Pilkington (1-1) took the loss in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Twins, giving up four runs on eight hits and three walks over 4.1 innings as the Guardians were downed 6-0. He struck out four.

The young southpaw navigated through traffic on the basepaths in the first couple innings, but the wheels came off for Pilkington in the third as a Luis Arraez triple and a two-run blast by Jorge Polanco gave Minnesota all the offense it would need. Pilkington is expected to head back to Triple-A Columbus after the twin bill, and through his first six big-league starts the rookie carries a 5.13 ERA, 1.90 WHIP and 27:17 K:BB over 26.1 innings.

Winder (3-2) picked up the win in the second game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Guardians, allowing four hits and a walk over six scoreless innings in a 6-0 victory. He struck out one.

Recalled from Triple-A St. Paul prior to the twin bill, the right-hander kept Cleveland's bats in check aside from a pair of doubles by Oscar Gonzalez. With the rest of the Minnesota rotation pitching well right now, there's no room for Winder to stick around, but he's proving this season he could be an important part of the Twins' staff down the road. Through his first four big-league starts, Winder has a 1.27 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 18:5 K:BB over 21.1 innings.

Hendriks (forearm) is scheduled to throw a simulated game Friday, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Hendriks felt good after a bullpen session Monday and will now progress to facing live hitters for the first time since landing on the injured list two weeks ago. Manager Tony La Russa hopes the right-hander will be able to be activated during the White Sox's upcoming homestand, which begins Monday against the Twins. In the meantime, Kendall Graveman should continue to fill in as Chicago's closer.

Patino (oblique) struck out seven over five innings and allowed two runs on six hits and no walks in his most recent rehab start Sunday for Triple-A Durham.

Aside from two wild pitches, Patino was supremely efficient in Sunday's outing, the fifth overall of his rehab start. He tossed 57 of his 78 pitches for strikes, and at this point, Patino looks to be fully stretched out for starting duty. The Rays have yet to declare their plans for Patino, but the big club will have a need for an extra starter this week with a doubleheader on tap Saturday in Toronto. Patino has been on the 60-day injured list since April 12 due to an oblique strain, which he suffered in his first appearance of the season.

Silseth was recalled from Double-A Rocket City and will start Tuesday's game against the White Sox.

Silseth saw his first big-league action from mid-May to early June before being sent back to the minors, but he'll rejoin the Angels' starting rotation Tuesday versus Chicago. The 22-year-old delivered six scoreless frames during his MLB debut but struggled over the three subsequent outings with a 7.84 ERA and 7:5 K:BB across 10.1 innings.

The Blue Jays announced Tuesday that Pearson (lat) will be shut down for 3-to-4 weeks before he's re-evaluated, Keegan Matheson of MLB.com reports.

If Pearson's strained right lat has healed as well as the Blue Jays hope once he's re-evaluated, he'll be cleared to begin a throwing program. Even if Pearson remains free of setbacks and if the Blue Jays choose to have him prepare for a relief role upon his return, he'll still likely need at least an additional two weeks after being re-evaluated before being ready for game action. With that in mind, Pearson probably shouldn't be expected to come off the 60-day injured list until around the middle of August at the soonest, and a September return is likely more realistic.

Clase recorded his 18th save of the season Tuesday in the first game of a doubleheader against the Twins, striking out two in a scoreless ninth inning.

The Cleveland closer fired 10 of 12 pitches for strikes in another dominant performance, with five of his pitches hitting triple digits on the radar gun, but there was still a little drama thanks to a third-strike wild pitch to Nick Gordon and then an Owen Miller error with two outs. Clase hasn't blown a save since May 9, converting 12 straight opportunities and posting a 0.47 ERA, 0.63 WHIP and 24:1 K:BB through 19 innings over that nearly flawless stretch.

The Red Sox selected Bracho's contract from Triple-A Worcester prior to Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays.

The Red Sox are shorthanded for this series in Toronto, so Bracho will likely be sent back to Worcester once this series is over. He has a 3.16 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 36 strikeouts in 31.1 innings in the minors this season.

Pagan (1-3) took the loss in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Guardians, giving up two runs on a hit and two walks without recording an out as the Twins fell 3-2.

The right-hander entered the game to protect a 2-1 lead in the eighth inning, but Pagan walked the first two batters he faced and advanced them both on a wild pitch before Amed Rosario cashed them in with a single. It's noteworthy that Pagan wasn't held back for a potential save situation in the ninth, instead getting the call to face the top of Cleveland's order in the eighth, and given that he's allowed multiple runs in three of his last four appearances while converting just 9-of-14 save chances on the season, time could be running out on his stint as the Twins' closer.

Smeltzer didn't factor into the decision in the first game of Tuesday's doubleheader against the Guardians, allowing one run on four hits over six innings. He struck out nine without walking a batter.

The southpaw established a new season high in strikeouts as he tossed 63 of 95 pitches for strikes, but Smeltzer had to settle for a no-decision as the Twins didn't get on the board until the seventh inning in an eventual 3-2 loss. The quality start was Smeltzer's fifth in nine big-league outings this season, and he sports a 2.86 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 31:11 K:BB through 50.1 innings.
