Warren (triceps) walked two batters in a scoreless inning during his rehab appearance Tuesday with Triple-A Salt Lake.

Warren went on the 15-day injured list June 18 with the left triceps strain, so he'll likely need only one more rehab appearance, at most, before being deemed ready to rejoin the Angels. The 26-year-old has turned in a 3.97 ERA and 1.50 WHIP across his nine relief appearances with the big club this season.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said he's "probably leaning more towards Friday" for activating Chapman (Achilles) from the 15-day injured list, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Chapman was sharp Tuesday in what was likely his third and final rehab appearance in the minors. After making a couple outings with Double-A Somerset, he moved up to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and struck out two over a scoreless inning with the club. With Boone noting earlier in the week that Clay Holmes has proven worthy of the closer's role based on how he's performed while Chapman has been out, Laura Albanese of Newsday suggests that Chapman could be eased back into the Yankees' late-inning mix with some lower-leverage opportunities in his initial relief appearances upon coming off the IL.

Athletics manager Mark Kotsay said Martinez will be called up from Triple-A Las Vegas to start Thursday's game against the Mariners in Seattle, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

The 25-year-old right-hander will be entering the rotation as a replacement for Jared Koenig, who was optioned to Triple-A over the weekend. Martinez has delivered a strong 18.1 K-BB% over 13 starts for Las Vegas this season, but pitching in the hitter-friendly Pacific Coast League has likely played a part in him turning in an underwhelming 5.63 ERA and 1.41 WHIP. He'll be getting the call to Oakland for the second time this season after he tossed 5.1 scoreless frames in a winning effort May 10 against the Tigers in his MLB debut.

Weber's contract was selected from Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Wednesday.

Weber rejoined the Yankees on a minor-league deal last week and tossed 3.1 scoreless innings at Scranton/Wilkes-Barre on Friday. He allowed a run on two hits and no walks while striking out one in 3.2 innings during his first big-league appearance of the season and should serve as a low-leverage reliever now that he's back on the active roster.

Beeks is scheduled to serve as the Rays' opening pitcher for Wednesday's game against the Brewers, Bally Sports Sun reports.

Beeks is pitching on three days' rest and hasn't tossed more than 2.1 innings or 43 pitches in any of his 19 appearances this season, so he won't be in line for a traditional start. Wednesday had been Jeffrey Springs' day to pitch, so he'll likely be the top candidate to serve as a bulk reliever behind Beeks, if the Rays decide to go that route.

Heasley (1-4) gave up seven earned runs on nine hits and two walks while striking out three over 3.2 innings to take the loss in an 8-3 defeat to the Rangers on Tuesday.

Heasley had his worst start of the year at the hands of the Rangers, which chased him from the game before the end of the fourth inning. The 25-year-old rookie only mustered six swings-and-misses over the course of his start and was taken deep by Marcus Semien for a three-run shot in the third. The Royals' No. 8 prospect is unlikely to earn many wins this season due to his inflated 5.20 ERA and weak supporting offensive cast, which is now without slugger Salvador Perez (thumb). Heasley is tentatively slated for a tough matchup in his next start Monday at Houston.

Silseth allowed three runs on five hits and struck out six over 4.1 innings in a no-decision versus the White Sox.

Silseth cruised through four innings but ran into trouble in the fifth. He exited after giving up a game-tying two-run home run to Josh Harrison. Long balls were a problem during Silseth's previous stint in the majors, and he's now given up five homers in 20.2 innings. The rookie right-hander has a 5.23 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 17:7 K:BB in five major-league starts. It's unclear if he'll get another turn -- if he does, he lines up to start in Miami next week. The Angels could opt to take advantage of off days Thursday and Monday to temporarily switch to a five-man rotation.

Perez (4-1) allowed a run on one hit and struck out two in two-thirds of an inning, taking the loss Tuesday versus the Mariners.

Perez put J.P. Crawford aboard with two outs in the eighth inning. Felix Bautista then gave up a pair of hits, allowing two runs to score, with the decisive one going on Perez's line for his first loss of the year. This is just the fourth time in 29 appearances the southpaw has been charged with a run, and he still has a steady 1.52 ERA despite a 1.48 WHIP and 23:11 K:BB across 23.2 innings. Perez has added a save and nine holds as a high-leverage option for the Orioles this year.

Sewald struck out two in a perfect inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 2-0 win over the Orioles.

Sewald has converted three saves in a row, and he's gone four innings since he last allowed a baserunner. He's now 7-for-9 in saves while adding four holds, a 3-2 record, 2.60 ERA, 0.72 WHIP and 28:7 K:BB through 27.2 innings. The 32-year-old is pitching like a relief ace, though manager Scott Servais is known to employ a committee approach in the late innings.

Holmes allowed an unearned run on two hits and zero walks during the ninth inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 2-1 win over the A's. He struck out two batters.

Holmes struck out the first two batters he faced, but a catcher's interference and two singles brought home a run before he was able to record the final out. It was still a successful save for the right-hander, who is 13-for-14 in save chances and has a 0.50 ERA, 0.76 WHIP and 38:5 K:BB across 35.2 innings this season. Aroldis Chapman (Achilles) has made multiple rehab appearances and is closing in on his return from the injured list, but Holmes' success could result in continued save chances even once Chapman is reinstated.
