King earned a hold against Tampa Bay on Tuesday, pitching 1.1 scoreless innings during which he allowed one walk and struck out two batters.

King's control was a bit shaky -- half of his 24 pitches were balls -- but he racked up seven swinging strikes and didn't allow any hits. The right-hander preserved a narrow lead during his time on the mound to pick up his team-leading ninth hold. King has thrived in a variety of roles for New York this season, adding three wins and a save to his holds tally and posting a 2.62 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 46:8 K:BB across 34.1 innings.

Winckowski was recalled from Triple-A Worcester ahead of Wednesday's start against the Athletics.

Winckowski didn't fare particularly well during his major-league debut in late May, as he allowed four runs on six hits and three walks while striking out four in three innings to take the loss against the Orioles. However, he'll make his second career start for the Red Sox at home against the Athletics during Wednesday's matchup.

Oller has allowed an earned run on five hits and two walks over four innings across two appearances since his promotion from Triple-A Las Vegas on Thursday.

Oller was demoted to the Aviators on May 16 after posting an 0-3 record, 12.27 ERA and 2.18 WHIP across four starts with the Athletics. The young right-hander appears to have worked out some kinks on the farm, however, as he's put together some quality multi-inning work in his first two appearances since being recalled. Despite the encouraging early returns, Oller is almost certainly going to remain in a low-leverage role for the foreseeable future.

The Orioles designated Lowther for assignment Wednesday, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

The transaction frees up a spot on the 40-man roster for infielder Jonathan Arauz, whom the Orioles claimed off waivers from the Red Sox on Wednesday. Lowther was optioned to Norfolk on June 1, one day after he gave up six runs (five earned) across 5.1 innings of long relief in his lone appearance of the season with the big club.

The Twins optioned Moran to Triple-A St. Paul on Wednesday.

The transaction clears room on the 26-man active roster for right-hander Sonny Gray (pectoral), who was activated from the 15-day injured list in advance of his scheduled start Wednesday in Seattle. During his two-and-a-half-week-long stay with the big club, Moran made five appearances in relief and collected one save while striking out 10 in 7.2 innings and giving up two earned runs on five hits and seven walks.

Shaw (2-0) walked one and struck out one in a scoreless inning, earning the win Tuesday versus the Rockies.

Shaw pitched the ninth inning with the game tied 3-3, and he kept it that way. The 34-year-old then ended up in line for the win when the Guardians pulled ahead in the 10th inning, and Emmanuel Clase was able to protect the one-run lead. Shaw's scoreless streak is up to 7.2 innings in his last nine appearances. He's allowed four hits and five walks with 10 strikeouts in that span. For the season, the veteran reliever has a 3.54 ERA, 1.28 WHIP, 17:10 K:BB and three holds through 20.1 innings.

Tate allowed two hits and struck out two in a scoreless inning to earn a hold in Tuesday's 6-5 win over the Blue Jays.

Tate is up to nine holds on the season, and he's earned three of them through five appearances in June. The right-hander worked the seventh inning Tuesday, and he's only allowed three runs (one earned) in 11 innings across his last 10 outings. Overall, the 28-year-old owns a 1.78 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, 24:5 K:BB, one save and an 0-2 record through 30.1 innings as a steady high-leverage arm for the Orioles.

White Sox manager Tony La Russa suggested that Graveman will get the opportunity to serve as the team's closer if a save situation arises in Wednesday's game against the Tigers, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

After All-Star closer Liam Hendriks (forearm) was placed on the 15-day injured list Tuesday, Graveman went unused in the White Sox's 5-1 win, but he might not have been available after pitching three of the past four days. The White Sox didn't have a save situation materialize anyway Tuesday, but Graveman will be good to go Wednesday and should be ready to close if needed. Joe Kelly (hamstring) returned from the IL on Tuesday and struck out two over a scoreless frame and could also factor into the closer conversation while Hendriks is sidelined, but the White Sox will stay away from using Kelly on back-to-back days initially.

Miller is listed as the Rangers' starting pitcher for Wednesday's game against the Astros in Arlington.

Before he was called up to the big leagues last Friday, Miller started in four of his 12 appearances at Triple-A Round Rock, striking out 50 over 37.2 innings but struggling in the ratio categories (5.02 ERA, 1.56). The same day as his promotion, Miller made his Rangers debut in long relief and ceded one earned run over 2.1 innings. With Glenn Otto (illness) on the COVID-19-related injured list, Miller will now get the chance to enter the rotation, but the Rangers aren't likely to let the right-hander work much more than four or five innings Wednesday.

Clase pitched a clean 10th inning with no strikeouts to pick up his 12th save of the year in a 4-3, extra-inning win over the Rockies on Tuesday.

Clase was brought in to close out the game in the 10th inning, after the Guardians went ahead on a Jose Ramirez RBI double. Clase continues to motor along as the Guardians' closer and has now converted his last five save opportunities dating back to May 14. He boasts a 10.3 K/9 rate and sports a 1.90 xFIP to back up his excellent 1.78 ERA.
