Harper went 1-for-4 with a double and three RBI on Thursday against the Marlins.

Harper drove in his first run in the opening frame with a sacrifice fly. However, he did the majority of his damage in the seventh inning by doubling in two runners. Harper has yet to record a multi-hit performance this season, though he does have three extra-base hits and five RBI across seven starts.

Vogelbach went 4-for-6 with a home run, a double, three runs scored and two RBI on Thursday against the Nationals.

Vogelbach's strong performance began with a leadoff home run in the bottom of the first inning. After tallying his first long ball of the season, Vogelbach got on base three additional times, highlighted by an RBI single in the seventh frame. Though he has been out of the lineup against most lefties, Vogelbach is the regular leadoff hitter in Pittsburgh against righties and has collected seven hits across 18 plate appearances early in the campaign.

Cabrera went 3-for-4 with a run scored in a 4-2 win Thursday in Kansas City.

Cabrera singled in his first three plate appearances, and he's now just six hits shy of 3,000 for his career. The veteran slugger has yet to hit for much power this year with only one extra-base hit in the first seven games, but he continues to bat fifth as the designated hitter for the Tigers. There's a decent chance Cabrera will reach the historic milestone during next week's homestand.

Ohtani (0-2) took the loss Thursday, allowing six runs on six hits and two walks while striking out five in 3.2 innings in a 10-5 loss in Texas.

Ohtani's biggest foe of the game was catcher Jonah Heim. Heim was involved in all six runs credited to Ohtani as he hit a grand slam in the second inning and tacked on a RBI single in the fourth, later scoring after Ohtani was removed from the game. The reigning American League Most Valuable Player now has one good and one very bad start on the season. At the plate, the 27-year-old went 1-for-4 with a double, a run scored and a walk. His next start will likely be next Wednesday in Houston.

Jimenez (ankle) isn't starting Thursday's game against Seattle but is available as a pinch hitter, Scot Gregor of the Chicago Daily Herald reports.

Jimenez said prior to Thursday's matchup that his ankle feels "much better" after receiving treatment, so he'll be an option off the bench if needed. In spite of his bruised left ankle, the 25-year-old is optimistic that he'll be back in the starting lineup Friday against the Rays.

Choi is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Athletics, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

With southpaw Cole Irvin on the bump for Oakland in the series finale, the lefty-hitting Choi will retreat to the bench. Yandy Diaz will move across the diamond to replace Choi at first base.

Choi went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Wednesday's loss to the A's.

Tampa Bay wasn't able to produce much offense Wednesday, but Choi kept his hot start to the campaign going with his second homer. The first baseman extended his hitting streak to five games, during which he has gone 9-for-16 (.563) with four extra-base hits and six RBI. Choi has also walked five times in 21 plate appearances this season.

Manager Tony La Russa said Jimenez (ankle) won't be in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Mariners, James Fegan of The Athletic reports.

La Russa added Jimenez could talk his way into the lineup Thursday morning, so there doesn't appear to be significant concern for the bruised ankle. The 25-year-old already had X-rays come back negative after fouling a pitch off himself, and he should be back on the field within a few days.

Harper went 1-for-3 with two walks, a solo home run and a second run scored in Wednesday's 9-6 loss to the Mets.

His ninth-inning shot off a 100 mph Edwin Diaz fastball, sent the other way down the left-field line to clank off the foul pole, didn't impact the final result but did give Harper his first homer of the year. The reigning NL MVP has had a bit of a slow start to 2022, but Harper is more than capable of going on a tear at the flip of a switch.

Hummel served as the designated hitter and went 1-for-2 with four walks and a stolen base in Wednesday's 3-2 extra-inning win over Houston.

Hummel batted leadoff, as he's done in two previous starts, and extended rallies in the second and 10th innings that produced all of Arizona's runs. He showed a knack for working counts during spring training, drawing eight free passes in 32 plate appearances. While his .167 batting average doesn't spark interest, there are several Diamondbacks struggling throughout the order. If Hummel continues to generate offense, he could work his way into more regular playing time.
