Tate (hamstring) will be reinstated from the 10-day injured list Thursday, Joe Trezza of MLB.com reports.

Tate began a rehab assignment Tuesday and struck out one in a perfect relief inning for Triple-A Norfolk. He had been dealing with a left hamstring strain since early May and should reclaim his role as a middle reliever once he's officially activated.

Brentz pitched 1.1 scoreless innings and struck out two to earn a hold in Tuesday's 2-1 win over Tampa Bay.

Brentz has posted five scoreless innings across his last five outings. His hold Tuesday was his first since April 25 -- Kansas City endured a rough stretch of games earlier in May. Overall, the southpaw has a 2.61 ERA, 1.21 WHIP, 23:13 K:BB, four holds and a win in 20.2 innings this season. He's been effective at keeping runs off the board, but a 4.05 FIP suggests he could face a bit of regression.

King covered three innings out of the bullpen Tuesday in the Yankees' 6-2 loss to the Blue Jays, surrendering one run on six hits and a walk while striking out three.

King tossed 54 pitches over the three-inning appearance, his longest outing since April 16. The Yankees needed King to eat innings after starter Corey Kluber covered only three frames before departing with right shoulder tightness. The Yankees will send Kluber in for an MRI on Wednesday to glean a better picture of the severity of his injury, leaving his availability in question for his next turn through the rotation Sunday in Detroit. King and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre starter Deivi Garcia would appear to be the leading candidates to step into the rotation if Kluber isn't cleared for the weekend.

Yang (0-2) took the loss against the Angels on Tuesday, pitching 3.1 innings and allowing seven runs on five hits and three walks while striking out two.

The outing started off ominously for Yang, as he gave up a leadoff homer to Justin Upton. The left-hander then served up a two-run shot to Jared Walsh in the second inning before completely unraveling in the fourth frame, during which he allowed the first four batters to reach base and managed to secure only one out. The seven earned runs were more than Yang had allowed over his previous four outings combined and pushed his ERA up to 5.47 on the season. He's not guaranteed to get another start, but if he does, it could come against Seattle on Sunday.

Akin allowed two runs on three hits and struck out three in three innings of Tuesday's 7-4 loss to Minnesota.

The southpaw allowed an RBI double to Alex Kirilloff in the sixth inning and a solo home run to Rob Refsnyder in the eighth. Akin threw 29 of his 45 pitches for strikes. He's mostly logged multi-inning assignments out of the bullpen since joining Baltimore's big-league roster earlier in May. He hasn't found much success with a 6.10 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 10:1 K:BB across 10.1 innings in four appearances.

Montero pitched the ninth inning of Tuesday's 4-3 win over Oakland, allowing two hits but stranding both runners to record the save.

Montero retired the first two Athletics batters he faced on just four pitches but then surrendered consecutive singles to put runners on the corners before retiring Seth Brown on a comebacker to end the game. Although Montero leads the team in saves, he's part of a closer committee with Keynan Middleton, who recorded the save Monday, and Kendall Graveman, who's currently on the COVID-19 injured list.

Sewald (2-0) recorded the win in relief Tuesday against Oakland, going two innings and allowing one hit and one walk with three strikeouts.

Sewald relieved starter Logan Gilbert in the fifth and secured the victory thanks to being spotted a 4-2 lead upon entry. This was his fourth appearance in 10 days since being recalled, and Sewald has impressed with a 1.29 ERA and 12 strikeouts in seven innings, though he also has a less-than-impressive 1.43 WHIP.

Hendriks did not allow a baserunner in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save Tuesday against the Cardinals.

It didn't appear as if Hendriks would be called upon, as the White Sox opened up the ninth frame with a five-run lead. However, Garrett Crochet allowed each of the first three batters he faced to reach base, which caused Hendriks to be summoned from the bullpen. He proceeded to strike out all three of the batters he faced to earn his 10th save this season. Hendriks has been dominant in 19 innings, maintaining a 2.38 ERA with a 31:3 K:BB.

Rogers allowed only one walk across 1.1 scoreless innings to earn the save Tuesday against the Orioles.

Rogers relieved Alex Colome with two outs in the eighth inning to protect a two-run lead. He had little trouble doing so, though the tying run did reach base in the final frame after an error and walk. However, Rogers induced a groundout to end the game to secure his third save of the season. The Twins closer role appears to have devolved into a committee, though Rogers and Hansel Robles are likely to account for the majority of the team's saves for the time being.

Rodriguez (shoulder) completed a bullpen session Tuesday and could be activated from the injured list by the end of the week, Mike DiGiovanna of the Los Angeles Times reports.

The 23-year-old has thrown three bullpen sessions over the past week and appears to be in the final stages of his rehab before returning from the injured list. Rodriguez has a 2.30 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 17:8 K:BB through 15.2 innings this season, but he's been on the shelf since May 6 with right shoulder irritation.
