Tate allowed a run on two hits and a hit batter in two-thirds of an inning, earning a hold in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Cardinals.

Tate had a 5.2-inning scoreless streak entering Tuesday, but he allowed a solo home run to Brendan Donovan in the ninth inning. The right-handed reliever didn't finish the inning, with Felix Bautista instead logging the final out to earn a save. Tate has been solid with a 2.45 ERA, 0.82 WHIP and 12:2 K:BB across 14.2 innings this season. He's added a save and four holds in 13 outings. He'll likely be the Orioles' primary closer in the near term with Jorge Lopez on the bereavement list.

Sewald saved Tuesday's 5-4 victory over Philadelphia, allowing one run on one hit with one strikeout in 1.1 innings.

Sewald got the last out of the eighth and stayed in for the ninth to record his first save of the season despite surrendering a Jean Segura solo shot. The 31-year-old has surrendered four runs through 9.1 innings this season -- all the result of two home runs -- but has permitted just five baserunners along with 10 strikeouts. Manager Scott Servais has played the matchups at the back end of his bullpen with four different relievers recording each of the teams four saves and Sewald will need to earn a defined role before he can be relied upon consistently.

Martinez (1-0) earned the win in Game 2 of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Tigers. He allowed four hits and had three strikeouts and zero walks over 5.1 scoreless innings.

The 25-year-old served as the 27th man for Tuesday's twin bill and started the nightcap, and he delivered a strong outing in his big-league debut. Martinez had a 7.45 ERA through five outings with Triple-A Las Vegas, but he allowed only four singles across 5.1 shutout frames Wednesday. The right-hander should return to the minors, but the performance could earn him another big-league opportunity later in the campaign.

Barlow earned the save, tossing a perfect ninth inning in a 6-4 win Tuesday over Kansas City.

Barlow faced the bottom three hitters in the Kansas City lineup and retired them in order. He has converted all five of his save opportunities and has not allowed a hit since April 16, pitching 7.1 innings since then. With a 1.74 ERA and 0.68 WHIP, the 26-year-old is off to a dominant start in his sophomore campaign.

Schreiber notched a save Tuesday after he pitched two perfect innings, striking out three batters in the 9-4 win over the Braves.

Schreiber entered the game in the bottom of the eighth inning when the Red Sox held a 6-4 lead, striking out one batter before returning the next inning and punching out two more on the way to his first career save. The 28-year-old has pitched 6.1 scoreless innings with a 0.47 WHIP and six strikeouts this season with the Red Sox while alternating between the big-leagues and Triple-A Worcester. His high level of production could lead to more opportunities out of the bullpen moving forward.

Bautista notched a save after he pitched one-third of an inning, striking out the only batter he faced to end Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Cardinals.

After Dillon Tate allowed a solo home run and two more batters to reach base, Bautista was called upon to face Tyler O'Neill with two outs in the ninth inning. He proceeded to strike him out on five pitches, earning his first career save. With his ability to hit triple-digits with his fastball, the 26-year-old could be in line for more high-leverage appearances moving forward. Bautista has produced a 2.13 ERA and 1.11 WHIP with 16 strikeouts over 12.2 innings this season.

Coulombe was removed from Tuesday's game against the Astros with left hip inflammation, Do-Hyoung Park of MLB.com reports.

The left-hander allowed one unearned run over one inning before exiting Tuesday's contest with the injury. He was likely to be unavailable regardless Wednesday since he threw 29 pitches and should be considered day-to-day.

Garcia was ejected from Tuesday's game against the Yankees, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

The right-hander entered with two runners on and immediately surrendered a three-run homer to Giancarlo Stanton, and he was ejected after plunking the next batter, Josh Donaldson, in an 0-1 count. Garcia could face some additional discipline should MLB determine any intent from the hit by pitch.

Faucher was optioned to Triple-A Durham on Tuesday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Faucher received his first major-league call-up Monday but spent just one day with the team, allowing five runs in his lone inning of work. Vidal Brujan was recalled to take Faucher's place on the roster.

Holmes (2-0) earned the win over Texas on Monday, retiring both batters he faced on four pitches.

After Nestor Cortes' no-hit bid ended with one out in the eighth inning, Holmes was brought in to navigate through the rest of the frame. He needed only four pitches to do so, and the Yankees put up the first (and only) run of the game in the bottom of the inning to line him up for the win. Holmes leads New York with four victories on the season, and he has registered a 15:2 K:BB along with a sparkling 0.82 ERA and 0.61 WHIP across 14.2 frames.
