Schreiber was optioned to Triple-A Worcester on Friday, Chris Cotillo of The Springfield Republican reports.

Schreiber was promoted Monday and made two appearances during the four-game series in Toronto, and he allowed one hit with one strikeout and zero walks across 2.1 scoreless frames. The 28-year-old will head back to the Triple-A level for now but could rejoin Boston later in the season.

Winder is a candidate to draw a start sometime next week, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

The Twins have several holes in their rotation, as Sonny Gray (hamstring) is on the injured list and is slated for a rehab start soon, while Bailey Ober (groin) is expected to land on the IL after exiting Thursday's start against Detroit. Winder has served as a long reliever early in the year, posting a 3.48 ERA and 0.97 WHIP in 10.1 innings over three appearances. The right-hander was a starter in the minors, and it seems likely that he'll get to prove himself as a big-league starter sometime next week.

Wells was placed on the 10-day injured list Friday with left elbow inflammation, Nathan Ruiz of The Baltimore Sun reports.

Wells was promoted from Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday and allowed two runs over 1.2 innings that same day against the Yankees, and he'll now make his way to the injured list. It's unclear how long the 25-year-old is expected to be sidelined, but since it's an elbow issue an absence beyond the 10-day minimum wouldn't be a surprise.

Baumann was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk on Friday, Zachary Silver of MLB.com reports.

Baumann has given up five earned runs with a 6:6 K:BB over 7.1 innings and will now head to the minors. Kyle Bradish, who will start in his MLB debut Friday against Boston, was called up from Norfolk in a corresponding move.

Loup earned a hold against Cleveland on Thursday, pitching a perfect inning during which he struck out two batters.

The left-hander came on in the seventh inning and struck out the first two batters he faced before getting Franmil Reyes to fly out to center field. This was Loup's eighth outing of nine without allowing an earned run, and he has yielded only one hit all season. Loup has a 0.93 ERA, 0.31 WHIP and 9:2 K:BB across 9.2 innings on the campaign.

Castro (2-0) was credited with the win Thursday against Baltimore, pitching one-third of an inning during which he allowed one hit and one walk while striking out one.

Castro didn't pitch particularly well, as he gave up a double and a walk upon entering in the fifth inning before getting a strikeout to escape a bases-loaded jam. The reliever benefitted from fortunate circumstances, however, as the Yankees scored four runs in the bottom of the frame to put him in position for a win. Castro has two victories and three holds this season while posting a 2.45 ERA, 1.36 WHIP and 6:6 K:BB across 7.1 innings.

Pressly threw off flat ground Friday while wearing a protective sleeve on his injured right knee, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Pressly has seemed to be close to a return to action for the last several days, but the Astros have yet to announce when he'll be activated from the injured list. He continues to be able to throw, but the fact that he's wearing a protective sleeve backs up the idea that he's still not 100 percent.

Staumont allowed a run on two hits in one inning, taking a blown save Thursday versus the White Sox.

Staumont allowed a pair of singles to open the eighth inning, then yielded a run on a sacrifice fly before escaping trouble. It counts as his second blown save in 10 appearances, though he's also secured two saves and a hold. The right-hander has a 4.00 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 12:4 K:BB across nine innings while sharing closing duties with Scott Barlow.

Clarke pitched a perfect inning with two strikeouts to earn the save in Thursday's extra-inning win over the White Sox.

Clarke had a three-run lead to protect in the 10th inning, and he had no trouble converting his second major-league save. The 28-year-old was utilized for the save chance because Josh Staumont and Scott Barlow had pitched in the previous two innings. Clarke has done well to begin the season with a 1.13 ERA, 0.62 WHIP and 8:0 K:BB in eight innings. He should continue to be deployed in a versatile role in the bullpen as long as his results stay strong.

Koch was designated for assignment by the Mariners on Friday.

Koch had been with the team for just over two weeks, allowing four runs in 4.1 innings of relief. He'll be removed from the 40-man roster to clear space for Mitch Haniger, who returned from the COVID-19 injured list in a corresponding move.
