Pagan is apparently unvaccinated and is unable to enter Canada as the Twins take on the Blue Jays for a three-game series this weekend. The 31-year-old should be back with the team for the subsequent series against the Yankees, which begins Tuesday. Rookie Jhoan Duran should operate as Minnesota's top option for save chances in the meantime.

Abreu was traded from the Rangers to the Royals in exchange for Yohanse Morel on Thursday.

Abreu was designated for assignment Monday, but he'll get a new opportunity in Kansas City. If he hopes to stick with his new club, Abreu will have to improve his ability to find the strike zone, as he has walked 12 batters across 8.2 innings for the season and has a 15.8 percent walk rate in his big-league career.

Hearn (3-4) allowed three earned runs on six hits and four walks while striking out three across four innings to take the loss Thursday against the Rays.

Hearn labored through the third inning as he walked three and allowed two hits to account for two of his three earned runs. He's been inconsistent in his ability to work deep into games, as he's now failed to record at least 15 outs in three of his last four starts. That gives Hearn little margin for error when it comes to his ratio stats, and he now owns a 5.48 ERA across 10 starts for the campaign.

Mayers cleared waivers and accepted an outright assignment to Triple-A Salt Lake on Thursday, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.

Mayers was designated for assignment by the Angels on May 26, but he'll remain in the organization. He struggled to a 5.40 ERA and 1.44 WHIP across 16.2 innings to begin the campaign, though it's possible he rejoins the big-league club at some point in the coming months.

Krehbiel exited Thursday's game against the Mariners with right shoulder discomfort, Dan Connolly of The Athletic reports.

Krehbiel entered the game in the seventh inning but was only able to face two batters before exiting. It's unclear how serious the issue is, though there should be some level of concern given that the injury is to his throwing arm. Krehbiel had maintained a 2.74 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and a 16:7 K:BB across 23 frames prior to this appearance.

Peralta allowed one walk and struck out two across 1.1 scoreless innings to earn the save in the first game of Thursday's doubleheader against the Angels.

Peralta entered the game with a five-run lead but with the bases loaded. He retired Jared Walsh to end the threat and closed out the final frame without incident. It was Peralta's first save of the season, and he doesn't figure to find himself in the closer role often with both Aroldis Chapman (Achilles) and Clay Holmes occupying the ninth inning. Even so, Peralta has had an effective start to the campaign by maintaining a 2.08 ERA and 11:6 K:BB across 17.1 frames.

Lange (3-1) pitched a scoreless inning of relief and earned the win Thursday against the Twins. He walked two and struck out one.

Lange was able to work around the two walks to tally his 10th scoreless appearance across his past 11 outings. The righty has been a bright spot for the 21-30 Tigers, as he now has a 1.74 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 26 strikeouts across 20.2 innings this season. Gregory Soto has also pitched well and seems decently secure in the closer role, but Lange should continue to see high-leverage work.

Soto pitched a scoreless ninth inning to record the save in Thursday's win over the Twins.

Soto has now closed out wins over Minnesota in his last two appearances, and he's up to 10 saves in 11 chances this season. The lefty has also lowered his ERA to 2.04, and it looks like he's increasing his job security in the closer role after a few rough outings in early May.
