Pressly (knee) threw a bullpen session Saturday, Julia Morales of AT&T SportsNet Southwest reports.

This is his first such session since he had arthroscopic right knee surgery back in August. Houston hopes to get its top setup man back for the final 10 days of the season, which would mean Pressly would be activated sometime next week.

Treinen allowed two earned runs on two hits and two walks over an inning in a win over the Rangers on Friday. He struck out one.

Treinen was brought on with a comfortable 14-7 lead in the ninth and worked himself into a jam by putting the first three batters he faced on base via an infield single and a pair of walks. The right-hander ultimately allowed a two-out single to Elvis Andrus that plated two of those runners before inducing a game-ending pop-up from Willie Calhoun. Treinen's latest hiccup is symptomatic of the inconsistency that's plagued his 2019 campaign, one that's seen him allow multiple earned runs on nine occasions after doing so only twice during his stellar 2018 season.

Puk secured his second hold in a win over the Rangers on Friday, firing two perfect frames during which he recorded a strikeout.

The rookie left-hander notched his six outs on an efficient 24 pitches and served as a bridge to Blake Treinen in the ninth. Puk now has three straight scoreless appearances, and an additionally encouraging aspect of Friday's stellar outing was the fact it represented Puk's first time pitching on consecutive nights in the majors.

Scott was recalled from Triple-A Bowie on Saturday.

He has a 0.56 ERA and 21:3 K:BB in 16 innings (13 appearances) with Bowie but has given up 24 runs in 14.1 innings in big-league stops with the Mariners and Orioles. Look for him to work in low-leverage situations.

Betances (lat) will be activated prior to Sunday's game in Toronto, James Wagner of The New York Times reports.

He completed his final rehab appearance Friday and is flying to Toronto to join the team for the final game of this weekend's series. Betances gave up one run while striking out four and walking two in three innings during his rehab assignment. He should assume a high-leverage role fairly quickly in preparation for the postseason.

Harvey (biceps) threw a scoreless inning while notching one strikeout Friday against the Tigers.

He did not allow a hit or a walk in his first game back after missing almost two weeks with biceps soreness. Harvey should pitch in high-leverage situations over the rest of the season and could challenge Mychal Givens for saves in 2020.

De Leon is slated to be added to the major-league roster Saturday now that Triple-A Durham's season has ended, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

De Leon was up briefly for the Rays in August, generating a 3.00 ERA across three innings over a pair of appearances. The right-hander made a successful return from Tommy John surgery this season at the Triple-A level, posting a 2-1 record, 3.51 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 73:27 K:BB across 51.1 innings while making 13 starts for the Bulls overall. He'll add depth to the Rays' staff down the stretch and will become the franchise-record 37th player on the active roster once he's officially activated.

Mayza has a torn UCL and will require Tommy John surgery, Hazel Mae of Sportsnet reports.

This will wipe out Mayza's 2020 season as well, but he should be fully recovered in time for spring training in 2021. He logged a 4.91 ERA and 1.40 WHIP in 51.1 innings this season.

Diplan was designated for assignment on Saturday.

The Brewers sent him to the Twins for cash back on July 31, and Diplan logged a 3.14 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 14 strikeouts in 14.1 innings (10 games) since the trade. All told, he has a 4.03 ERA in 38 innings at the Double-A level since transitioning to the bullpen.

Alcala's contract was selected from Triple-A Rochester prior to Saturday's doubleheader against the Indians.

A hard-throwing righty whose fastball can touch triple digits, Alcala has not allowed a run while striking out 11 in 7.2 innings (five appearances) since getting promoted to Triple-A. He had been developed as a starting pitcher earlier in the year, but it's not surprising that the Twins have moved him to a relief role, where his shaky command may not be as big of a hindrance.
