  • Marcell Ozuna DH | PIT

Braves' Marcell Ozuna: Draws third straight start

Ozuna will start in left field and bat eighth in Sunday's game against the Marlins.

Just three weeks ago, Ozuna looked to have lost hold of an everyday role, and it didn't help matters that he was arrested Aug. 19 on a DUI charge. Following the arrest, Ozuna appeared in just one of Atlanta's subsequent 12 games, only to surprisingly resurface in the lineup this weekend. After going 3-for-7 with a double in the first two games of the series, Ozuna will draw a third straight start in left field Sunday. At least for the time being, Ozuna seems to have taken back the everyday role at the position from Robbie Grossman, who is on the bench for the second straight contest.

  • Rockies' Charlie Blackmon: Resting for early game

Blackmon is out of the lineup for the first game of Sunday's doubleheader with the Reds.

The lefty-hitting Blackmon is resting for the early game with southpaw Nick Lodolo on the bump for Cincinnati, but the 36-year-old will presumably check back into the starting nine for the nightcap. C.J. Cron will step in as the Rockies' designated hitter for the early game.

  • Shohei Ohtani DH | LAD

Angels' Shohei Ohtani: Settles for no-decision

Ohtani pitched eight innings against Houston on Saturday, allowing one run on six hits and no walks while striking out five batters. He did not factor in the decision.

Though Ohtani wasn't overpowering in the start, he held the Astros to a single run over eight standout frames. It was just the second time the All-Star hurler has completed eight innings this season, and his 111 pitches were the third-most he has thrown in a contest in his career, per indpendent baseball writer Taylor Blake Ward. Ohtani has bounced back from a poor start against Detroit on Aug. 21 with 15 innings of one-run ball over his past two outings.

  • Justin Turner DH | CHC

Dodgers' Justin Turner: Launches homer in win

Turner went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in a 12-1 win against San Diego on Saturday.

Turner launched one of four Dodgers homers in the contest, smashing a 407-foot, two-run shot in the fifth inning. The long ball was just his second over his past 30 games. Despite the dip in power, Turner has been swinging a hot bat for over two months, recording a .366 batting average over 134 at-bats since the start of July.

  • Franmil Reyes DH | WAS

Cubs' Franmil Reyes: Drives in two more runs Saturday

Reyes went 2-for-4 with two RBI in Saturday's loss to the Cardinals.

Reyes has now driven in 13 runs across 24 games with the Cubs, and he's batting a solid .277 during that span. He batted just .213 in 70 games with the Guardians, so he's definitely looked like a different player in Chicago. Reyes has reestablished some decent fantasy value due to his strong play and regular role with his new team.

  • Eloy Jimenez DH | TOR

White Sox's Eloy Jimenez: Homers in return

Jimenez (leg) went 1-for-2 with a three-run home run and a walk in Saturday's 13-0 win over the Twins.

Jimenez missed a game with right leg soreness, so he served as the designated hitter Saturday. He made an early impact with his first-inning homer, and the White Sox never looked back in a dominant win. The 25-year-old has gone deep three times in his last 10 games, giving him nine long balls this year. He's added a .303/.373/.472 slash line with 33 RBI, 23 runs scored and six doubles through 58 contests, though staying healthy for an extended time has been a problem for Jimenez this year.

  • Miguel Cabrera DH | DET

Tigers' Miguel Cabrera: Lands on injured list

Cabrera was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday with a left biceps strain, Evan Woodbery of MLive.com reports.

Josh Lester will be called up in a corresponding move. Per Cody Stavenhagen of The Athletic, the Tigers want to get Cabrera back before the end of the season. If this doesn't cost him much more than the minimum, Cabrera could make it back for roughly the final two weeks of the campaign. Cabrera is batting .256/.305/.317 this season at the age of 39.

  • Yordan Alvarez DH | HOU

Astros' Yordan Alvarez: Could play Sunday

Alvarez (hand) hit in the cage Saturday and could return Sunday against the Angels, Chandler Rome of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Alvarez hasn't played in a week due to hand soreness. He was initially listed in Friday's lineup but got scratched, and he wasn't deemed ready to return Saturday, either. He reportedly felt good in the cage, however, which bodes well for a Sunday return.

  • Yordan Alvarez DH | HOU

Astros' Yordan Alvarez: Remains on bench

Alvarez (hand) remains on the bench for Saturday's game against the Angels, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Alvarez hasn't started since last Saturday due to hand soreness. He was listed in Friday's lineup but wound up getting scratched, and he's evidently still not ready a day later. J.J. Matijevic will be the designated hitter in his absence.

  • Eloy Jimenez DH | TOR

White Sox's Eloy Jimenez: Back in action Saturday

Jimenez (leg) is starting Saturday against the Twins.

Jimenez wasn't in the lineup Friday due to right leg soreness, but he appeared off the bench and went 0-for-1. He'll serve as the designated hitter and bat cleanup Saturday.
