Canterino, who has been on Double-A Wichita's 7-day injured list since June 8 with a right elbow strain, is scheduled to resume a throwing program this week at the Twins' spring training site in Fort Myers, Fla., Darren Wolfson of Channel 5 Saint Paul reports.

Canterino was cleared to resume throwing after meeting with renowned arm specialist Dr. Keith Meister a few days earlier. The right-hander was previously shut down in mid-August of last season with a strained elbow, so the Twins will more than likely have the 24-year-old build back up slowly in Florida. Canterino submitted a 1.83 ERA, 1.14 WHIP and 50:22 K:BB across 34.1 innings for Wichita prior to landing on the shelf.

King (5-1) allowed no hits and a walk while striking out one in a scoreless 10th inning to earn the win over the Astros on Sunday.

King gave up a run during Saturday's relief appearance against Houston, but he bounced back by holding the Astros scoreless in the top of the 10th inning to pick up his fifth win of the season in Sunday's series finale. The right-hander has held the opposition scoreless in nine of 10 appearances since the start of June and has posted a 0.79 ERA and 0.71 WHIP in 11.1 innings while picking up three wins and five holds during that time.

The Twins plan to call up Winder from Triple-A St. Paul to start one game of Tuesday's doubleheader with the Guardians in Cleveland, Dan Hayes of The Athletic reports.

Manager Rocco Baldelli has yet to decide whether Winder will be deployed as the starter for the first game or second game, but the rookie and Devin Smeltzer are set to take the hill in some order. Winder will be making his fourth start and eight appearance for the Twins after turning in a 3.68 ERA, 1.23 WHIP and 23:9 K:BB in 29.1 innings across his first seven big-league outings.

Graveman earned the save in Sunday's win over Baltimore, striking out two and allowing two unearned runs on a hit and a walk in the ninth inning.

Jose Abreu made errors on consecutive plays to begin the ninth inning for Graveman. The 31-year-old then allowed a four-pitch walk and an RBI single as Baltimore made it a 4-2 game with no outs and the bases loaded. With things looking grave, he managed to strike out two of the final three batters he faced and get another out with a sacrifice fly. It was his first save since May 10. Since Liam Hendriks (forearm) went on the injured list on June 14, the White Sox have had only one other save opportunity, and Joe Kelly closed that ballgame.

Raley picked up the save in Sunday's 4-2 win over Pittsburgh, striking out one and allowing a walk in the ninth inning.

Raley converted the rare save opportunity, pitching around a two-out walk to secure the victory. The lefty was called upon to close out a game for the first time since May 11. The Rays have spread around save chances this season with Colin Poche receiving the bulk of the opportunities of late. With four saves, Raley is now one behind both Poche and Andrew Kittredge for the team lead. It seems likely that he'll get the occasional save opportunity, though Sunday's chance had more to do with two left-handed hitting batters coming to the plate in the ninth than a changing of the guard.

Wantz was ejected during the second inning of Sunday's game against the Mariners after hitting Jesse Winker with a pitch, which incited a benches-clearing brawl, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

The right-hander served as the opener Sunday and threw a pitch behind Julio Rodriguez during the opening frame, and he followed up by plunking Winker on the first pitch of the second inning, which prompted a fight that resulted in six players and both managers being ejected. Wantz is likely to face a suspension.

Garcia (finger) faced live hitters at the Yankees' player development complex earlier this week, and pitching coach Matt Blake stated that the pitcher is getting a "reset" physically, Brendan Kuty of NJ Advance Media reports.

Garcia was placed on the 7-day minor-league injured list with a finger injury May 31, but that issue no longer appears to be bothering him. Instead, Blake suggested that the organization is keeping Garcia at the team's complex in order to help him figure things out after a tough start to his season. "They just wanted to pull him out and let him get a little bit of a reset physically," Blake told NJ Advance Media on Wednesday. "Seems like he's in an OK spot mentally and physically, but I do think they're just trying to rework where they're at with him because he had been struggling a little bit." Garcia has posted a 10.38 ERA and 2.26 WHIP over seven starts with Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on the campaign.

Mayers appears to be transitioning into a starter with Triple-A Salt Lake, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.

Mayers has started each of the three games in which he has pitched since returning to the minors after being designated for assignment by the Angels on May 26. The right-hander has struggled in that role so far, allowing nine runs and posting an 8:8 K:BB over just 7.2 innings through the three starts. Mayers worked out of the bullpen in each of his 15 games with the big-league club before his demotion, compiling a 5.40 ERA and 1.44 WHIP over 16.2 innings.

Wantz is listed as the Angels' starting pitcher for Sunday's game against the Mariners and is expected to be deployed as an opener, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Though he'll be credited with his first career big-league start, Wantz is likely to be pulled before Seattle's lineup turns over and is unlikely to factor into any decision. Instead, Jose Suarez, who was recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake earlier Sunday, is the better bet to cover most of the innings for the Angels in the series finale. Wantz hasn't worked more than 2.1 innings in any of his 11 appearances with the Angels this season.

Murfee secured his second hold in Saturday's win over the Angels, getting one out on a four-pitch strikeout to close out the sixth inning.

The Angels' Taylor Ward seemingly never knew what hit him, as Murfee came back from a first-pitch ball to retire the outfielder on three straight pitches, the final one a slider he induced a swinging third strike on. Except for a rare hiccup against the Twins on June 15 when he allowed three earned runs over two-thirds of an inning, Murfee has been an ultra-reliable asset for manager Scott Servais -- he lowered his ERA and WHIP to 1.63 and 0.80, respectively, with his fourth straight scoreless effort Saturday.
