Romano (finger) is scheduled to throw a bullpen session Friday, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Manager Charlie Montoyo said that Romano was around 75-to-80 percent during his bullpen session Tuesday. The team will determine his next steps based on how he feels Friday, but the Blue Jays likely want him to throw live batting practice before returning. However, the team remains hopeful that the right-hander will be able to return to game action at some point in 2020.

Misiewicz was credited with his eighth hold in a win over the Astros on Wednesday, firing a scoreless two-thirds of an inning during which he recorded a strikeout.

Misiewicz has encouragingly evened out his performances down the season's stretch run, as he's now posted scoreless appearances in four of the last five trips to the mound. The southpaw has been a versatile option for manager Scott Servais, as he's been effective in both sub-one-inning outings and longer assignments that have seen him work as much as a pair of frames. Following Wednesday's effort, Misiewicz sports a 4.26 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and impressive 24:5 K:BB across 19 innings.

Pearson (elbow) is being activated prior to Thursday's game against the Yankees, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

The Blue Jays are hoping to get Pearson a clean inning for his first career relief outing. He will not make any more starts this season, but it is nonetheless encouraging that he will hopefully enter the offseason having returned to game action and with a clean bill of health.

Bummer (biceps) was reinstated from the 45-day injured list prior to Thursday's game against Cleveland.

This is encouraging, as there were no guarantees Bummer would make it back this season. He last pitched in a game Aug. 7 and had an impressive 1.23 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 12:4 K:BB in 7.1 innings before suffering the injury. Look for him to quickly work his way back into the setup mix in advance of the postseason.

Hendriks picked up the save against the Dodgers on Wednesday after tossing a perfect ninth inning that included one strikeout.

Hendriks was tasked with protecting a 6-4 lead in the ninth inning and did so with ease, retiring all three of his batters, including a strikeout of Cody Bellinger. The 31-year-old right-hander has been phenomenal this season, sporting a 1.17 ERA and 0.65 WHIP with 14 saves across 22 appearances.

Manaea did not factor into the decision during Wednesday's win over the Dodgers, allowing three runs on six hits and a walk while striking out four across six innings.

The long ball was the enemy of the night for Manaea, who silenced the Dodgers until the third inning, when he yielded a two-run homer to Max Muncy. He also gave up a solo blast to Cody Bellinger in the seventh frame, which would be his final batter of the night. Manea threw a season-high 91 pitches, including 59 for strikes. The 28-year-old, who has been named a likely candidate to start the Athletics' first playoff game next week, has put together a 4.50 ERA and 1.20 WHIP across 12 appearances (11 starts) in the regular season. Across his last six starts, however, the southpaw has compiled a solid 2.65 ERA.

Zimmermann allowed a run on two hits and a walk and struck out five over four relief innings in Wednesday's 9-1 loss to the Red Sox.

Zimmermann worked the final four innings of the game, with the only run against him coming on a wild pitch in the seventh inning. The 25-year-old has allowed six runs over seven innings in two appearances (one start) this year. It's unclear if he'll get another look in a long-relief role before the end of the season.

Hand (2-1) threw a scoreless ninth inning to become the pitcher of record in the Indians' 3-2 win over the White Sox on Wednesday.

A Jordan Luplow game-winning home run gave Hand his second win of the season. In fact, Hand has racked up both wins and four saves through his previous eight appearances, allowing only one run over that stretch. He lowered his season ERA to 2.29 with Wednesday's performance.

Barria gave up two runs on three hits and zero walks over two innings during Wednesday's 5-2 win over the Padres. He had zero strikeouts and didn't factor in the decision.

The 24-year-old surrendered a two-run homer to Eric Hosmer during the first inning and only worked one time through the order before being lifted for Patrick Sandoval. It was likely Barria's final start of the season, but he figures to be available out of the bullpen this weekend after throwing only 32 pitches Wednesday. The right-hander has a 3.62 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 27:9 K:BB through 32.1 innings.

Junis was recalled from the alternate training site Wednesday.

The 28-year-old was demoted after allowing five runs during a spot start last week, but he'll rejoin the active roster with five games left in the season. According to Jeffrey Flanagan of MLB.com, Junis will be utilized in short stints as a reliever down the stretch.
