Schwarber went 1-for-5 with a solo home run and a walk in Thursday's 4-2 extra-inning loss to Atlanta.

Schwarber delivered a 449-foot moonshot in the third inning, tagging right-hander Spencer Schwellenbach for the righty's first run allowed on the season. The veteran slugger is tearing the cover off the ball to begin the season, batting .283 with six long balls and 12 RBI to go with 12 runs scored and eight walks over 56 plate appearances.

Heineman went 3-for-4 with an RBI and a stolen base in Thursday's 4-3 extra-inning loss to the Red Sox.

Starting at catcher for the resting Alejandro Kirk, Heineman drove in Toronto's first run on a seventh-inning single as he extended his hitting streak to five games. Although Heineman has gone 9-for-18 with one home run, one double, two RBI and one stolen base through five outings this season, he'll likely remain Kirk's backup behind the plate.

Red Sox manager Alex Cora said Thursday that Yoshida (shoulder) will begin playing in extended spring training games next week, Ian Browne of MLB.com reports.

Cora noted that Yoshida currently has good days and bad days with how his surgically repaired right shoulder is feeling and won't be cleared for a formal minor-league rehab assignment until he is throwing at full strength consistently. With Rafael Devers at designated hitter and Jarren Duran, Ceddanne Rafaela and Wilyer Abreu absorbing the bulk of the outfield at-bats with the big club, Yoshida faces uncertainty with his playing time once he's deemed ready to rejoin the active roster.

Bryant is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Brewers.

Colorado will be holding out a few of their lineup regulars for a day game after a night game, as catcher Hunter Goodman and shortstop Ezequiel Tovar will join Bryant on the bench for the series finale. Nick Martini will serve as Colorado's designated hitter in place of Bryant.

Rice went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in Wednesday's 4-3 win against Detroit.

Rice broke a scoreless tie with a two-run shot to center field in the seventh inning. The second-year slugger batted in the leadoff spot for New York, which he's done four times in the team's past seven games. Rice has been very productive to begin the campaign, slashing .306/.419/.667 with three home runs, two doubles, a triple, four RBI, nine runs and two stolen bases through 43 plate appearances. His 25.6 percent strikeout rate isn't ideal, but Rice has balanced the punchouts with a 16.3 percent walk rate.

Smith started at first base and went 3-for-5 with a double, a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 9-0 win over the Orioles.

Smith was one of four members of the Diamondbacks that went deep in the win. His two-run shot in the fifth inning, his first homer of the season, was the first of back-to-back homers. The Diamondbacks are finally seeing a string of right-handed starters, which has given Smith starts in four consecutive games. During that stretch, the lefty hitter is 7-for-13 with three extra-base hits, three RBI and four runs scored.

Yelich went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run, an additional run and a stolen base in a 17-2 rout of the Rockies on Wednesday.

Yelich belted a massive 465-foot, two-run shot in the ninth inning as Milwaukee tacked seven runs onto an already insurmountable lead. It was the second straight game with a long ball for the veteran slugger, and he extended his modest hitting streak to four games. Yelich has gone 5-for-17 with five RBI over that stretch after struggling with a 2-for-24 mark and just three RBI over his first eight contests of the campaign.

Flores went 3-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored in Wednesday's 8-6 extra-inning win over the Reds.

After lining an RBI single in the sixth frame, Flores tied the game at 6-6 with a solo homer off Reds right-hander Tony Santillan in the eighth inning. The veteran infielder is searching for a bounce-back campaign in 2025, and he's off to a fast start by batting .273 with five long balls, 14 RBI and seven runs scored over 44 at-bats (12 games) to open the season.

Diaz went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Wednesday's 5-4 win over the Angels.

Diaz took the second pitch he faced from Reid Detmers deep to right field for a 327-foot solo homer, his first of the 2025 campaign. Diaz has gotten off to a slow start, but he's reached base in six of his last seven outings and has gone 6-for-28 with two walks, three runs scored and a solo homer over that span.

Devers went 2-for-4 with two doubles in Wednesday's 2-1 extra-innings loss to the Blue Jays.

Wednesday was the second time Devers recorded two doubles in a game, and it was his fourth multi-hit game of the season. Since starting the season 0-for-19 with 15 strikeouts, Devers has bounced back and has gone 13-for-30 with five walks, eight runs scored, one home run and eight RBI.
