Hansel Robles RP | LAD
Twins' Hansel Robles: Tagged for three runs in loss
Robles (3-4) took the loss Tuesday against the Reds after giving up three runs on two hits with zero strikeouts and zero walks during the ninth inning.
It wasn't a save situation as the right-hander entered with the game tied 7-7, but he was still charged with the loss after allowing a double and hitting a batter before serving up a three-run homer to Tyler Naquin. It's the first time since April 21, a span of 26 appearances, in which Robles surrendered more than one run in an outing. Overall he has a 3.48 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 34:19 K:BB over 33.2 innings with 12 holds, and he's converted six of eight save opportunities.

Pete Fairbanks RP | MIA
Rays' Pete Fairbanks: Takes loss in extras
Fairbanks (1-3) allowed four runs (three earned) on four hits and a walk while striking out one across two innings, taking the loss to the Red Sox on Tuesday.
Fairbanks managed to prevent the runner on second from scoring in the 10th inning; however, he got beat up for four runs after going back out in the 11th frame. This was his worst performance of the season, but he isn't used to pitching multiple innings. After allowing just two runs in his first 18.1 innings, he's surrendered multiple earned runs in two of his last three appearances. The 27-year-old's ERA rose from 1.93 to 3.05 after the four-run inning Tuesday. He has three saves and eight holds in 22 appearances.

Twins' Cole Sands: Placed on injured list
Sands (undisclosed) has been placed on the 7-day injured list at Double-A Wichita, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reports.
It's not clear what Sands is dealing with at this point, but he'll be on the shelf for at least the next seven days. The highly touted prospect has enjoyed a solid season with Wichita so far, posting a 2.84 ERA and 42:18 K:BB across 31.2 innings.

Nate Pearson RP | KC
Blue Jays' Nate Pearson: Heads to injured list
Pearson has been placed on the 7-day injured list with a right groin strain, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.
The injury comes at a bad time for the big righty, who had strung together consecutive strong outings at Triple-A, allowing two runs in 11 innings between the two starts. There's been no indication yet as to how long Pearson might be sidelined by the groin strain.

Yohan Ramirez RP | PIT
Mariners' Yohan Ramirez: Optioned yet again
Ramirez was optioned to Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday.
Ramirez has bounced back and forth between Seattle and Tacoma, with this marking his third demotion since May 27. If the Mariners continue this pattern, Ramirez figures to get promoted once again when the club is in need of an additional bullpen arm. Ramirez has appeared in two big-league games this season, allowing three runs on two hits and two walks across four innings. Donovan Walton was recalled from Tacoma in a corresponding roster move.

Bruce Zimmermann RP | STL
Orioles' Bruce Zimmermann: Out two or three more weeks
Zimmerman (biceps) will miss two or three more weeks, Nathan Ruiz of The Baltimore Sun reports.
Zimmerman hasn't pitched in over a week due to left biceps tendinitis, and he's still not particularly close to returning to action. He's on track to return in early or mid-July.

Luis Rijo RP | NYY
Twins' Luis Rijo: Out with forearm strain
Rijo was placed on the seven-day injured list at High-A Cedar Rapids retroactive to June 21 with a right forearm strain.
Rijo has made just one appearance this season for Cedar Rapids, throwing a scoreless inning with one strikeout. He began the season on the temporary inactive list before being reinstated June 10 and then was hurt after his first outing June 13.

Justin Wilson RP | BOS
Yankees' Justin Wilson: Cleared for rehab assignment
The Yankees assigned Wilson (hamstring) to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Tuesday to begin a rehab assignment.
Wilson has been on the shelf since late May with a right hamstring strain, so he'll presumably require at least one or two tune-up outings in the minors before being brought back from the 10-day injured list. Prior to being shut down, Wilson appeared in 15 games out of the Yankees bullpen, giving up nine earned runs on 13 hits and six walks over 13.1 innings.
-
Brian Johnson RP | BOS
Angels' Brian Johnson: Joins Angels on minor-league deal
Johnson signed a minor-league contract with the Angels on Monday.
Johnson owns a respectable 4.74 career ERA in 171 innings at the major-league level. The last of those came in 2019, however, and he's been out of affiliated ball since getting released by the Red Sox last August. His only game action over the last two years has come this season with the Milwaukee Milkmen of the independent American Association, where he struck out eight batters and walked none over five scoreless innings. He's expected to head to Triple-A Salt Lake once he clears health and safety protocols.

Austin Pruitt RP | TEX
Astros' Austin Pruitt: Rehab moving to Sugar Land
Pruitt (elbow) will join Triple-A Sugar Land to continue this rehab assignment, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Pruitt's travels took him to Baltimore on Monday, and he threw a bullpen session prior to the Astros' win over the Orioles. Prior to joining the team in Baltimore, he made two rehab appearances with Low-A Fayetteville last week before his scheduled move up the ladder to Sugar Land. The right-hander will get a few more rehab outings with the Skeeters, but he will first need to undergo quarantine for five days upon arrival. Pruitt has received only one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. He's expected to pitch Sunday after clearing the quarantine period.
