Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Wednesday that Peralta is dealing with some "tricep stuff," Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Boone didn't go into much detail regarding Peralta's injury, but it could help explain why the 32-year-old lefty hasn't pitched in nearly a week. A firm return timeline won't be established until more information is provided, but fantasy managers should consider Peralta day-to-day going forward.

Topa walked one and struck out one in a scoreless ninth inning Wednesday to record his third save of the season in a 6-3 win over the A's.

Andres Munoz handled the eighth inning in this one, leaving the ninth to Topa, and the 32-year-old came through with his first save since July 22. Topa's numbers have taken a bit of a step back in September, but he still has a solid 3.48 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 7:3 K:BB through 10.1 innings on the month while adding a win and a hold to Wednesday's save over 10 appearances.

The Tigers optioned White to Triple-A Toledo on Wednesday.

White was recalled from Triple-A on Tuesday, but he'll return to the minors Wednesday without appearing in a game. Brenan Hanifee will come up from Toledo to fill White's roster spot.

Zerpa (3-3) earned the win Wednesday against the Guardians. He allowed three hits while striking out four over 5.1 scoreless innings.

After Zack Greinke pitched the first 3.2 innings, Zerpa entered in relief and proceeded to blank the Guardians for 5.1 frames to earn his second straight win. The 23-year-old southpaw has excelled out of the bullpen recently, allowing just one run in his last three appearances (10.1 innings), striking out nine while issuing just one walk in that span. Zerpa may be making a case to start the 2024 campaign in Kansas City's rotation. He now sports a 4.82 ERA with a 1.26 WHIP and 29:7 K:BB across 37.1 innings this season.

Hall (3-0) allowed an unearned run and struck out one over two-thirds of an inning to earn the win Tuesday over the Astros.

Hall put a runner on base due to an error by Adam Frazier in the sixth inning, and that runner came around to score after Jorge Lopez allowed a home run. Over nine appearances in September, Hall has allowed six runs (five earned) over 7.1 innings. The southpaw has a 4.61 ERA, 1.46 WHIP and 17:5 K:BB through 13.2 innings this season.

Perez struck out the only batter he faced to earn the save in Tuesday's 9-5 win over the Astros.

Yennier Cano put two runners on, but Perez was able to escape the jam for his second save of the season. Over his last 23 appearances spanning 17.2 innings, Perez has allowed two unearned runs, 12 hits and two walks while striking out 17, though he has just one save, two holds and a win in that span. The southpaw had a rough start to the season, but he's now at a respectable 3.16 ERA despite a 1.48 WHIP and 43:23 K:BB through 51.1 innings overall. Perez has added 10 holds and a 4-1 record, and he's had more high-leverage chances since Felix Bautista (elbow) has been out.

Kelly (elbow) is expected to be activated from the 60-day injured list Friday, Pete Abraham of The Boston Globe reports.

Kelly has missed most of this season after undergoing a ulnar nerve transposition revision in his right elbow. He's made six rehab appearances and is nearly ready to rejoin Boston's bullpen following a lengthy absence.

Newcomb (knee) was transferred to the 60-day injured list Wednesday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

The transaction clears a spot on the 40-man roster for Joey Estes. Newcomb is done for the season following left knee lateral meniscus surgery but is expected to be ready for spring training.

Sweet was optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas on Wednesday, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Sweet yielded two runs over two innings during his brief time with the Athletics after being claimed off waivers. He's clearing out to make room for Wednesday's starting pitcher, Joey Estes.

Santos was placed on the 15-day injured list Wednesday with right elbow inflammation.

Given that he last pitched Sept. 16, Santos will be ineligible to return this season. He was given an opportunity to run with the closer's role after the trade deadline, but Santos logged a 6.00 ERA and 1.47 WHIP while going 3-for-6 in save situations over the past six weeks. Bryan Shaw, who blew a save Tuesday, and Aaron Bummer are presumably next up for save chances the rest of the way.
