Foster was optioned to Triple-A Charlotte on Monday.

Foster made five relief appearances for the White Sox in August and posted a 1.80 ERA and 1.60 WHIP in five innings. The right-hander had been with the major-league club since the start of the regular season but will head to the minors after Vince Velasquez (finger) was reinstated from the injured list Monday.

Brash (3-4) took the loss against the Rangers on Sunday, allowing two earned runs on two hits and a wild pitch over two-thirds of an inning.

Brash's control has been one of his Achilles heels thus far in his professional career, and that surfaced somewhat again Sunday. Entrusted with preserving a 3-3 tie when he entered in the seventh, Brash retired Josh Smith and Marcus Semien to open the frame before surrendering a double to Corey Seager, advancing him to third on a wild pitch and subsequently conceding an RBI single to Adolis Garcia. He was also charged post-exit with the run Garcia scored on the double Erik Swanson surrendered to Nathaniel Lowe, making it the first time Brash had given up multiple earned runs in an outing since his May 4 against the Astros.

Karinchak was reinstated from the restricted list Monday, Mandy Bell of MLB.com reports.

Karinchak will return to the team after missing the three-game series versus the Blue Jays while on the restricted list. The reliever has produced a 1.72 ERA and 1.02 WHIP with 28 strikeouts over 15.2 innings in 14 appearances since joining the big-league roster July 3.

Curry was called up from Triple-A Columbus on Monday, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Curry is set to make his major-league debut Monday, facing the Tigers in Game 2 of a doubleheader. The 24-year-old has produced a 3.09 ERA and 1.09 WHIP with 33 strikeouts over 32 innings in six starts with Columbus this season. Curry will likely return to Triple-A following Monday's outing.

Yarborough will enter the game after opener Jalen Beeks on Monday against the Yankees, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Yarbrough will follow Beeks for the second time in August after he pitched four innings of one-run ball versus the Blue Jays on Aug. 2. Yarbrough last faced the Yankees on May 26, allowing three runs (two earned) on two hits and a walk while striking out five in a loss.

Beeks will start Monday's contest versus the Yankees, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Beeks will operate as the opener Monday before Ryan Yarbrough enters the game as the primary pitcher. Beeks has allowed one run over six innings in five appearances since returning from the 15-day injured list July 30.

Winckowski will move to the bullpen and piggyback Rich Hill in Wednesday's game against the Pirates, Chris Cotillo of MassLive.com reports.

Hill's spot in the rotation is shaky after a couple of troubling outings off the injured list -- eight runs allowed over seven innings -- but he'll stick in the rotation for at least one more start. With Michael Wacha returning Sunday, the rotation is at full strength, which means Winckowski can serve as a bulk reliever for now.

Leclerc struck out one over a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save in Sunday's 5-3 win over the Mariners.

Rangers closer Jonathan Hernandez was seemingly unavailable after throwing two straight days and three of the last four, opening the door for Leclerc to pick up his first save since 2020. He's pitched well since returning from the break, posting a 1.88 ERA over 10 games (14.1 IP), which earned him a promotion to high-leverage work and put him in line for a spot save opportunity.

Pressly (neck) picked up the save in Sunday's 6-3 victory over the Athletics, allowing no runs on one hit while striking out none and walking none over two-thirds of an inning.

Pressly needed just six pitches to get the save, his 23rd of the season. He is 2-for-2 in chances this month. The righty has not allowed an earned run in his last four appearances, and has allowed just two earned runs in his last 12.2 innings pitched. His ERA now sits at 2.86 to go along with 43 strikeouts and a 0.95 WHIP.

Castro (shoulder) has begun to play catch and is expected to return to the Yankees' bullpen in September, per MLB.com.

Castro has been out of action action since July 10, and he's not eligible to return from the 60-day IL until mid-September. The right-hander will likely need significant time to ramp up once he's able to start throwing from a mound, but he should be able to return to the Yankees for the stretch run. Castro posted a 4.00 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 30:13 K:BB over 27 innings while collecting five wins and eight holds prior to going down with the injury.
