King is part of the Yankees' taxi squad for their current road trip, Brendan Kuty of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.

King was optioned to the team's alternate site Tuesday, but there's little doubt that he'll be back in the majors at some point during the campaign. The right-hander tossed six scoreless innings out of the bullpen against Toronto on April 4 in his lone outing of the season.

Abreu (1-1) was charged with the loss Friday against the Athletics, allowing one run on one hit while striking out one across 2.1 innings.

The righty sat down the first six men he faced in relief of Lance McCullers before allowing a single in the top of the eighth. Abreu was pulled by manager Dusty Baker after striking out the next batter. The baserunner he allowed would come around to score on a Matt Olson home run, sticking Abreu with the loss. Nevertheless, it has been a strong start to the season for the 25-year-old, who has only surrendered one run across 6.2 innings pitched.

Puk (biceps) will be out longer than the 10 days required by his placement on the injured list, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

It's still not clear how long Puk will be sidelined, but he has not yet resumed throwing, and manager Bob Melvin revealed he will miss more than 10 days of action.

Fulmer pitched four innings in relief during Friday's loss to Cleveland. He allowed one run on two hits while striking out five.

Julio Teheran (shoulder) was scratched from his start Friday and subsequently placed on the 10-day injured list, so the Tigers made it a bullpen game started by Derek Holland. Fulmer pitched the final four innings of the contest, and it's noteworthy because the righty never went beyond three innings last season, which was his first year back after Tommy John surgery. Fulmer looked good in the longer appearance, and while he's currently in the Detroit bullpen, he could work his way back into the rotation at some point.

Lange was recalled from the taxi squad prior to Saturday's game in Cleveland.

Julio Teheran landed on the injured list with a right shoulder strain, so Lange joins the bullpen in a corresponding move. It may be a short stay with the big club, as Lange could be sent to the alternate site whenever the Tigers promote Teheran's replacement in the rotation.

Paredes (side) will wait a couple of weeks before he resumes throwing, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Paredes was placed on the 10-day injured list due to right side soreness Friday, and manager Dusty Baker said Saturday that the right-hander is facing a shutdown in order to let him fully recover. As a result, Paredes should spend more than the minimum of 10 days on the injured list. A better idea of his return timetable should come into focus once Paredes resumes throwing.

Pruitt (elbow) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Saturday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

He had surgery in September to repair a hairline fracture in his elbow and evidently won't be ready to return to game action until June at the earliest.

Rodriguez hurled 1.2 scoreless frames in a relief appearance against Toronto on Friday. He allowed no hits and two walks while striking out a pair.

Rodriguez's control was shaky in the outing -- he threw a wild pitch and hit a batter, while only 21 of his 41 pitches went for strikes -- but he navigated his way through 1.2 frames to close out the Angels' victory. Aside from the control issues, the rookie has looked great out of the bullpen so far this season, yielding only one earned run over 6.1 innings while posting an 8:5 K:BB and consistently hitting the upper 90s with his fastball.

Luetge tossed three innings out of the bullpen against Tampa Bay on Friday, allowing one run on three hits and no walks while striking out four.

The left-hander came into the contest in the fifth inning with New York already down by five runs. He gave up a seventh-inning homer to Willy Adames but otherwise quieted the Rays' offense. Luetge has yielded at least one run in each of his three appearances this season and has a 7.20 ERA over five frames. However, there is some optimism to be found in his 6:0 K:BB.

King allowed two hits and struck out four over two scoreless innings in Friday's 3-0 loss to the Padres.

King was the second-best pitcher in the game following San Diego's Joe Musgrove, who no-hit the Rangers. It was King's third appearance of the season and first that lasted more than three outs. All of his appearances have been in the middle innings, and King has allowed four runs (one earned) and six hits while striking out five over four innings.
