.

Jurado (6-8) gave up eight runs on 11 hits and one walk while striking out three through 3.2 innings to take the loss against the Blue Jays on Monday.

Jurado allowed five runs before a disastrous fourth inning in which the Blue Jays scored eight runs -- three of which were charged to the 23-year-old. Jurado has a 5.31 ERA with 72 strikeouts through 15 starts this season. He will make his next start Saturday against the Twins at Globe Life Park in Arlington.

Chapman posted a 1-2-3 ninth inning with a strikeout during a save in an 8-5 victory against the Orioles in the first game of a doubleheader Monday.

The 31-year-old has converted seven straight save opportunities and is on a five-inning scoreless streak. Chapman has at least one strikeout in seven consecutive appearances as well. He is 3-2 with 32 saves, 2.51 ERA, 1.18 WHIP and 67 strikeouts in 46.2 innings this season.

Hand (6-3) allowed a run on a hit and two walks in one inning Monday, striking out a batter while blowing the save and earning the win over Boston.

Hand has now earned a win in two straight games after blowing save chances Sunday and Monday. Fortunately, Carlos Santana has bailed him out with clutch homers in each of those contests. The 29-year-old lefty now owns a 2.74 ERA, the highest it's been at any point in 2019.

Mantiply (1-0) picked up the win after surrendering three runs on three hits and two walks while striking out two over three innings in Game 2 of Monday's doubleheader against Baltimore. He was optioned to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre after Game 2.

Mantiply didn't appear to have his best stuff, but he kept his team in the game and was ultimately rewarded with the win. The Yankees have yet to announce a corresponding move, but they'll likely add a few fresh arms to the bullpen following a twin bill.

Phillips was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk following Monday's doubleheader against the Yankees. He allowed three runs on two hits and two walks while striking out two over one inning prior to the demotion.

Phillips was promoted to the big leagues ahead of Monday's twin bill, but his time with the Orioles didn't last long. He now owns an 8.84 ERA with 29 strikeouts over 19.1 innings this season in the majors.

Ottavino gave up one hit and struck out one through a scoreless 0.2 innings to record his second save in an 11-8 win over the Orioles on Monday.

Ottavino was called upon with the bases loaded and one out in the ninth inning, and even though he gave up a two-run single, he recovered to record the next two outs for his second save. Even though he gave up two runs in his last outing, Ottavino has his only two saves of the year within his last three outings. The 33-year-old has a 5-4 record with a 1.71 ERA through 56 appearances this season.
