Fleming (1-2) allowed one run on four hits and two walks while striking out three in 4.1 innings to take the loss against the Blue Jays on Sunday.

Fleming served as a traditional starter in each of his first two outings of the season, but he entered Sunday's game as the primary pitcher behind right-hander Luis Patino. Fleming was still relatively effective in Sunday's series finale, but he was charged with the loss since he gave up the only run of the game in the top of the fifth inning. Fleming has posted a 1.23 ERA and 0.95 WHIP in 14.2 innings to begin the year. He lines up to make his next appearance at home against the Astros on Friday.

Patino allowed no hits and one walk while striking out three in 2.2 scoreless innings in Sunday's loss to the Blue Jays. He didn't factor into the decision.

Patino made his team debut as Sunday's opener, and he tossed 42 pitches before primary pitcher Josh Fleming entered the game. Patino posted a 5.19 ERA in 17.1 innings with the Padres last year but could earn more opportunities with the Rays if he continues to pitch effectively.

Mayza (1-0) allowed no runs on two hits and no walks in one-third of an inning to earn the win against the Rays on Sunday.

Mayza entered Sunday's game in the fourth inning after Hyun Jin Ryu (glute) was removed from the contest early, and he picked up his first win of the year as the Blue Jays scored the lone run of the game in the top of the fifth. The left-hander has made nine relief appearances to begin the year and has struck out seven in six scoreless frames.

Hentges (1-0) allowed two hits and no walks while striking out one in 1.2 scoreless innings to earn the win against the Yankees on Sunday.

Hentges gave up one run in his major-league debut Tuesday, and he picked up the win in relief in Sunday's series finale against the Yankees. The southpaw has now allowed one run on three hits and no walks while striking out four in 2.1 relief innings this year.

Stiever was optioned to the alternate training site Sunday.

Stiever was called up ahead of Sunday's game against the Rangers and gave up three runs on four hits and no walks while failing to record an out in relief. He'll now be cast off the major-league roster again following his lackluster season debut.

Iglesias allowed a hit in a scoreless ninth inning to earn a save in Sunday's win over Houston. He struck out one batter.

Iglesias allowed a one-out single to Kyle Tucker but forced a double play to finish off the game. It was encouraging to see the 31-year-old get a save opportunity so quickly after blowing his second save in a rough outing Friday. Iglesias is now 3-for-5 in save chances this season with a 6.75 ERA.

Barnes picked up his fourth save of the season after pitching a scoreless ninth inning Sunday against the Mariners, striking out two.

Barnes didn't have his best stuff Friday but looked much improved this time around, as he didn't have problems retiring the side and closing things out in the ninth. He has gone 4-for-4 in save opportunities this season, and this was also his third scoreless outing over his last four appearances.

The Yankees optioned Nelson to their alternate training site Sunday.

Nelson wasn't likely to be available for at least the next day or two after he tossed two innings (40 pitches) and gave up three runs in Sunday's 7-3 loss to Cleveland. He'll be replaced on the active roster by Deivi Garcia, who will be recalled from the alternate site ahead of his scheduled start Monday in Baltimore.

Brasier (calf) has resumed throwing at the Red Sox's spring training facility in Fort Myers, Fla., Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.

Brasier is limited to playing catch off flat ground at this time while he works his way back from a right calf strain, but the Red Sox are hopeful that he'll graduate to mound work in the near future. The reliever doesn't look like he'll make it back from the 10-day injured list by the end of April, but he could be cleared to make his season debut at some point in early or mid-May.

Quijada was re-added to the 40-man roster and moved off the restricted list last week, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Visa issues kept Quijada out of spring camp until March 24, and he was subsequently placed on the restricted list. The left-hander has a 5.94 ERA across 33.1 big-league innings and is likely headed to the team's alternate site or the minors when ready to pitch.
