Blackmon isn't in Colorado's lineup Friday versus the Giants.

With southpaw Kyle Harrison set to start on the bump for San Francisco, Blackmon will take a seat to begin Friday's contest. His absence will move Elias Diaz into the DH role, allowing Jacob Stallings to start behind the dish.

Stanton (hamstring) is aiming to return for Monday's series opener against the Phillies, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Stanton has been on the injured list since June 23 due to a left hamstring strain. He hasn't been sent on a rehab assignment, but the 34-year-old slugger still appears poised to join the Yankees following a weekend series against the Red Sox. Stanton was slashing .304/.377/.551 with five home runs and 16 RBI in June before going on the IL.

Soler went 2-for-3 with a pair of walks, an RBI, a stolen base and a run scored in Thursday's 6-4 loss to the Dodgers.

Soler is batting just .208 over seven games since the All-Star break, but he's also drawn eight walks in that span. Those on-base skills have helped him keep hold of the leadoff spot for the Giants, and he even picked up his first steal of the year Thursday. The slugger is likely miscast atop the order, but he hasn't hit consistently or for enough power to occupy a more natural spot in the middle of the order. Soler is slashing .224/.314/.393 with 11 home runs, 36 RBI, 50 runs scored and 20 doubles over 373 plate appearances.

Grossman started at designated hitter and went 2-for-4 in Thursday's 2-1 win over the White Sox.

Grossman got the start at DH, which has been a revolving door for the Rangers in 2024. Justin Foscue was given a four-game run after being called up last weekend, but he went 1-for-13 with seven strikeouts and hasn't been seen since Tuesday. It's been Grossman and Travis Jankowski the last two days. Eventually, when third baseman Josh Jung (wrist) is ready to return, Josh Smith will likely settle in as the primary DH.

Madris went 3-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Thursday's 3-0 win over the Guardians.

Madris was just recalled from Triple-A Toledo on Sunday, and after going hitless in his first six at-bats with the Tigers, he broke out Thursday. The 28-year-old appeared in 51 total games over the previous two seasons with the Pirates and Astros, offering little fantasy production in the process. He is unlikely to be much more than a depth option for Detroit.

Ohtani went 2-for-4 with a double and a solo home run during Thursday's 6-4 win over the Giants.

Ohtani and Nick Ahmed hit back-to-back homers in the eighth inning off Tyler Rogers to put the Dodgers ahead. The long ball was Ohtani's 31st of the season, a total that trails only Aaron Judge in MLB. Since the start of July, Ohtani has gone 22-for-74 (.297) with five home runs, 12 RBI and 12 runs scored.

Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Wednesday he's not expecting Stanton (hamstring) to return to action for the team's series versus Boston this weekend, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Stanton continued to do work on the field Wednesday, and Boone said he thinks the slugger is "towards the end of" his rehab. However, while the manager didn't rule out Stanton being activated at some point this weekend to face the Red Sox, he also indicated that such a scenario is not an expectation. It doesn't appear that Stanton has experienced a setback, so he seems likely to return to action next week if he remains out for the Boston series.

The Twins optioned Camargo to Triple-A St. Paul on Thursday.

Camargo's most recent stint with the Twins lasted two weeks, and he went hitless in just two plate appearances. The 25-year-old is still looking for his first base knock in the majors, having gone 0-for-6 in his limited opportunities.

Turner went 3-for-4 with one RBI and one run scored in Wednesday's 6-3 win over the Rays.

Turner has logged back-to-back three-hit efforts after opening July in a 4-for-41 slide. While he didn't knock an extra-base hit Wednesday, it's still encouraging to see the veteran make better contact. For the year, he's slashing .243/.339/.359 with six home runs, 31 RBI, 35 runs scored and no stolen bases across 85 contests.

Malloy isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's game in Cleveland, Chris McCosky of The Detroit News reports.

Malloy had started each of the last four contests and batted no lower than third during that time, but he will begin Wednesday's game on the bench. Riley Greene will serve as the Tigers' designated hitter while Malloy sits.
