Jimenez earned the save Sunday in Texas, striking out one in two-thirds of an inning in a 9-8 victory.

Jimenez entered the game with one out and a runner on first after the Rangers scored three runs off Gregory Soto to get within a run of the Tigers. Jimenez struck out Adolis Garcia and retired the next batter to end the game. It was his second save of the season and first since July 4. With Soto struggling, Jimenez may receive the occasional save chance over the last part of the season.

Mata was promoted to Triple-A Worcester on Sunday, Christopher Smith of The Springfield Republican reports.

Mata missed the 2021 season due to Tommy John surgery and spent the start of this year continuing to recover. However, he performed well after being activated at Double-A Portland, posting a 1.85 ERA and 1.20 WHIP in 48.2 innings over 10 appearances (nine starts). He's expected to make his first start at Worcester sometime this week.

Voth (4-2) took the loss Sunday in Houston, allowing a run on a hit and three walks while striking out four in six innings.

Voth allowed a leadoff double to David Hensley in the third but otherwise kept Houston's bats silent. He faced two batters over the minimum through the first six frames thanks to two double-play groundballs. He was removed after a walk to begin the seventh, and that runner later came around to score. It was the second time in three starts that Voth pitched six innings and allowed one run or fewer without recording a win. Since the All-Star break, he has a 2.25 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 28:12 K:BB in 36 innings across seven starts. His next start will likely be next weekend against Toronto.

Davidson did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing one run on three hits and five walks over four innings in an 8-3 win over the Blue Jays. He struck out five.

The only damage on the scoreboard against Davidson came on a Matt Chapman double in the fourth inning, but Davidson was all over the place as he allowed five walks on the day. In fact, he was pulled from the game after allowing a walk in the fifth inning. This was his second effort with five walks this season, and he has failed to record fewer than two in any single start. The southpaw will look to find his command in his next start, which is scheduled for next weekend against Houston.

Holmes (back) threw live batting practice Friday, per MLB.com.

This is another step toward a minimum stay on the IL for Holmes, who had previously played catch and tossed from a mound. The right-hander is eligible to be activated Monday and could very well return to the active roster on that day. Manager Aaron Boone was pleased with Holmes' live session, stating, "Today, it was just a live BP, but stuff-wise, it was there, velocity was there, movement quality was there, and he was strike-throwing."

Athletics manager Mark Kotsay said Saturday that Logue has been moved to the bullpen, Matt Kawahara of the San Francisco Chronicle reports.

Logue had been lined up to start Sunday's game against the Yankees, but Adrian Martinez was instead recalled from Triple-A Las Vegas to replace him in the rotation. The rookie lefty turned in poor results in his three starts since his Aug. 13 call-up from Las Vegas, going 0-3 with a 9.00 ERA and 1.47 WHIP across 15 innings. He'll likely work as a multi-inning option as he heads to the bullpen.

Banda signed a major-league contract with the Yankees on Sunday and was added to the 26-man roster.

The left-hander joined the Mariners on a minor-league deal in early August, but he recently elected free agency and has now landed a deal with the Yankees. Banda has appeared in 30 games between Pittsburgh and Toronto this year and has a 5.88 ERA, 1.88 WHIP and 29:8 K:BB across 26 innings.

Fleming (oblique) was activated from the 15-day injured list and optioned to Triple-A Durham on Sunday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

The 26-year-old made two rehab appearances with Durham and will remain with the affiliate now that he's been fully cleared of the oblique strain. Fleming has a 6.84 ERA, 1.97 WHIP and 24:11 K:BB across 26.1 innings for Tampa Bay this year and could be a rotation option down the stretch.

Martinez was called up from Triple-A Las Vegas and will start Sunday against the Yankees.

The 25-year-old was demoted to Las Vegas after giving up two runs over 4.1 innings against the Giants on Aug. 7, and he'll rejoin the A's to start in the series finale versus the Yankees. Martinez has a 6.08 ERA in the majors this year and surrendered eight runs across his two minor-league starts since facing San Francisco.

Munoz (2-5) took the loss and blown save during Saturday's 4-3 defeat at the hands of the Guardians, allowing three runs on two hits and a walk in one inning.

Munoz was selected to pitch the eighth inning of a 3-1 game and surrendered three straight baserunners followed by two productive outs to let in three runs and fall in line for the loss. Despite his first negative marks since July 28, the 23-year-old threw only one ball following a leadoff walk, though he failed to record a strikeout for the first time in 11 appearances. The poor outing raised his ERA and WHIP to 2.94 and 0.96 respectively across 52 innings and 51 appearances.
