Lopez allowed an unearned run on one hit in 1.1 innings, earning the save in a 4-2 win over the Red Sox in the second game of Saturday's doubleheader.

Lopez got the final out of the eighth inning without trouble. He stayed in for the ninth, where two batters got aboard before he ended the threat with a run-scoring fielder's choice and a double play. This was Lopez's second save in his last three appearances after he went a month between successful conversions. The 29-year-old right-hander is 6-for-8 in save opportunities with a 1.16 ERA, 1.07 WHIP and 22:13 K:BB across 23.1 innings this season. He's also posted a 3-2 record, and he's yet to give up a home run in 21 outings.

Akin (1-1) took the loss in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader versus the Red Sox. He allowed two runs on two hits and a walk with one strikeout in 2.1 innings.

Akin provided some length after a 4.1-inning start from Jordan Lyles. The Red Sox were able to get to Akin, with Bobby Dalbec hammering a sixth-inning solo home run while Christian Arroyo added an RBI single in the seventh. This was just the third time in 13 outings Akin's allowed runs, though he's given up a pair in each of those appearances. He's at a solid 1.71 ERA, 0.85 WHIP and 29:9 K:BB in 31.2 innings overall, working exclusively in a multi-inning bullpen role.

Poche threw a perfect ninth inning Saturday to earn the save in a 3-1 win over the Yankees.

Poche got Joey Gallo to pop up and then induced groundouts from DJ LeMahieu and Aaron Judge, escaping the inning in 13 pitches. After starting the year well, Poche has received and converted the Rays' last two save opportunities. He's posted a 1.20 ERA, 0.73 WHIP and 12:3 K:BB while adding seven holds in 16 appearances spanning 15 innings. It's unclear if he'll continue to get ninth-inning looks over Brooks Raley, but Poche is firmly in the high-leverage mix.

Tapia is expected to be called up from Triple-A Las Vegas on Sunday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Tapia was claimed by the Athletics in late April after he was designated for assignment by the Royals, producing a 3.24 ERA with eight strikeouts over 8.1 innings while pitching in eight games with Las Vegas so far this season. The right-hander last pitched in the major-leagues last season, registering a 2.67 ERA and 1.19 WHIP with 26 strikeouts over 33.2 frames with the Mariners and Royals. He may be able to hold onto a bullpen spot with the Athletics after Justin Grimm was designated for assignment Saturday.

Reyes was optioned to Triple-A Norfolk following his start Thursday versus the Red Sox, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Reyes pitched 3.2 innings, surrendering one run on four hits and a walk while striking out one in the Game 2 win over the Red Sox in Saturday's doubleheader. He pitched well but not long enough to qualify for the win and he is now returning to Triple-A. Reyes has produced 6.2 frames of one-run ball with the Orioles this season, striking out three batters in those innings. He'll remain a top option for the team to call up when in need of an extra arm.

Clase allowed two hits and a walk while striking out two in one inning during Saturday's 8-1 win over the Tigers.

The Guardians haven't been on the right side of close results often lately, which has led to Clase pitching just four times in two weeks since his last save (May 14). The closer has given up one run in those four appearances while adding six strikeouts. For the season, he has a solid 2.60 ERA, 1.04 WHIP, 18:4 K:BB, a 1-2 record and seven saves in nine opportunities across 17.1 innings.

Bachman exited his start for Double-A Rocket City on Saturday due to back spasms, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.

Bachman is merely considered day-to-day for now. Through four starts for Rocket City this season, he owns a 1.98 ERA, but his 8:8 K:BB hardly suggests that performance is anything close to sustainable.

Garcia left Friday's Triple-A contest with two outs in the second inning after losing feeling in his fingers, Conor Foley of The Scranton Times-Tribune reports.

The organization has yet to release an update on Garcia's status, so it's unclear if he suffered an injury or was removed for precautionary reasons. Before his exit, the right-hander allowed three runs and five hits -- all in the second inning -- and didn't walk or strike out any batters. Garcia has struggled in the minors this season, posting a 10.38 ERA, 2.26 WHIP and 18:16 K:BB across 21.2 innings.

Giles (finger) began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Tacoma on Saturday.

Giles injured a tendon in his right middle finger shortly before the start of the regular season, delaying his return from Tommy John surgery. He'll pitch in an official game for the first time in over 20 months when he first appears for Tacoma, though he'll likely need more than just an outing or two before he's activated from the injured list given the length of his absence.

Pruitt's contract was selected by the Athletics on Saturday.

Pruitt joined the Athletics on a minor-league deal in March, and he posted a 3.27 ERA and 0.95 WHIP in 22 innings over 12 relief appearances at Triple-A Las Vegas to begin the year. The right-hander made just six major-league appearances between the Marlins and Astros last year, and he should serve mainly as a low-leverage reliever in Oakland.
