Mejia was recalled by Cleveland ahead of Monday's start against the Astros.

Mejia made one start for Triple-A Columbus after he was sent down prior to the All-Star break, and he gave up seven runs on four hits and three walks while striking out two in 2.2 innings. The right-hander has given up six runs in each of his last two major-league appearances, but he'll return to the mound for the series opener in Houston.

Lopez is in line to start the second game of Monday's doubleheader against the Twins, Vinnie Duber of NBC Sports Chicago reports.

Lopez may not be asked to pitch deep into the game, as the White Sox have a well-rested bullpen following strong starts by Lucas Giolito and Carlos Rodon over the weekend. Lance Lynn will pitch in the early game Monday, which shouldn't tax the bullpen much if he continues the All-Star form he's displayed throughout the year. Lopez may not be able to go deep in the game even if the White Sox need him to, as he's struggled to a 7.62 ERA and 1.90 WHIP in 10 starts for Triple-A Charlotte this season.

The Twins reinstated Coulombe (personal) from the paternity list ahead of Monday's doubleheader with the White Sox.

Reliever Beau Burrows was optioned to Triple-A St. Paul to clear a spot on the active roster for Coulombe, who was away from the team for two days to observe the birth of his second son, Thomas. Since being called up from St. Paul in late June, Coulombe has posted a 1.13 ERA and 1.00 WHIP across eight innings out of the bullpen.

Jax was recalled as expected ahead of his scheduled start against the White Sox on Monday.

Jax will start the afternoon contest, but he's merely up as the extra man for the twin bill, so he's likely to head back to the minors after his outing. The 26-year-old hasn't shown much in his first taste of the big leagues this season, struggling to an 8.66 ERA in 17.2 innings (one start and four relief appearances). He's allowed too much contact, striking out just 17.1 percent of opposing batters, and he's failed to keep that contact on the ground, generating just a 27.1 percent groundball rate.

Foster was recalled to serve as the 27th man for Monday's doubleheader against the Twins.

Foster has struggled to a 6.15 ERA in 26.1 innings at the big-league level this season. His 26.9 percent strikeout rate and 7.6 percent walk rate are both better than average, but his very low 26.7 percent groundball rate has led to an inflated 2.4 HR/9. He'll likely be limited to low-leverage opportunities during his time with the team, which might only last one day if he's sent down following the doubleheader.

Misiewicz, who fired a scoreless two-thirds of an inning during which he allowed a hit and recorded two strikeouts in a win over the Angels on Sunday, has a 1-0 record, 2.45 ERA and 0.82 WHIP across his five July appearances.

That span only covers 3.2 innings, but it's nevertheless been an encouraging stretch for the southpaw. Misiewicz boasts an impressive 38:9 K:BB across 34.1 innings, and his formidable swing-and-miss stuff (26.4 percent strikeout rate) should continue affording him hold opportunities, if not the occasional save chance.

Harvey was placed on the 7-day injured list at Triple-A St. Paul with a right forearm strain, according to TwinsDaily.com.

Harvey was DFA'd by Colorado on June 22 and later signed with Minnesota. Harvey tossed 3.1 scoreless innings during four major-league appearances with the Rockies in 2020 but did not make it into a game during his brief time in the majors this season. He'd given up six runs in three innings in four games with St. Paul before the injury.

Hernandez (1-1) allowed two runs on three hits and two walks while striking out six over four innings in a loss to the Orioles on Sunday.

Hernandez got through the first two innings without much of a sweat but had some trouble in the third. He ended up loading the bases before surrendering a two-run single to Ramon Urias. The 24-year-old got no run support from his team to potentially help erase the early deficit and was handed the loss in his first start of the year. He did show some promising stuff, as he missed plenty of bats and has 12 strikeouts over his last 7.2 innings. Hernandez owns a 4.91 ERA, 1.60 WHIP and 36:17 K:BB over 25.2 innings. There hasn't been any update from manager Brandon Hyde on if Hernandez is expected to make another start or if he'll return to his initial role in the bullpen.

Fairbanks recorded his fifth save in a win over Atlanta on Sunday, allowing a hit and recording two strikeouts over one inning.

Fairbanks closed out the comeback victory for the Rays in dominating fashion, working around a single to throw 13 of 17 pitches for strikes and notch his second save of the weekend series. The right-hander now has six straight scoreless appearances, a strong stretch that could continue earning him high-leverage opportunities.

Shaw fired a perfect ninth inning, striking out one to earn the save in the win over the Athletics on Sunday.

Shaw retired the side in the ninth inning and struck out Mitch Moreland to end the game. He doesn't normally receive save opportunities, but Emmanuel Clase and James Karinchak were unavailable after pitching the previous two games. Shaw has a 1.37 ERA and 17 strikeouts over 13.1 innings covering his last 12 appearances. For the season, he has a 2.83 ERA and a 11.3 K/9 in 41.1 innings. He is 2-for-4 in save opportunities.
