Barlow saved Friday's 14-10 victory over the Rockies on Friday, striking out one in 1.1 innings.

Barlow earned his keep in the eighth inning when he induced a Brendan Rodgers flyout with the bases loaded and retired the side in order in the ninth to lock down his third save. Manager Mike Matheny notably had to pull co-closer Josh Staumont in the eighth after he loaded the bases. Barlow has received the last four Kansas City save chances. He now owns a 1.23 ERA and 0.99 WHIP through 14.2 innings.

Iglesias saved Friday's 2-0 win against the Athletics, striking out one in a 1-2-3 ninth inning.

Iglesias was tasked with protecting a 2-0 lead and retired the Athletics in order on 13 pitches. Aside from a hiccup May 1, the 32-year-old has gone 10 outings and 9.1 innings without surrendering a run and boasts a 2.13 ERA and 0.71 WHIP.

Silseth (1-0) earned the win during Friday's 2-0 victory over Oakland, allowing one hit and two walks with four strikeouts in six scoreless innings.

After posting a 1.73 ERA in 26 innings at Double-A, Silseth was called up to make his debut and impressed during six clean innings. The 21-year-old was able to escape a jam in the third thanks to a double play, and retired the final nine batters he faced. Silseth made a strong bid to remain in the rotation for the foreseeable future and would most likely start next week against Texas if he sticks in the majors.

Pivetta (1-4) allowed one run on three hits and a walk over seven innings Friday, striking out four and earning a win over Texas.

Pivetta cruised through six shutout innings with little resistance from the Rangers. He threw a wild pitch in the seventh, letting Kole Calhoun break up the shutout after he tripled earlier in the frame. The 29-year-old right-hander has allowed just one run over his last two outings after posting a brutal 7.84 ERA through his first five starts. Pivetta is expected to face the Astros at home next week.

Cordero (elbow) has advanced to throwing live batting practice, Conor Foley of The Scranton Times-Tribune reports.

Cordero is working his way back from Tommy John surgery, a procedure he underwent in March of 2021. A typical recovery timeline would have him ready to return for game action at some point near the midpoint of this season.

Sands was placed on the 7-day minor-league injured list with Triple-A St. Paul on Friday due to a left groin strain, Brandon Warne of Access Twins reports.

Sands was sent back down after serving as the extra man for Thursday's doubleheader against the Astros but promptly hit the injured list with an issue he likely picked up during his two-inning relief appearance. His expected return date is not yet clear.

Silseth's contract was selected as expected ahead of his major-league debut start against the Athletics on Friday.

The Angels have shown a willingness to push their starters very quickly, as Silseth will make his big-league debut less than a year after being drafted 321st overall in the amateur draft. He threw just 5.1 professional innings last season and will get the call after making just five starts for Double-A Rocket City this year, skipping Triple-A entirely. As you might expect for a player selected in the 11th round, Silseth doesn't come with particularly glowing scouting reports, but his 1.73 ERA and 37.4 percent strikeout rate at the Double-A level this season are both excellent marks.

Oller appears set to start one half of Saturday's doubleheader against the Angels, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

The Athletics have yet to officially announce their plans for the twin bill, but Oller was spotted with the team Friday and Oakland has a gap in the rotation, so it looks as though he's about to be called up. Oller, who was acquired from the Mets in the Chris Bassitt trade in March, opened the season in the rotation but was demoted after giving up 13 runs (12 earned) in 9.2 innings across his first three starts.

Puk (1-0) was credited with the win in a victory over the Tigers on Thursday, allowing a hit and recording a strikeout over two scoreless innings.

The big left-hander's successful run as a reliever continued in fine fashion Thursday, with Puk's pair of scoreless frames lowering his ERA to 0.60. After a disappointing 2021 at both the Triple-A and big-league levels, he appears to have found his groove in the bullpen thanks in no small part to greatly improved control and a career-best 1.8 BB/9.

Martinez was returned to Triple-A Sugar Land on Friday, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Martinez served as the 27th man in Thursday's game against the Twins, and he struck out three in 1.2 scoreless innings. He's posted a 4.15 ERA in 8.2 innings over eight appearances for Sugar Land this season.
