Thielbar (oblique) threw a scoreless inning with a strikeout Tuesday for Triple-A St. Paul during a rehab assignment. He's expected to throw again Thursday for the Saints, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

It sounds like Thielbar could be activated from the injured list as early as this weekend. He had a 1.80 ERA through 11 appearances this season with Minnesota when he suffered a right oblique strain in early May. He'll bolster a struggling relief corps when he returns.

Bautista picked up the save in Tuesday's 8-5 victory over the Guardians, logging a strikeout in a perfect ninth inning.

Bautista has allowed just one run in his last 11.1 innings, lowering his ERA to 1.33 with a 1.15 WHIP and 54:17 K:BB. More importantly, he's issued just one walk in his last four appearances after struggling with command earlier in the year. Bautista has converted 14 of 18 save opportunities this season, tying him for second in the league behind Emmanuel Clase.

Anderson (1-0) earned the win Tuesday against the Tigers. He allowed a hit while striking out seven over 2.2 scoreless innings.

Anderson was dominant out of the bullpen Tuesday, striking out all but two of the batters he faced to earn a win in his major-league debut. The 25-year-old right-hander pitched to a 3.54 ERA across 28 innings between Double-A and Triple-A this season, logging 47 strikeouts in that span. While it's easy to overreact to a performance like Tuesday's, Anderson has the stuff to eventually carve out a high-leverage role in Texas' bullpen.

MRI results received Tuesday on Fairbanks' left hip revealed no structural damage, Tricia Whitaker of Bally Sports Sun reports.

It certainly is good news for Fairbanks, who landed on the injured list for the second time this season Monday due to inflammation in his left hip. Fairbanks will receive a cortisone injection in his hip and will be shut down from throwing for at least a week. Once the Rays see how Fairbanks responds to treatment, a clearer picture should emerge regarding a throwing program and return date.

Seattle recalled McCaughan from Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday.

McCaughan struggled in a brief prior stint with the Mariners and is carrying a rough 8.33 ERA in 40 innings of work this season at the Triple-A level. The 27-year-old will likely fill a mop-up role in his return to the bigs.

Then had surrendered five earned runs on eight hits and one walk over his last five innings of work with the Mariners. Darren McCaughan will take his place in the bullpen Tuesday.

The Blue Jays promoted Danner to Triple-A Buffalo on Tuesday, Sam Dykstra of MiLB.com reports.

Danner made his Double-A debut earlier in May and has recorded a 3.00 ERA and 1.22 WHIP with 16 strikeouts over nine innings. The 24-year-old reliever will likely remain in Triple-A for the rest of the year, but he could see time in the majors if he continues to mow through batters.

Green (elbow) will throw live batting practice at the Blue Jays' spring training complex in Florida on Tuesday, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.

It would appear to be his first time facing hitters since he underwent Tommy John surgery in June 2022. Green is aiming to be an option for the Blue Jays' bullpen during the second half of the season.

Howard (lat) has been sent to Triple-A Round Rock to begin a rehab assignment.

Howard has been out all season with a right lat strain but has been throwing the ball well of late at the Rangers' spring training complex, per Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News. It's not clear whether the Rangers plan to use him as a starter or reliever once he's activated.

Barlow was placed on the 15-day injured list Tuesday, retroactive to May 29, with kidney stones, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Barlow will be out for at least the next two weeks. He has allowed two earned runs on four hits and one walk in 3.1 innings of relief this season at the MLB level.
