Brash (1-1) got the win during Sunday's 7-2 victory over Houston, allowing two runs on two hits and six walks with five strikeouts in 5.1 innings.

Despite the win, Brash struggled with his control and was aided by four double plays from the Seattle defense that erased four of his six walks. Houston finally got to the rookie with a two-run Michael Brantley home run in the sixth, but at that point the 23-year-old was already staked to a six-run lead. He's tentatively set to face the Royals on Saturday for his next turn.

Swanson, who fired two scoreless innings during which he allowed one hit and recorded three strikeouts in a loss to the Astros on Saturday, sports an unblemished ERA in his first three appearances of the season.

The right-hander's strong start has been an especially welcome development after a rough spring in which he posted a 10.80 ERA in five appearances. Swanson has allowed just two hits over that first trio of outings and has generated a 4:0 K:BB in the process, although he's yet to see a hold opportunity.

Manager Tony La Russa said Kelly (biceps) is throwing in the mid-90s with no discomfort and is scheduled to face live hitters this week, Vinnie Duber of NBC Sports Chicago reports.

Kelly is working out at the White Sox's extended spring training in Arizona, and he may be able to return from the injured list without a minor-league rehab assignment. Even if the 33-year-old does head to the minors, it shouldn't delay his return very long.

Jimenez (1-0) was credited with the win in a victory over the Blue Jays on Saturday, firing a perfect eighth inning in which he struck out the side.

Following an impressive 1.1 scoreless frames from Justin Grimm, Acevedo outdid his bullpen mate by mowing through the trio of Lourdes Gurriel, Matt Chapman and Zack Collins on 16 pitches. Jimenez has been close to perfect over his first four appearances, allowing just one hit while generating a 5:1 K:BB, Saturday's win and a save.

Yarbrough (groin) threw from 150 feet on flat ground Sunday and has yet to throw off a mound since being placed on the injured list last week, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The 30-year-old was expected to miss only one start after landing on the shelf April 11, but that no longer appears to be the case given he has yet to throw off a mound. Yarbrough apparently hasn't suffered a setback, and manager Kevin Cash hopes the lefty can get back on the mound within the next couple days.

Borucki (hamstring) was activated from the 10-day injured list Sunday, Ben Nicholson-Smith of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Borucki opened the season on the injured list with a strained right hamstring, but he's recently built up to 35 pitches in a simulated game and will rejoin the active roster. The 28-year-old had a 4.94 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 21:11 K:BB over 23.2 innings last year and should fill a low-leverage role out of the bullpen.

The Orioles selected Diplan's contract from Triple-A Norfolk on Sunday, Zachary Silver of MLB.com reports.

In order to open up space on the 40-man roster and 28-man active rosters for Diplan, the Orioles placed John Means (forearm) on the 60-day injured list and optioned Alexander Wells to Norfolk. Diplan will step into the bullpen as a replacement for Wells, who likely wouldn't have been available for the next couple of days after covering two innings out of the bullpen in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Yankees. Expect Diplan to work mostly in lower-leverage or mop-up spots out of the bullpen while he's with the Orioles.

Wells' demotion clears a spot on the 28-man active roster for Marcos Diplan, whose contract was selected from Norfolk in a corresponding move. The addition of Diplan gives the Orioles another fresh arm out of the bullpen after Wells was needed to cover two innings out of the bullpen in Saturday's 5-2 loss to the Yankees.

Hernandez won't start as scheduled Sunday at Detroit since the game was postponed due to inclement weather, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

The right-hander was penciled in for his second start of the campaign but will now be pushed back. Kansas City has a scheduled off day Monday, and Hernandez figures to take the mound Tuesday against Minnesota, though the Royals haven't officially announced their updated pitching plans.

Alexander won't start as scheduled Sunday against the Royals since the game was postponed due to inclement weather, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Alexander was poised to make his second start of the season Sunday, but he'll instead be pushed back to later this week. According to Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic, the left-hander is set to take the mound Tuesday against the Yankees following Monday's scheduled off day.
