Green (0-4) allowed four runs on four hits and struck out one in two-thirds of an inning, taking the loss versus Boston on Saturday.

Green was hit hard, as Enrique Hernandez and Christian Vazquez each tagged him for RBI doubles. Bobby Dalbec added a two-run home run as insurance for Boston. Despite the rough outing, Green still has a 3.14 ERA, 0.87 WHIP and 27:7 K:BB across 28.2 innings this year. He's added two saves, eight holds and a blown save in a high-leverage role.

Barnes struck out the only batter he faced to earn the save in Saturday's 7-3 win over the Yankees.

Brandon Workman walked two batters before Barnes entered the game with two outs in the ninth inning. Barnes retired Kyle Higashioka on five pitches for the save. The right-hander is now 14-for-15 in save chances this year. He's posted a 2.49 ERA, 0.63 WHIP and 45:5 K:BB across 25.1 innings as Boston's unquestioned closer.

Canterino has been placed on the minor-league injured list with a strained right elbow, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

Canterino is one of the Twins' more interesting pitching prospects. The 2019 second-round pick had gotten off to an excellent start through four outings for High-A Cedar Rapids, striking out an incredible 51.5 percent of opposing batters en route to a 1.00 ERA and 0.72 WHIP. The severity of his injury is not yet clear, but elbow issues are certainly never a good sign for a pitcher.

Brasier (calf) is now dealing with a concussion and a cut above his ear after Friday's comebacker incident, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

The reliever is now resting at home after the scary incident in Friday's simulated game, when he took a line drive to the head and required an overnight stay in the hospital. The concussion comes at an extremely unfortunate time for Brasier, as he was nearing his return to the Boston bullpen.

Santiago (0-1) was handed the loss Friday against the Angels, allowing an earned run on two hits and a walk while recording five strikeouts over three innings.

Manager Scott Servais leveraged Santiago's stretched-out arm for some valuable frames in what turned into a bullpen game for the Mariners when spot starter Robert Dugger was chased after just 2.1 innings. Santiago missed plenty of bats against his old Angels squad, but the fourth-inning solo home run he surrendered to Jose Rojas turned out to be the difference in the game.

Jax will be added to the Twins' roster ahead of Saturday's game against the Royals, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

The righty has impressed in Triple-A this season, pitching 27 innings across five starts with a 3.33 ERA, 29 strikeouts and no home runs allowed. Jax will have the opportunity to carve out a considerable role for himself in a struggling Twins pitching staff.

Morgan was optioned to Triple-A Columbus on Saturday.

Morgan was roughed up in his major-league debut in late May, as he allowed six runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out one in 2.2 innings. The right-hander will now return to the minors, while Jean Carlos Mejia should remain in the starting rotation in the immediate future.

Cisnero (0-3) allowed one run on two hits while striking out a batter in an inning's work as he took the loss against the White Sox on Friday.

Cisnero came back out for the ninth after retiring the White Sox hitters in order the prior inning, but he did not have the same success. He started off by hitting Yoan Moncada, who eventually came around to score the winning run after a pair of singles by Jose Abreu and Yermin Mercedes. Cisnero had been on a good run coming into Friday with nine straight scoreless outings. He now owns a 4.37 ERA and 32:8 K:BB over 22.2 innings.

Hendriks (2-1) faced just one batter Friday and got him out as he took the win over the Tigers.

Hendriks entered with two runners on and two outs in the ninth and got Niko Goodrum to fly out to end the inning. The White Sox ended up rallying with a run in the ninth to walk it off, awarding Hendriks the win. The 32-year-old is making good the $54 million contract he signed in the offseason, as he owns a 1.93 ERA, 0.77 WHIP and 38:3 K:BB over 23.1 innings and is third in baseball with 14 saves.

Fleming (5-4) took the loss Friday, coughing up five runs on 10 hits over seven innings as the Rays were downed 5-4 by the Rangers. He struck out two without walking a batter.

The lefty wasn't hit particularly hard, as only two of the 10 hits went for extra bases, including a Joey Gallo solo shot in the fifth inning, but Fleming still came out on the wrong end of the decision in his longest outing of the year. He'll take a 3.44 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 30:12 K:BB through 52.1 innings into his next appearance.
