Jorge Soler DH | LAA
Angels' Jorge Soler: Leaves with apparent injury
Soler was removed from Wednesday's game in Boston in the third inning with an undisclosed injury, Rhett Bollinger of MLB.com reports.
The Angels haven't provided word on what exactly happened with Soler, but he was replaced by Matthew Lugo in right field before the bottom of the third inning. Soler had an infield single and drew a walk in his two plate appearances before departing. The Angels should have an update on his condition soon.

Gavin Sheets 1B | SD
Padres' Gavin Sheets: Back in lineup
Sheets (head) will serve as the designated hitter and bat fifth in Tuesday's game against the Giants.
Sheets missed a start Monday after colliding with the outfield wall Sunday, though he appeared as a pinch hitter during Monday's game. Now fully recovered, he'll aim to bounce back after going 2-for-18 across his last seven games.

Anthony Santander RF | TOR
Blue Jays' Anthony Santander: Gets PRP injection in shoulder
Santander will rest for 5-to-7 days after receiving a platelet-rich plasma injection in his injured left shoulder, Mitch Bannon of The Athletic reports.
Santander landed on the 10-day injured list this past Friday with a shoulder injury that had been nagging at him for a while. The hope is that the PRP injection will help speed along the recovery process and that he will be ready to resume throwing and ramping up after a brief shutdown period.

Gavin Sheets 1B | SD
Padres' Gavin Sheets: Pinch hits Monday
Sheets (head/hip/wrist/thumb) grounded out as a pinch hitter in Monday's 1-0 win over the Giants.
Per AJ Cassavell of MLB.com, Sheets was evaluated for a head bruise, hip soreness and wrist/thumb soreness after colliding with the outfield wall Sunday against Pittsburgh. The veteran slugger was also evaluated for a concussion, though he appears to have passed through protocol given his ability to enter as a pinch hitter Monday. Sheets said prior to the game against San Francisco that he expects to avoid being placed on the IL, and the pinch-hit appearance similarly suggests that such a stint won't be needed.

Masataka Yoshida DH | BOS
Red Sox's Masataka Yoshida: Increases intensity
Yoshida (shoulder) has increased the intensity of his throwing program while playing catch out to 75 feet, MLB.com reports.
Yoshida had been throwing out to 120 feet prior to being shut down in April. The club hasn't pegged an estimated return date for Yoshida, other than this report indicating July at the earliest. Even when Yoshida is ready to go, there's no guarantee he has a spot in the starting lineup.

Shohei Ohtani DH | LAD
Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani: Homers in loss Monday
Ohtani went 1-for-4 with a home run and a sacrifice fly Monday in an extra-inning loss to the Mets.
The Dodgers were held scoreless through six frames before Ohtani launched a solo shot to right field in the seventh. The star slugger added a sacrifice fly in the ninth off Mets closer Edwin Diaz to send the game to an extra frame. Ohtani has recently ramped up his preparation as a pitcher as he gets closer to making his Dodgers debut on the mound, but that work hasn't impacted his hitting -- he's belted six long balls among his eight total hits over his past eight games.

Marcell Ozuna DH | PIT
Braves' Marcell Ozuna: Battling through hip issue
Ozuna is playing through a hip injury that he'll likely need to manage throughout the season, 680 The Fan Atlanta reports.
Ozuna's hip issue doesn't appear to be an immediate threat to him playing in the team's upcoming series against Arizona, but it's worth noting that he'll presumably receive more days off than usual as the campaign unfolds. "It's one of those things he is going to have to manage and get to the offseason," stated general manager Alex Anthopoulos. The veteran slugger has only sat out of three matchups this year, so it appears he's been successful in managing the injury to this point.

Gavin Sheets 1B | SD
Padres' Gavin Sheets: Out of Monday's lineup
Sheets (undisclosed) is absent from the lineup for Monday's contest versus the Giants.
Sheets was forced from Sunday's game against the Pirates after colliding with the outfield wall. He was set to be evaluated for various injuries, and it's not clear at this point whether a trip to the 10-day IL is on the table. Tyler Wade is in left field and batting seventh for the Padres on Monday, and Sheets noted before the game that he'll be available off the bench if called upon, per Dennis Lin of The Athletic.
